This is a five stars and probably ten if Yelp allowed. We were traveling from San Diego back home to Tennesse and had skipped breakfast to get one last hug and kiss from the grandkids and the Keeps- the keepers of the grandkids. We looked on Yelp and found the reviews outstanding. About five mile off the interstate in a nondescript strip mall that has good signage and is perpendicular to the road you will find this gem. I gave it 4 stars because I can definitely make these sandwiches at home. But to each their own. We were just headed home from a great weekend at the beach, back to Arizona when we were looking for a great place to eat. Once again my fellow yelpers didn't disappoint. I'm one of the horrible ones who always looks for great reviews but doesn't write one often. I am a foodie and always looking for a fresh, delicious place to stop with my family. All 3 of my kids (ages 5 and under) and my vegetarian husband enjoyed there food and there are lots of choices even for the pickiest eaters. After ordering the guy came around with fresh baked little chocolate chip cookies that were amazing....and even offered the kids some watermelon slices. I had the 1/2 turkey sandwich and a 1/2 Asian chicken salad, both delicious! So happy we stopped and had such an awesome experience. This is the first time I've been here and I'll for sure be back. The food is delicious and affordable. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. I have no complaints only praise for this place. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was so delicious the bread was fresh and tasty. The meat was freshly sliced and piled high and the veggies on the sandwich were crisp and delicious. Very tasty food and friendly staff! The portions are big so we split a half sandwich and half salad. Even though it was very busy, it was fairly fast to get our food. The Carter sandwich was fantastic with lots of stuff on it and we could get it as a panini that melts the cheese. They even came around and gave each of us a fresh soft chocolate chip cookie! We found this place after searching Yelp on a road trip to Tucson. The deli was bustling when we walked in but we were greeted right away and could sense how friendly everyone was. When we told the man at the counter that it was our first visit, he gave us a great overview how the ordering worked and encouraged us to customize our sandwiches if needed. I had no idea this place was opening until it opened. I tried the "Carter" and it was delicious. It comes with turkey,provolone,lettuce,tomato,avocado and chipotle mayo. I got the meal deal so I got jalapeño flavored chips and a drink. They have self serve fountain drinks and offer sweet and unsweetened tea. The sweet tea is good since it isn't overly sweet. They also have desserts which my wife tried the bread pudding without nuts and it was out of this world. We would return for the bread pudding alone. The place was nice and clean and great service.
