We were in Winter Park for the afternoon and looking for a good, affordable lunch. I'd heard about Bricks & Bowls before (as well as the Ghost Kitchen concept), so we decided to give it a try. I was immediately drawn to the Ghost Pepper Chicken sandwich. I noticed they offered a Boxed Lunch combo that included a half-brick focaccia sandwich, a choice of side, chips, and a cookie. Under the Soups & Sides section of the menu, I saw soups, salads, fruit, chips, and bread listed, so I asked if I could get the Kale Caesar Salad as my side. I was told it wasn't considered a side. That struck me as a little odd since it was listed under "Soups & Sides," but I didn't press the issue and instead ordered the sandwich and salad separately. I do wish there had been a sandwich-and-salad combo option, especially since it's Florida and 100 degrees outside--hot soup wasn't exactly calling my name that day! The Ghost Pepper Chicken sandwich was a bit dry, and I didn't notice much Swiss cheese or enough ghost pepper bang sauce to add much heat or moisture. On the plus side, the focaccia bread was fantastic, and the sandwich was piled high with sliced chicken. Even the half-brick size was plenty filling. The Kale Caesar Salad was much smaller than expected and, ironically, seemed like it would have fit perfectly as a combo side. It also contained more romaine than kale, with just a sprinkling of baby kale on top. The Caesar dressing, however, was excellent--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. At $6 for a small bowl, I was hoping for a little more substance. I also treated myself to the Belgian Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookie that would have come with the Boxed Lunch combo, and it was outstanding. Soft, gooey, and packed with flavor. Bricks & Bowls has a pleasant outdoor seating area in a courtyard setting, with tables shaded by large umbrellas. Just keep in mind that there is no indoor seating, and even with the shade, it can be pretty warm during a Florida summer. Overall, it was a decent first experience with some highlights and a few disappointments. The food had some strong points, particularly the focaccia bread, dressing, and cookie, but at around $20 for a quick-service lunch, I left feeling that the value didn't quite match the price. read more

Great lunch counter with a ton of different options. All seating seems to be outside, but there was plenty that was covered and it was a really lovely, comfortable space just off of the hustle and bustle of Park Ave. We got a half brick and a salad, a little on the expensive side, but the food came out incredibly quickly and seemed fresh. The focaccia bread was great and we really loved the peppercorn caeser dressing that came with the salad. My sandwich did not have tomato listed, but did come with tomato on it which was a concern because I'm allergic, but I was able to pull it off. Could have been more of an issue for a different patron, though! The guys behind the counter were very efficient and friendly, but didn't know what was in one of the sauces, which was again a concern for me with a tomato allergy. I went for lunch as it was walking distance from my office. When I arrived, I was greeted and I ordered a build your own bowl (12 dollars) with spinach as the greens, orzo and rice as the base, chicken as the protein (extra 2.50), olives, feta, picked onions, and other toppings. I also was given a dressing option, so I chose Mediterranean herb vinaigrette. My ordered was prepared in front of me. When I got my order, I went outside to a table. The portion looked generous. The items are fresh, but I poured all of the dressing, making it quite acidic and balsamic flavored. It was still enjoyable and filling. The chicken was a bit dry and could have been seasoned more. At least the toppings and bases helped. I was able to save some leftovers home too. The service was pretty good and patient. The attendant told me all my choices and each step as well. I was able to get a bag when requested. The seating was all outdoors, but covered. There is a small step when entering/exiting the restaurant, so please watch it. There were an ample amount of tables. I wished there was a small fountain outside to add the upscale Winter Park charm. For a counter service restaurant, I thought the bowl to be a bit expensive for a little over 16 dollars after taxes and tips. However, the quality of items were pretty good and the bowl was pretty filling. Next time, I will just drizzle the dressing than pouring it all in. I will also try their brick sandwiches and other deals next time I visit. Overall: B- read more

My best friend took me here for the forat time. And I have to say i am very happy she did. This place has amazing food! And very filling. And everything looks quite healthy as well which is a plus. I couldn't finish what I ordered. But I'm glad I didn't because I got to share it with the hubby after I got home and he loved it as well. I ordered the combo with the mushroom pizza. Omg! I enjoyed this place a lot! It is more of a fast casual type of restaurant. The outdoor seating is also super cute and aesthetic. They offer a lot of bowls, sandwiches, and pizza on focaccia bread. I got the foc'n pizza with no relish, no pepperoni, & subbed it for chicken. It was so flavorful and the focaccia bread was so fluffy, crispy, and light. The portion size is big so you can definitely eat half and save the other for later. Service was great & the cashiers were nice! Would definitely come back and try more options. read more

We've driven past this place a half dozen times and thought it was a pottery place. Decided to check it out today and found not pottery, but a super delicious sandwich spot! It's all outdoor seating in an honestly beautiful courtyard you wouldn't expect to find right on Park Ave. The tables are all covered with umbrellas and there are misters scattered throughout to keep you cool. It would be a great spot to work or study over lunch. We both got the lunchboxes w/ the half sandwich. The boxes come with a sandwich, chips, side (pasta salad, potato salad, or fruit), and a warm cookie. The "bricks" are sandwiches on yummy, soft, flavorful focaccia. My husband had the buffalo crackin chicken w/ a side of potato salad, and I had their seasonal smashed meatball sub w/ the pasta salad. We also got a Classico pizza (also on focaccia) for the kids. Everything was really really delicious. Really delicious. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because $15/entree for a fast casual spot is steep. I get it's Park Ave but gah. Very glad I tried this location in Winter Park. I ordered the Spanish eggplant on half a brick of focaccia bread. The bread was very fresh. Soft and tasty. The eggplant was delicious. I ordered and paid at their kiosk and waited a short time until my order was ready. This was my first visit. The folks at Warby Parker suggested it. Great suggestion! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The team inside the restaurant was very happy to explain everything to me. I chose to get a soup and half focaccia sandwich combo. Ghost pepper chicken sandwich and tomato basil soup. Pellegrino sparkling juice. And a Belgian chocolate salted caramel cookie. Order is placed inside and, if you are eating there as I was, go outside and seat yourself in this cozy, quaint, pleasant courtyard. I've had the opportunity to try food from Bricks & Bowls a few times in a couple different capacities--a catered meal and takeout/delivery. The food has been great every time. My latest meal from there was their boxed lunch combo. I had their seasonal Thanksgiving sandwich as the main component of the boxed lunch. It was fantastic--everything I love about Thanksgiving dinner sandwiched between two pieces of fluffy, flavorful focaccia. I would gladly order that again and again. I also had the seasonal pumpkin spice cookie in the box. It was a crispy cookie and I'm more of a soft, chewy cookie person, but the flavor was still good. On other visits, I've tried their sunrise egg bites (tasty), chicken caesar bowl (delish), and Belgian chocolate salted caramel cookies (addictive). Bricks & Bowls is an amazing addition to the Park Ave area. The meal I had was not only really delicious but a great value as well. I got the truffled mushroom focaccia combo with the garden salad. The salad was loaded with all kinds of tasty items like mixed greens, carrots, marinated chick peas, cucumbers, red onion,and tomatoes. Ask for their southwest dressing, its got a great chipotle flavor. The outdoor seating area is really nice especially at night when the patio is all lit up. Honestly though, I keep thinking about that truffle focaccia, it's like a pizza but not quite. I appreciated the fans outside- although they weren't really adjustable so they were blowing cool away quite literally away from our faces. We walked in and it's a small, outdoor courtyard with comfortable, shaded seating. They serve healthy bowls and flat bread pizzas, customized the way you want. This cute ghost kitchen was settled behind Park Ave was a great spot for a hearty lunch. I ordered the boxed lunch which brings half a brick sandwich, a side, chips, and a cookie. It was a refreshing meal on a hot day. All the ingredients on the sandwich were fresh, the cookie was the perfect texture and was all jist enough to really male you feel satiated. Really loved my experience at Bricks and Bowls Winter Park! I tried the Big Buddha Bowl and on a separate occasion the carne asada Bowl as take out - both were SO FRESH and SO DELICIOUS! The portion size is very large and filling. I loved the Buddha bowl didn't have meat but all of the flavors more than compensated for it - I think you can add protein if you desire it but I thought it was amazing as it comes. I can't comment on the service as I didn't interact with the staff although it seemed clean enough, trash cans were overflowing outside though. I also found it difficult to find any water and had to order a bottle of water, there may be some but I just didn't see it as an option. I recently tried this place last Saturday with my friends and had such a nice experience. I thought the service was really nice and the outside seating area was so beautiful with all the flowers . I chose the build your own bowl option. I like that you can choose from assortment of veggies, proteins and sides. It was definitely a huge plus on my healthy journey. I will say the only downfall was I didn't realize the proteins cost extra but I chose the shrimp and it was well worth it. It's was a nice garlic taste. I would recommend the chipotle ranch dressing . The build your own bowl was priced around 11 dollars and if you get protein and a drink it might run you around $15-20. But it's worth it . read more

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was more than amazing. The food was so incredibly tasty and full of flavor. I ordered the Foc'n Hot pizza and my bf ordered the Truffled Shrooms pizza and both were phenomenal. It looks like a small amount of food but it is very filling. The restaurant was hidden in a little courtyard that was quite beautiful and I will say finding a spot to sit was kind of hard because it was busy, but I suppose that is a good thing. So thrilled to see this spot open up here in Winter Park. With a beautiful courtyard to enjoy your meal in, there is lots to choose from on their menu....amazing sandwiches on fresh focaccia bread, pizzas (also made on focaccia bread) and really delicious bowls. The topping in particular on the bowls, are really good with lots of attention to the details of each....the eggplant, the grilled green beans, the marinated onions, all delicious. I enjoyed "the box" with a half sandwich, kettle chips, a fruit cup, and a wonderful homemade cookie...my wife had a bowl packed with so many fresh toppings. Food is amazing. We've had Ghost Kitchen sandwiches and cookies from multiple work catering occasions. It's so delicious it's worth a visit to their locations. Unfortunately I don't know how well-thought out the layout of this location is. It's a bit cramped and awkward to navigate. Will definitely keep coming back though. read more

adorable place to sit outside but the food is mediocre at best. there were 3 of us eating and we all foot different build your own bowls. everything in the bowl is served cold including the rice and protein. Warming some items may have been a little better but honestly it was pretty tasteless. 2 of us did not eat much of ours and did not take the rest home either as we would not have wanted it later. Unorganized slow mess. Went here with my family and ordered a sandwich. First they made my sandwich incorrect so I brought it back inside. It was a cold sandwich so I figured they would finish it asap and get it back out to me so I could eat with my family (PS the only thing on this sandwich was chicken and bacon but I guess that's too hard). 20 MINUTES later when my family was finished with all their food it came out WRONG AGAIN. The table next to us ordered a flatbread and they messed their order up 3 TIMES. There is a window that shows the people back in the kitchen preparing the food and the main handler of the food WAS NOT WEARING GLOVES and handling all the sandwiches.
