    Carne asada bowl

This place is our go to for fresh tasting food. High quality ingredients and lots of flavor. I feel like my money goes really far here with the size of the meals. The Belgian chocolate cookies are a MUST. Love the outdoor seating & garden vibes. This is also a local place, and family business. Support local!

I went for lunch as it was walking distance from my office. When I arrived, I was greeted and I ordered a build your own bowl (12 dollars) with spinach as the greens, orzo and rice as the base, chicken as the protein (extra 2.50), olives, feta, picked onions, and other toppings. I also was given a dressing option, so I chose Mediterranean herb vinaigrette. My ordered was prepared in front of me. When I got my order, I went outside to a table. The portion looked generous. The items are fresh, but I poured all of the dressing, making it quite acidic and balsamic flavored. It was still enjoyable and filling. The chicken was a bit dry and could have been seasoned more. At least the toppings and bases helped. I was able to save some leftovers home too. The service was pretty good and patient. The attendant told me all my choices and each step as well. I was able to get a bag when requested. The seating was all outdoors, but covered. There is a small step when entering/exiting the restaurant, so please watch it. There were an ample amount of tables. I wished there was a small fountain outside to add the upscale Winter Park charm. For a counter service restaurant, I thought the bowl to be a bit expensive for a little over 16 dollars after taxes and tips. However, the quality of items were pretty good and the bowl was pretty filling. Next time, I will just drizzle the dressing than pouring it all in. I will also try their brick sandwiches and other deals next time I visit. Overall: B-

My best friend took me here for the forat time. And I have to say i am very happy she did. This place has amazing food! And very filling. And everything looks quite healthy as well which is a plus. I couldn't finish what I ordered. But I'm glad I didn't because I got to share it with the hubby after I got home and he loved it as well. I ordered the combo with the mushroom pizza. Omg! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I can't wait to go back! I never knew this place existed but I'm glad that I know of it now. Until next time.

I enjoyed this place a lot! It is more of a fast casual type of restaurant. The outdoor seating is also super cute and aesthetic. They offer a lot of bowls, sandwiches, and pizza on focaccia bread. I got the foc'n pizza with no relish, no pepperoni, & subbed it for chicken. It was so flavorful and the focaccia bread was so fluffy, crispy, and light. The portion size is big so you can definitely eat half and save the other for later. Service was great & the cashiers were nice! Would definitely come back and try more options.

B&B has a beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy sandwiches, bowls, or focaccia bread pizza! I love the Tuscan Italian sandwich and the cookies, the meals are a great value for being on Park Ave!

We've driven past this place a half dozen times and thought it was a pottery place. Decided to check it out today and found not pottery, but a super delicious sandwich spot! It's all outdoor seating in an honestly beautiful courtyard you wouldn't expect to find right on Park Ave. The tables are all covered with umbrellas and there are misters scattered throughout to keep you cool. It would be a great spot to work or study over lunch. We both got the lunchboxes w/ the half sandwich. The boxes come with a sandwich, chips, side (pasta salad, potato salad, or fruit), and a warm cookie. The "bricks" are sandwiches on yummy, soft, flavorful focaccia. My husband had the buffalo crackin chicken w/ a side of potato salad, and I had their seasonal smashed meatball sub w/ the pasta salad. We also got a Classico pizza (also on focaccia) for the kids. Everything was really really delicious. Really delicious. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because $15/entree for a fast casual spot is steep. I get it's Park Ave but gah. I'll still come back as often as my wallet will let me.

Very glad I tried this location in Winter Park. I ordered the Spanish eggplant on half a brick of focaccia bread. The bread was very fresh. Soft and tasty. The eggplant was delicious. I ordered and paid at their kiosk and waited a short time until my order was ready. Be advised there is outside tables only and even though they have fans it was hot out there late on a Saturday afternoon.

This was my first visit. The folks at Warby Parker suggested it. Great suggestion! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The team inside the restaurant was very happy to explain everything to me. I chose to get a soup and half focaccia sandwich combo. Ghost pepper chicken sandwich and tomato basil soup. Pellegrino sparkling juice. And a Belgian chocolate salted caramel cookie. Order is placed inside and, if you are eating there as I was, go outside and seat yourself in this cozy, quaint, pleasant courtyard. Completely open and well covered against harsh sun or afternoon sprinkles. Just a fantastic experience. Good food. Great concept executed with great care. A CDL Highly Recommend spot!

Bricks & Bowls is an amazing addition to the Park Ave area. The meal I had was not only really delicious but a great value as well. I got the truffled mushroom focaccia combo with the garden salad. The salad was loaded with all kinds of tasty items like mixed greens, carrots, marinated chick peas, cucumbers, red onion, and tomatoes. Ask for their southwest dressing, its got a great chipotle flavor. The outdoor seating area is really nice especially at night when the patio is all lit up. Honestly though, I keep thinking about that truffle focaccia, it's like a pizza but not quite. It's really it's own thing, and it had so much great flavor, like something you'd get at a fancy restaurant. I can't wait to come back here again.

We LOVE this spot when visiting my Peanut at Rollins College. The flavors are amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We always get a few different bowls, sandwiches and a cookie to round out the perfectly tasty lunch.

Very clean lunch spot near Winter Park Hospital. There was a nice selection of bowls, sandwiches and smoothies. It was a bit pricy for the portion sizes and the wait was about 10 minutes from when we ordered to when we got our food.

This cute ghost kitchen was settled behind Park Ave was a great spot for a hearty lunch. I ordered the boxed lunch which brings half a brick sandwich, a side, chips, and a cookie. It was a refreshing meal on a hot day. All the ingredients on the sandwich were fresh, the cookie was the perfect texture and was all jist enough to really male you feel satiated. The only reason for no stars was the customer service was just a bit subpar, especially for the area.

The antipasta salad was delicious. It was packed with lots of meat and I enjoyed the dressing. The garlic knots were PACKES with garlic. So much garlic that yes, it will fill your car, your fridge, and you may also smell like garlic. They were cooked great. As for the pepperoni pizza, it was just okay. It did have a good amount of pepperonis on it, but the pizza as a whole just lacked flavor. It was a bit bland. Also the bottom of the pizza needed to cook a bit more. I will come back but I think the antipasta and knots will be my go to.

Short answer: truffle fries, delicious. Mediterranean salad, delicious. Veal parmigiana, very good…read more Longer answer: those truffle fries though?! Yes, their flavor was good, but I was mostly impressed with the perfect cook. Just the right amount of crispy outside, soft inside. These surprised me cos honestly, they're just fries, right? But these were very, very good. The Mediterranean salad was a pleasure to eat. Fresh ingredients, perfect ratio of ingredients to lettuce. Also, perfect amount of dressing that came on the side (I didn't ask for this, so I wonder if it's just automatic). I don't like salad swimming in dressing, and the amount they have lightly coated everything. Just how I like it. The veal parmigiana hero was also good, but I did find myself adding pepper, oregano and crushed red pepper flakes to it. The bread was hot and soft, and I also kinda wanted more meat on it. But it was still delicious. I could o it finish half, but of course I had salad and some fries, too. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The ambiance was also excellent. They had a great playlist going that had me softly dancing in my seat the entire meal, and it was quiet enough that I could hear the conversation from my friends without anyone yelling. I will definitely be back! How can I not? There were so many other things on the menu that I wanted to try. Oh, honorable mentions since I didn't take pictures of anyone else's food: 2 of my friends got small veggie calzones and another friend got eggplant parm with spaghetti. They all liked everything, and we all took doggy bags. Not because we didn't like it, it was just big portions.

I like to take the focus off me by saying I have a procrastination demon because I can wait until the last minute to plan things . Unfortunately, I ran behind at work today and we had a 5:30 reservation for Bar Italia. I've only been there one other time and when I went, it was still fairly new to the area so it wasn't busy. Apparently the residents of Winter Park have now adopted this spot as their official happy hour headquarters because this place was PACKED. I messaged the staff ahead of time letting them know we were running late and asked if we could move our reservation, but unfortunately they told us there weren't any later reservations available. We still decided to drive there anyway since we'll take you without a reservation. Upon arrival, there were already several groups ahead of us asking about seating and everyone was being told the same thing: they were no longer taking reservations for the night and to try back again in 30 minutes. (I didn't expect to be accommodated because I know we were late so please don't take this as me complaining; I am just giving the complete run down.) Thankfully, I had a backup restaurant for us to try which was 1803 Pizza/Kitchen. I had read some reviews that were amazing and some that were kind of on the fence, but I figured we should just try it for ourselves. Surprisingly, there was only one other table dining inside when we arrived, but there were several people constantly coming in and out picking up to-go orders. It felt like a cozy family neighborhood restaurant, I really like that feeling. We ordered the house salad, fries, Margherita pizza, and chicken parmesan, which is made a little differently because the pasta is tossed in vodka sauce instead of marinara. The salad was simple but SO good; it's also enough to share. The balsamic really made the salad and everything tasted super fresh and crisp, which I appreciated. My fiancé doesn't eat onions so they accommodated us by using grape tomatoes instead of their normal tomato/onion blend which was really nice. I'm usually not a huge fan of ordering fries at restaurants because a lot of times they taste like they came straight from a freezer bag , but these honestly tasted like fresh fries and were so good! They also had some sort of seasoning on them that wasn't overly salty but added so much flavor. Our food came out quickly and both entrées were served at the same time. The pizza had the perfect amount of bite, although I do wish the center crust had been just a little firmer. Overall though, the flavor was great. The crust was airy and light, the sauce was delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed everything we ate. My only small pet peeve is that I don't think the pasta itself was freshly made, and that was one of the reasons I originally wanted to try the restaurant because I had read reviews saying they offered fresh pasta. But honestly, everything was still delicious regardless. We ended up getting dessert to-go, so I don't have a review for that just yet, but if it's anywhere near as good as the food was, I already know we're going to enjoy it too!

Three salads, an olive appetizer, two beers, bread, three pizzas, one dessert, all nailed perfectly. Server even checked in about our food allergies. Two months later, tried going with my fiance. 6:30pm reservation on a Sunday. We showed up ten minutes early, to try and be cordial in case it was busy again, like last time. We walked in to four full tables, and four that were clearly unbussed and still dirty. Three servers are handling the four tables. We're greeted, and the first thing we're asked is if we'd "be okay sitting at the bar?" We told them about our reservation, and we're asked to wait a few minutes... while the servers went back to their other customers. Immediate red flag. It's still loud and cold, inside, with the owner and two other BoH members handling food orders. After we told them again about our reservation, we asked if we could sit on the patio. Nodding at each other and pointing that none of the dirty tables inside still had been cleaned, whatsoever. The young server that finally sat us invited to go over the menu as she went to "find out who would be helping us, this evening." (It turned out to be her, with obvious reluctance on her face.) We then waited ten minutes, with room temperature water and another couple eating takeout pizza, directly from the box, five feet away from us... On a night we both had planned for weeks. She inevitably came back, and we Immediately told her we needed to leave. There's no reason why three servers can't handle that lax of a clientele volume, while also bussing their own tables. If you're dropping around $30 a person on dinner, with the literal business owner present behind the counter, that level of blatant laziness shouldn't even be possible. We'll try again on a day expected to be busy. They clearly need some fire under their asses, and it's not coming from where it should be.
