The food was good but the service was slow. If you're busy, I get that, I don't mind waiting, just tell me. We waiting for at least 10 minutes before the server even took our drink order. Had she walked by and just said "Hi folks, I'll be with you in just a moment" I wouldn't have been mad. I just don't like being ignored. Our food seemed to take forever to come out, and again, we were left in the dark. The server should've just come to the table, told us there was a delay and checked if we needed refills. I love visiting the low country, but talk about Low let's discuss Bricks on. Boundary. They set the bar so low it sits on their dirty floor. Drinks were good. We decided to get the nachos, boy what a terrible low idea. We waiting over 30 minutes in a half empty place. Ordered the chicken and chili extra topper. It was served Eskimo style - COLD!! What the F, really LOW life cook. Try and take pride in what you do. Told the nice bartender and she stared at at me like "eat it and shut up" We were starving so we all put the cold card board chips in our mouths, slugged a sip of the drink cause we needed something. They offered to cook us another one, but to sit for another 30 minutes is a LOW down bad idea. Their answer: they took a LOW amount off the bill - $1.60 wow, what a LOWLY response. Next time your really hungry and the choice is Bricks on Boundary or your your flip-flops, ketchup the shoes up for a better meal!!! read more

I always have loved bricks and that is why they are getting any stars at all. I ordered on doordash at 7:00. Well, it took them 20 minutes to get my food out of the kitchen. as a person who has worked in the kitchen i understand timing. but when the burger got to me it was cold. then, when i bit into my burger there was paper in it. a whole sheet of food paper. i assume it was the paper from burger packets you get at the grocery store. it was melted to the cheese so i assume that the chef saw it and still cooked and served my food. like i said, i have always loved this place but i am never eating from there again. read more

Beaufort doesn't have many good restaurants but this is a good place for burgers made the way you like them. Salads are big even the meatloaf is good. The food takes a little longer to reach your table but it's a good family restaurant with a huge bar area. Staff is great. read more

As we were so looking forward to taking my Mom inLaw to her childhood home of Beaufort, I reviewed several restaurants near our hotel and Bricks on Boundary showed up. Many people recommended as a great place the locals frequent and seemed to have a nice array of options on the menu. So after driving in horrible rain from Jacksonville to Beaufort we were hungry and wanted to experience so southern hospitality & cuisine of historic Beaufort's low country. As my husband parked I went in to check on getting a table for 3 and scout out a nice seat... well that where this experience went southward and not in a hospitable way! I entered the restaurant quickly glancing around that it was probably 1/3rd occupied so I quickly greeted the "hostess" and said "Hi' so glad to be here we would like a table for 3!". Which she promptly said "First of all... you can take a table, but NO ONE will be taking your order for over a half an hour! Or you can try to sit at the bar and you may get some food! But your food is probably going to take over an hour!" Need less to say I was flabbergasted at her rude disposition and said, "Seriously are you kidding me? This place isn't even full. And that's no way to speak to anyone, especially a customer?!?" She spouted of more rude blithering about that's the way it is and short staffed. To which I told her exactly what I thought of her lack of social graces and who was the manager? At which time she stormed away and a sheepishly girl standing by bar said we could maybe sit at bar and she was a manager but pretty much that's that! I was appalled at the lack of decorum for any place dealing with the public! Nevertheless I left and told my husband don't get even out of the car helped Mom inLaw back in the car and we went right around the corner to Lost Local and had a wonderful meal, service, and true Beaufort hospitality experience as we did for the rest of the weekend at many other fine local area establishments Saltus Riverfront and the Tarvern just off Hunting Island!! We had an excellent visit to this restaurant. Our waitress, I wish I could remember her name, was phenomenal. We had a a group of 6 and everyone was asking for different things and she brought each and every one of them. The food was good, or drinks were airways full. The fried pickles were amazing. This place is really hit or miss. Sometimes they are amazing and other times they are dreadful. Example: on Sept. 28th, 2019; ordered chicken fried steak to go and received next to no gravy on the entree. But, the amount of oil utilized to to fry the steak was gratuitous and overwhelming. I have had this meal at least 6 times and about 50% of time, it is spot on. Tried this place out per recommendation of a friend. 4 of us went on Saturday night around 8 pm and the place was busy. Requested to sit outside as they had a live band that was entirely too loud even sitting on the outside. We were seated in less than 10 minutes and had our first appetizer out quickly. We started with the ground sirloin nachos and they were your average nachos. Nothing to write home about and at the bottom was a watery mess from the pico they put on it. Then tried the garlic cheese bread and again average, nothing special. Also tried the beer battered mushrooms and pickles and it was heavy on the fried part and half was left uneaten. I tried the bbq and spicy Szechuan wings and was not impressed. The bbq sauce tasted like store bought sauce and was a thick coat all over the wings. The spicy Szechuan has barely any flavor and there was nothing spicy about it. I will say the table next to us ordered one of the steaks and were raving about it so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. In hindsight, I believe we maybe have ordered the wrong things looking at other reviews so if I'm ever back I'll take a shot at those. read more

Very disappointed.... we traveled from Charleston into Beaufort and decided to stop here with our dog. They have a huge area outside to sit and it's dog friendly. I noticed no one outside so I entered the dining area and went up to the bar. The barmaid came to me and I asked if we could sit outside as we had our dog with us. She said she would tell one of the servers to come out to us. Well... 45 minutes later still no one came out. So we just left. I don't hold this place in much regard if they can't have someone check the outside tables for patrons. The place wasn't busy. People were coming in and being served. Nothing outside. I had been to bricks once before and it was a great experience. Service was quick, friendly, and the food was great. However, the second time I went the hostess was beyond disrespectful. She scoffed in someone's face when they asked for a table. She's more focused on talking to her friends than doing her job. I'm never one to judge as I know restaurants are struggling with hiring employees. But in this regard, I was FLOORED. I was also not the only one who was treated with disrespect by this woman, as there is a group of people waiting outside in the heat for a table who were also discussing this woman's disrespectful behavior towards them. The place was decent enough inside but the shared one bathroom wasn't ideal for my wife since it was dirty from guys peeing all over everything. We ordered wings for an appetizer which showed up after the meal was served. The food itself was just okay. The service was a big miss. Get the same service at fast food. The hostess made me stop so she could go in front of me. It was rude! Whatever happened to the customer is right. That was when I made up the mind that place stinks.
