This is a great place for a lunch or dinner. Stopped here for lunch on a day trip to Beaufort. The service from Kristen at the bar was excellent. She is pleasant and very efficient. The food ordered was prepared properly and served hot although it took a little while. This is a very good place but is not a five star restaurant. Good atmosphere for a bar with patio seating. I highly recommend a stop here when visiting Beaufort. I'm sure the locals are very familiar with this place. read more

We waited 45 minutes to be seated and were told that is was because the kitchen was too busy with Door Dash orders. That was new since new ownership. Half of the tables were empty, including the outside tables. Too bad. It used to be one of our go to places. This is a great place for pub food. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was tremendous. We sat outside and the service was good. In the past I have sat inside. My wife had fried shrimp and she said it was good as well. Crispy with the right amount of breading. They follow careful safety protocols- masks and cleanliness. Omg after having an amazing dinner with Kimberly as our waitress. I realized after we got back to my daughters house that I left my wallet. I called them and CT said they were looking for it and took my number. We drive back to bricks and they hadn't located it so they offered to dig in the trash cans since they had just bussed our table. No luck it wasn't there. We walked into the Peking lot and CT was out there looking in the parking lot with a flash light. He found my wallet under another vehicle that had parked next to where we parked. I was a little leery since the website has Killian's listed as an imported beer, but we thought the menu looked interesting. There's a very good selection of craft beer on tap that isn't mentioned on the website, which was a nice surprise. The decor is pretty typical sports bar stuff, a lot of dark wood and multiple TVs. Noise level was good for conversation, but it was Sunday afternoon and wasn't very crowded. Service was prompt and pleasant at the bar. I had the crab/shrimp fritter sliders, which are not as weird as they might sound. I ordered Cole slaw, but my plate arrived with fries, which were pretty good. I enjoyed my meal. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich with mixed vegetables as her side. The bottom of her bun was incredibly soggy, to the point of falling apart. The contents of the sandwich were good, as were the veggies. We will probably go back if we're looking for a meal in Beaufort. read more

Bricks is one of our favorite places in Beaufort. We've been several times (more than 10) and have never been disappointed. We're steadily working our way through the menu. Chicken Fried Steak, Steak Tenderloin, Fried Oysters, Fish and Chips, Crab & Shrimp Cake sandwich, the Chef's Burger, Soups, Pecan Pie, Crack Fries -- they're all things we would recommend. A table next to us saw us having crack fries, so they ordered some as well and were raving about them. I think it's the truffle oil. Portions are very generous. Unless two of us split a dish, we often go home with leftovers. The prices are very reasonable as well, especially considering the amount of food you get. For instance, the pecan pie dessert. It comes with two full slices of pecan pie, a generous portion of ice cream, and whipped cream. It's clearly made for two people to share, but it's priced less than dessert for one at other restaurants. The chicken friend steak is similar and actually comes with two cutlets -- much more than I was expecting. One tip to keep in mind is that this is not a fast place to eat -- especially if you go during one of their peak times. They're popular, and they obviously take care and pride in cooking their food, so it takes more time than a quick in-and-out lunch spot. I suppose that could depend on what you order, but my advice is to go when you aren't rushed and have time to enjoy your meal, and the experience will be worth it. The staff are great. They're constantly busy as they also greet/seat people, bus tables, and do other prep work while still managing their main duties. We try to get Shannon as our server when we can. She's friendly, upbeat, funny, and an incredibly sweet person. She doesn't just serve us, she takes care of us. You may even feel like you get some extra Vitamin D from being in her sunny presence. We've recently gone for their music nights, and the band was really great. Maybe it varies depending on what band is playing, but we were able to still have a conversation while enjoying the music in the background. read more

Bricks was one of the first stop we made when we got into Beaufort for our week long vacation. At first we weren't sure about it but went in, sat down, and was greeted by Heather. She was a very helpful, knowledgeable, personable waitress! I loved her southern accent and charm! She made suggestions and was right on point with the shrimp and crab fritter sliders and shrimp lunch entree. We stopped here on our way home from the holiday visiting. It does have outdoor seating and it was a nice day, so that was perfect for us traveling with the dog. The service was extremely slow. I don't think it was slow because we were outside, because other people were getting served. The menu had a lot to choose from, so that took me a while to go through. I finally decided on the Greek Salad. It was absolutely beautiful! However, it was very difficult to eat. Just way too much stuff on one plate and no way to mix it all together. I was also disappointed that there wasn't much cheese on it. My husband got the Spicy Fried Flounder Sandwich and ordered Sweet Potato Fries. However, he was served regular fries. He didn't want to send them back because we had already been there so long. The Spicy Fried Flounder Sandwich wasn't very good. It was a little mushy. Actually, he only ate a few bites of it. Bricks is a great local stop. The environment is very social and boisterous most of the time. Great place to catch the game or listen to live music. They have a large, wrap around bar with plenty of TVs throughout. The food is pretty consistent and always tasty. They have a large menu so I've only tried a few things- their crack fries, wings, and salads are amazing. Too many items that I've had that were great to point out but I will say the menu is very creative, Bar food. Bricks also has a great selection of beers on tap- both seasonal and local. They also have a really good selection of flavored liquids and specialty drinks. Come to bricks with a group of friends, family, or a fun date night. They normally have live music which is rare in Beaufort, unfortunately. When it gets busy, service can be slow but it's always a great time! read more

The servings were plentiful and filling and left no room for dessert unfortunately. Our server was friendly and although busy with several tables she continuously checked on us. I've been going to Bricks for years, and their food is always good. Apparently they have changed management, and the service was terrible. I'm not one to complain about waiting a long time for food, but when others are being served that have arrived long after you have, is unacceptable. This is a problem in the kitchen. We finally got up to leave after 45 minutes of waiting for a small salad and chicken tenders when we were met with a HORRIBLE RESPONSE. When the bartender (our waitress by the way) saw us leaving she yelled at us across the restaurant and said, "your not waiting for your food"? When we said not when others are being served that came in after us, we were told, "I'm not the one cooking". NOT I'M SORRY, WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT RIGHT? Businesses are not going to make it with these kinds of unprofessional people who don't even know how to talk to their patrons. Another one BITES THE DUST FOR US IN BEAUFORT. We have always taken family here when they come into town. Today we went for an afternoon lunch and the food was cold. Noah our server was very nice. We complained about the cold food and the fact that our fries were delivered to the table well after our meal. All the manager could say is that she was training new staff and that there was nothing she could do for us as far as a discount on our meal. I truly will never go back and never will again take my family here. The service has decreased in inspiration to make patrons happy. I hope no one has to go through what we did for just a lunch and it was not busy at all. My rating for them has decreased to 1 out of 10 in the past year I have lived here. Usually have great food and service. Today the food was great, the service left something to be desired. We got our food for everyone in our party except one. There was no apology and no explanation as to the wait while everyone else finished eating until the last meal came out. In addition, there was no mention of apology and no effort to correct the mistake by acknowledgement or discount by the waitress. After we got the check, when we brought up the wait, someone offered us a discount as an apology. When the check came back, they had taken $0.94 off our bill. Less than 2% of the total check. I'm not sure if it was an insult or a joke but either way, it was not appreciated. Finally after waiting another 20 minutes, someone else cam out and said they had to call the manager and gave us 10% off our bill. Now I don't care about the late food or the discount, but the terrible service to provide no acknowledgement and offer a measly $0.94 as an apology is not my idea of customer service. Food is still really good but I'm willing to eat OK food with good customer service rather than great food with bad customer service. read more

My family just dined at Bricks on Boundary for lunch. The lunch was wonderful - one of the best ever. Everything is made to order and very fresh. I had fried flounder tacos which were amazing. The portions are very large, and the prices, reasonable. I think everyone I saw, left with packed up leftovers. The sweet potato fries were excellent. My son and husband really enjoyed the fried shrimp with buffalo sauce and blue cheese. If you go around noon, expect a bit of a wait, as they're packed. This is not surprising, because the food is delicious and is made to order. Our waitress, Sam, was very friendly and efficient. Sam epitomizes Southern hospitality.
