We waited 55 minutes for our food, lost appetite , no compensation !

This is my second time ever eating here and both times I have been impressed. Love the atmosphere, the quality and taste of the food, and the wonderful staff. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and ask for TRAVIS! He served us on only his THIRD night and he was a TOTAL PRO!!! My husband and I will continue to visit Bricks whenever we come to visit Beaufort! Also, I recommend the Zorba Greek burger... absolutely delicious! read more

First time at the Bricks and we loved it. Wonderful bar atmosphere but not too loud. The fried shrimp was absolutely delicious and fresh. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken had excellent flavor. First and foremost let me say that the actual waitstaff is very polite and kind so that's why i believe this place deserves atleast one star. But we went and spent TWO HOURS on a very slow day here just trying to eat lunch. My husband had a burger which was good and mac and cheese. I had ribs that were extremely tough but we have been here so long i sucked it up. I had also ordered a sangria which was delicious but took FIFTEEN minutes and again there were MAYBE two other tables and plenty of staff. The food and service was great ! I got the nachos plus pulled pork and they were very spicy but delicious ! It's pretty dark in there which was kind of weird but we had a good experience and will be back for some live music and entertainment, they also advertise good drink deals although we did not drink when we went. read more

Food is really good, never been disappointed with taste. Service is okay, usually a little slow but I think they try to operate with a few people short of a full staff which means you may have to wait for a refill or to put your order in. Sometimes they have live music. We go on nights when we want some good American faire, nothing special. read more

Food is best in Beaufort. (SUPER good and portions are MASSIVE) Prices are moderate. Service is VERY friendly, but PAINFULLY SLOW every time I go, and I've been a half dozen times on various days and times, otherwise this place would easily get 4 or maybe even 5 stars from me. read more

Identity crisis. I thought it was going to be a hipster pub. Then it was a little more local than that. Food looked good with large portions, but missed the mark. Hubby has the crab corn dogs and while good said he wouldn't order it again. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich and it had a "ham gravy" on it slathered and the combination missed the mark. A great attempt, but just not executed well. It was drowned in the gravy and lost any flavor of the ingredients. The blue cheese beans slaw was slaw with blue cheese and the beans on top. We have been to bricks on boundary before, and have had a great time. This time, however, was different. They brought us a burger that we did not order. When we told them about it, they still charged us for it. My daughter ordered a special salad, which came with steak. However, when the waitress brought it, there was no steak. When my teenager asked her about it, The waitress argued with her about it. They brought us a drink that we did not order, and charged us for it. When we tried to bring this up in a diplomatic way, it was not rectified. Service was abysmal. She was slow, she was unapologetic and bordered on rude. Whereas we had a wonderful prior experience, we will think twice about returning. read more

I enjoy this place.. the food is yummy and portions are solid.. I like the option of indoor and outdoor seating. Food seems to be fresh and staff is always nice. I am not fond of the mixed drinks tho, seem to stiff you on liquor. One time I got a rail liquor which tasted completely off, asked for the name brand, they didn't have it so I just didn't drink that night. Ordered maybe the same drink on another visit and just drank one before the sourness gave me a stomach ache (amaretto sour.very simple drink.equal parts) I had white chicken chili before and I literally wanted to lick the bowl. Burgers are huge. Crack fries are exactly that, addicting lol... I moved from BFT but I come home often to visit family and this is one of our go to spot. Went in for an early dinner on Tuesday March 17 to beat the crowds and get in and out. You would think that would be possible for a party of one at that hour. I was seated within a few minutes but then they had to go find my server. It took her two attempts and almost 15 minutes to bring me a glass of wine. The salad had been gone for a while by the time the entree came out, and I was half done before she came back to check on me. I asked for a box and my check so I could get the hell out of there. We have always enjoyed Bricks. This time was not great. My BLT had one slice of bacon and half a head of lettuce. My fries were cold but the waitress never came to ask how things were. She dropped our check before asking if we wanted anything else and I had to ask for a refill. read more

Had lunch here today. It was delightful. Had pulled pork sliders with the onion rings and coleslaw made with blue cheese I and lima beans of all things. For dessert I had delicious bread pudding which was served as slices covered with a caramel sauce and scoops of ice cream I have never had it that way before and it was very very good. The prices were moderate the service was good and the place looks really clean and was friendly. I would definitely recommend that others try it and I will certainly go in there again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Since I have a condo on Harbor Island, I go to Beaufort many times a year and I try to eat and shop at locally owned businesses. Because Bricks is just down the road from one of my favorite stores, it's a perfect place to go for a drink and an appetizer. The first time I went to Bricks, my brother-in-law met my sister and I there after we went shopping. We sat at the bar, munched on some hot wings, and had a couple of drinks. About half way through our hot wings, a cockroach ran down the length of the bar. Ack! I know the difference between a Palmetto Bug - which will always find a way into your house, no matter how clean you are - and cockroaches - which are present because something isn't clean. This was a German cockroach. We brought the roach to the bartender's attention and he shrugged it off. Needless to say, our appetite was gone, so we paid the bill and left. And, no, thank you, we didn't want the leftover wings to go. The second (and final) time I went, it was again with my brother-in-law and sister. We decided to give Bricks one more chance. The place was busy, but we were seated quickly and our server took our drinks order and delivered them rather quickly. We had no issues with the service at all. Our food came out reasonably quickly also. I was really enjoying their Crack Fries when my brother-in-law told me not to move. Just over my right shoulder, on the back of the bench, sat - yup, you guessed it - a cockroach. It had skittered over the top of the bench and stopped right by my ear. I HATE cockroaches. We called the server over, and she brushed it off with her towel. Again, we lost our appetite. So, we asked the server for the check, paid for what we had already consumed, and left. My experiences with the food and service were great. But I will never go back. I don't like sharing my food with cockroaches. read more

Went on a Sunday around 4pm and it wasn't busy at all. Our server was Mitchell, he was very attentive and helpful. He was polite and our drinks stayed full. We went to bricks back in 2013 and had an awful experience, glad that we gave them another chance because the food and customer service was amazing. I would also like to add that the chicken tenders on the kids menu are amazing!!! Definitely will be going back, the menu had so many items that I would like to try. read more

This place was a hot mess. First of all we were sat and didn't have a server come over for 12 mins. Restaurant was semi busy, however not packed. We were then informed they were out of lemons, Ok no big deal. We order, they were out of Sweet potato fries, pita bread, slider buns And two other things but I can't remember. We had two kids mac n cheese, Greek salad no meat, 12 wings and a medium cheese burger it took us over an 1 hour to get our food. We get our food the kids veggies are wrong, Greek salad has blue cheese and spoiled tomatoes, wings are missing dresses carrots and celery. I then ask for the taziki sauce which comes with my salad and it has some random mushroom in it :/. The server really never comes and checks on us, when she does and we bring stuff to her attention she just kinda says how people have been complaining all weekend. We ordered dessert which took another half hour to get. We were stuck here for over 2 and a half hours. The food sucked and the service sucked even more. I don't know how they are in business. Another table orders margaritas and it took 36 mins for them to receive them. Needless to say I will not be returning and would not suggest anyone every go there. Save your money. read more

This place wasn't bad, but not great either. We were greeted and seated right away and our drink order was taken. The table who sat down next to us was seated right after us. We had the same waitress and she proceeded to take their order first. It took her another 8 minutes to return to take our order. That same table meanwhile received their food and ate their entire meal before our meal even arrived. It had taken so long we were contemplating paying for our tea and leaving. It finally arrived... The burrito with shrimp had ONLY 3 shrimp. Sorry,but if you order a shrimp burrito, there should be shrimp in almost every bite or maybe even every other bite. The entire thing was mostly peppers, onions, and cheese. The melted cheese was starting to congeal which about made me lose my lunch. I managed to pick through the burrito to only find 2 pieces (not even whole) of shrimp. The tea was good and the sweet potato fries were the best part of the meal. My husband's shrimp and crab cake burger was just okay he said, favoring the sweet potato fries as well. I won't go out of my way to return, and would probably suggest something else if I were invited to come here. read more

Food was good, but don't go there if you're in a hurry. It took 10 mins after we were seated for drinks, 25 mins for an appetizer, 1 hour for food and no refills on our drinks. We would have asked the waiter, but we only saw him for our order and for the bill (he didn't bring us our food, someone else did). The place wasn't really busy either to justify the poor service. Overall, the food didn't offset the poor service and next time I'll head out to the plenty of restaurants nearby that have good food AND service. read more

My personal favorite Beaufort eatery! The atmosphere and quality are impressive, and it's difficult to leave without leftovers because of their legendary portion size. Craft beer selection and other adult beverages are impressive also. Wednesday night music is also a highlight. Outdoor eating is comfortable and a great option most nights. DO NOT EAT HERE! Went to Bricks (aka Sicks) for lunch, we had horrible food and terrible service. I still have a bad taste in my mouth, feel sick and ripped off! The salad I got (buffalo blue cheese) was inedible - it was soooooo salty! I took a few bites to tried to figure out the cause and it seemed to be the chicken (which was only a few pieces and mostly greasy breading), so i picked some pieces out and put it on another plate but the salad was still really salty! My husband tried a piece and called the server over and we nicely told him it was too salty and we did not want it. Can you believe he came back and said he can only give us an 80% discount on the salad!!!!! They would not even take the full amount off the bill because some chicken was missing! I pointed to the plates that the pieces of chicken were on and said are you serious? Just bad management!!!! In addition to the salt lick salad, my husbands egg burger was a greasy mess, my sons chicken fingers were another greasy salty mess!!! We are all going home to brush our teeth and try to get this awful memory out of our minds!!! read more

Ok the food here is good. Their nachos are one of the best in town. The loft over meatloaf sandwich is very sweet so watch out because I wasn't expecting that. Egg burger is legit but their sliders suck. You can also eat outside if you don't want to stay in the super cold/dark restaurant. The thing that keeps this bar from becoming a great bar is that the service is so slow, and I mean you will be waiting at least 40 minutes for your food no matter how many people are there. If it's packed then your best bet is eating at the bar because it's a little faster some how... There were times where I walked out of their with my group because we waited over an hour for our appetizers. read more

Always lively, easy parking. I have only sat the bar, but am served promptly with food and drinks. Specials every night (kids eat free on Mondays, $2 beers on Tuesdays, etc.) Outside patio area nice, but usually filled with smokers. Love the Quesadilla Roll and the Crab & Shrimp Fritter Sliders - very creative! Trivia is free and fun on Thursdays. Sports games on TV around the bar. One side is very young and boisterous, the other a little more family style (booths). Large portions all around. read more
