Wonderful experience @ Bricks! Stopped on our way headed home by suggestion of locals. The salad was so fresh and the blackened shrimp were cooked perfectly. Restaurant was super clean and a great atmosphere. We had the BEST server, Kelsey! She was helpful with suggestions and always had a smile on her face. She refilled drinks before we had to ask as well as bringing us the check quickly as she knew we were getting on the road. She kindly took a family picture of us and was the sweetest! Totally unexpected awesome meal from a random stop at lunch on a Friday. 4.5 stars. I went with the Last Nights Meatloaf Sandwich. Just excellent. I am not sure what gravy they use, but the sweet combined with the onions is excellent. The juices flowed down to the bread and made it tastalious. My wife went with a fried fish sandwich, it was huge, like a foot long. Great flavor! Fries are totally excellent, served fresh and super crispy..... Came with a spicy chipotle sauce that was great. Excellent food and service. I got the max and cheese with the blackened chicken. So good but it was probably enough for 3 people! The cheese garlic bread that came with it was excellent. My husband got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was also very good. We both got "side" salads and they were so huge I didn't want to eat it all so I could eat the rest of my food. But I love a place with good sized portions. You feel like you're getting your moneys worth. Kim was our server and she was excellent. We were the first in the restaurant when they opened. The service was bad and our food was cold. I am a very good tipper when I see ambition in people. These young kids need to learn how to earn that 20 to 25 percent plus of my bill, not just because they took my order. What a friendly and relaxing place to grab a meal any time of the day! They follow careful safety protocols- masks and cleanliness. The staff are super friendly and responsive. We arrived ravenous after a day of hiking at Hunting Island State Park. It's wonderful when you can get a delicious meal at an odd time of day - 3:30pm. I got the big, juicy fried chicken sandwich and "crack" fries. These were huge waffle cut potatoes with cracked pepper and Parmesan cheese. So addictive! My husband got the fried fish sandwich with the lima bean coleslaw. The slaw was a fun surprise with the fresh lima beans - we both loved it. Brooklyn was a great waitress she deserves a $10 raise, she was great. She took care of that whole building by herself none of the other employees could keep up! Aside from her amazing service there was great food, I got the mac daddy with blackened chicken and it was the best thing I've had all year. Food was top notch, especially if you wanna try or enjoy southern food with a twist. From the kids meal to the appetizer such as, the Bricks Bomb Nachos were deliciously great. The chipotle sauce and jalapeños with grilled and caramelizad sweet onions with the chargrilled chicken made a perfect balance but, just look out for that heat coming from them crisp jalapeños-- they were HOT!! The southern grub such as, fried steak, burgers, tacos and grilled chicken tenders were filling to say the least and on point. Dessert was also delicious!! They're drinks were the tip of the iceberg!! Everything from beer and specialty drinks with top shelf spirits! Definitely a place to come with the fam celebrating a Marine graduation and to enjoy some trivia (on a Thursday night). Ask for "Kim" she was awesome!!!! I was going to amend my previous post but this one deals with service only so I will keep it separate. I went back to Bricks yesterday with my bride with the intent of watch the Clemson game. To our surprise there were 5 people In The entire bar. I asked the bar tender if he would put on the Clemson football game. Making a long story short he made a very slight attempt to find the game while telling us that the service the bar has does not carry ESPN. This man needs to find a new line of work or at least not be scheduled to work on game day. Now I understand why the place was empty on a game day afternoon. The more I visit this place the less I like it. We went too Rosie O'Gradies spent our money, enjoyed the game with other fans and made some new friends. read more

We love Bricks. Menu gives you lots of choices. The food is consistently excellent- try the Brick Yard Burgert or the Shrimp! Can't be beat. Service is excellent. Great patio and servers are fun and quick! I showed up on trivia night (by accident) with 2 teens. We wanted to sit outside, but the traffic on the road in front was kind of heavy, causing it to drown out the music, so we went inside & grabbed the 1st booth just inside the door. They weren't too busy and our server waited on us right away. This is definitely a casual sort of place, so dress comfortably. We ordered the chipotle bacon cheese burger and 10 piece fried shrimp meal. I asked for a Guiness in a room temperature glass (it's just how I prefer to drink Guiness). When it arrived, it felt very cold, so I asked our server about it. She excused herself & the bartender came over & explained that the beer on tap is ice cold, so the beer in the glass will be cold. They were apologetic and offered to make it better - I felt how much they cared about customer satisfaction and thanked them for the offer, but I understood why it was cold & told them it was fine. How special they are to care so much! Our food was served quickly and hot and was fantastic & the atmosphere was fun. We loved the trivia fun and joined in on it from our booth (safe out of range of the real players, lol). I will definitely be returning. read more

We attempted to flag him down - even yelling "sir" across the room - and he purposely ignored us. Finally got the manager to take payment as we had finished 1/2 hour prior and needed to leave. Food: Fried flounder was soggy & greasy. Shrimp was good. Fries were ok - frozen & plain. "Local, fresh sautéed veggies" were a frozen mix (broccoli was cold inside. Bricks had absolutely the best fried shrimp in Beaufort...maybe even in the southeast! The shrimp are local, and the chef knows how to fry them correctly! The atmosphere is casual, sports bar like...lots of tvs. Seating is comfortable. They also have outdoor seating for the nice weather we're having right now. read more
