I've missed suburban food prices. Brickstone is a nice option when you are this far out from the city. This place is huge and will more than likely have a seat from you at all times of the day/night. Sometimes, it's just nice to buy a 25oz 6-buck beer. Also, I ordered saganaki (which isn't as great as what you can get in GreekTown, but still sufficient) and the rib eye steak (which I also ordered French onion soup, mixed veggies, and a loaded baked potato as my sides). I will say that the steak was cooked nice, (medium rare, but leaning a bit towards the rare side), but all of the food ended up being really really salty. I wish the salt could have been taken down just a tad because the food is decent enough quality where it shouldn't need to be oversalted. Service was ok. It was a bit slow, but not to the point of it being bothersome. It was a decent average suburban pub experience and I can't hate on that. Appreciated my ginormous steak and my cheap and tasty beer. read more

I used to deliver beverages there for years. I never saw a clean kitchen and most times is was downright filthy. I NEVER eat there.

I just moved into the area and have had BrickStone beer out and about at festivals and all that and was excited to see it so close. I've been here three times and I foresee making this place a regular visit for me. The food is great. The beer is fantastic. The service is attentive. My only one, very minor complaint is the beer selection for taking away. I want to show people who visit my house what Bourbonnais has to offer and would love to have a fridge stocked with Brickstone beer, even if its in growlers, but alas they do not offer that and the can selection is minimal. read more

What has changed with veggie wrap? We have purchased in past and they were great. Purchased one today to take home. When we opened carton the bottom of wrap was drenched with some kind of oil. Years ago they were not like this. read more

If I only had to review the candied bacon, this would be a five star review, but, alas, there are many parts to a five star... The easy parts: plenty of parking, full bar and clean bathrooms! The more difficult parts: Appetizers- we tried (besides the to-die-for candied bacon) the Saganaki (flaming cheese) presented perfectly and a beautifully baked loaf of bread to spread the cheese on the side. We also had the pretzel sticks with cheese and/or ground mustard. Both were wonderful and I would happily try them again, as would my friends! Main course- Cheeseburger- one of my friends tried this and she really enjoyed it. She ordered it well done, otherwise I would've tried it and rated it myself...but I'm a raw meat kind of girl! The prime rib sandwich with cheese and horseradish spread. This was pretty disappointing. The meat was dry, the pretzel bun tasted microwaved and rubbery, and the whole thing was dry. Sigh. The Asian chicken salad was really good and although the same type you get in alot of restaurants, it was fresh and large. Dessert- First, I must say that we were told by our server that the Salted Caramel Torte was the best dessert on the menu. Well, we had been trying to decide between that and the Piña Colada bread pudding, so we ordered both, along with the chocolate cake. The torte was made with all the right ingredients...then, it tasted like they added gelatin. Lots of gelatin. It was like a Knox blox in your mouth. It HAD to have been a mistake. That's all. The bread pudding was good, with a vanilla sauce that made it creamy and moist. But...still not our favorite. The triple layer chocolate cake was the best dessert at the table! All chocolate layers, chocolate filling, chocolate frosting & chocolate chips. What else do you need? :-D Would I come back? Absolutely!!! We enjoy this restaurant but last time we went they significantly decreased the size of their menu. Coming off of the pandemic I completely understand why their decision was probably made but they definitely removed a few favorites. I'm hoping to see some of them pop back up in the future! Especially the fried green tomatoes! On a sidenote. We ordered the spinach dip and while it was delicious we certainly did not get enough pita bread slices for the amount of dip. My family and I come here when our daughter has a state gymnastics meet and every time we have come it is pretty solid! The service is excellent (I would love to give 4.5 stars), and the food is good depending what you get. I do have the say the kids meals are not the best, but they are the perfect price of 5.99 which is awesome. I ordered the fish sandwich which was HUGE, and the fries were delicious. I suggest ordering sliced pickles on the side. My husband ordered the meatloaf sandwich, and he said it was very good. My mom and brother ordered a burger and the fish and chips and both were pretty solid. The food is definitely consistent every time we come. They have a great selection of beverages (wine, beer, cocktails and of course NA drinks). If you are in the area I would check them out! read more

Server was excellent and very friendly. The food was good but very ordinary, like in upscale Chilis. The beer was good, I had the blonde. Ambiance was great. TV's placed around the restaurant nicely. We were there during March Madness and you could watch a game on a tv in the distance but still be present for your family. I would go again. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The only down side was the bbq sauce on the meatloaf. Calamari was good but definitely frozen before. Don't want to knock this place, we liked it, just don't expect anything amazing. read more

My boyfriend and I are visiting from Michigan and decided to give this place a go! Brewery hopping is one of our primary hobbies, so we're fairly tough critics. This place was pleasant, clean, and had an impressively large menu with a lot of different options. As for beer, we both got the Hop Skip, a double IPA, and it was very flavorful and drinkable. For other midwesterners, think Bell's Two Hearted but with less of a bitter bite from the hops. It was served in a pint glass, which I was grateful for -- nothing makes me sadder than paying $7 for a beer and having it come to me in a tulip. We started with the candied bacon as an appetizer and it was great! A perfect balance of salty and sweet. I could've kept eating it all night. There was also complementary bread and butter, which was soft and tasted fresh. For entrees, he got the Blues burger and I got the shrimp and grits. His burger came out as a perfect medium, and they have fantastic battered french fries. My shrimp and grits was fine but very, very watery. The flavor was good, but it had a kind of off-putting appearance and everything was floating in this very thin, greasy soup. The grits ended up getting kind of waterlogged because they were sitting in the bottom of all that wetness. I prefer my shrimp and grits with a thicker sauce, but again, the flavor was good. It also came with a house salad, which was just some huge pieces of iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of chopped tomato, two cucumber slices, and a couple thin red onion rings. It was fine but I expected a little bit more. Overall, this place was pretty good but didn't quite exceed my expectations. The service was friendly and fast and the beer was good, but I would recommend sticking to the "bar food" options like burgers and sandwiches. They still have yet to perfect their fancier entrees, and the prices are a little high for the quality of food you receive. read more

Had to drive downstate from O'Hare, and I was hungry. I found BrickStone on Yelp, and they definitely live up to the 4 stars. BrickStone has a vast beer menu and delicious food. After entering you through one part of the dining area, with a mix of lower and high top tables, to get to the actual bar. The bar has around 10 barstools with curved back support and padded seats. The bar top is a medium wood with a large rail to rest your forearms. The back bar looks excellent with views into the brewery, bottle shelves, taps, and lots of HDTVs. In addition to the great food and beer, the bar's service was incredible...my beer was never empty for more than a minute. Only five minutes from I-57, BrickStone is definitely worth a stop if you're thirsty or hungry. read more

Beer was good. Ordered the pretzel appetizer and the pretzels were cold. Both the mustard and queso dipping sauces were good. The menu had lots of choices, but I only wanted an appetizer on my visit. I sat in the outside patio area. I found it strange they had 3 different servers covering the tables when only 3-4 tables were occupied. Staff were wearing masks but I couldn't tell if they were wiping tables down well. They are also seating large parties now as the table next to me looked liked it had about 10 people. read more

Went here for dinner last night and it was very good! They seated us right away. We got a flight of five different beers for $9. They accidentally poured a different beer than we ordered in one, before even bringing it to us they corrected their own mistake and gave us the extra one. The service was great! The waitress was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. We got the pretzel sticks for an appetizer and they were great! Huge portions and the dipping sauces were tasty! My dad got the Bleus burger and said it was delicious. I got the creole tilapia and it was very good! The bed of cajun rice that the tilapia was on was very flavorful and the sauce had lots of shrimp in it. I just wish the menu would have said that it was topped with onion and tomato. Came here for a date night with my boyfriend on a Saturday. The bar was full so we sat at a table and ordered a beer. I had the light lager which was really tasty. We ordered our food shortly after and were surprised, though a little putt-off at how quickly it came out. If you are looking for a relaxing chat with some time before your meal arrives, think again. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes. We barely had a sip of our first beer. While this might entice some, it seemed like we were being rushed and on a date night, no one wants to feel that way. They ran out of the light lager by the 3rd beer and at that point I was already annoyed at our super mediocre service. The waitress ended her shift and the next waitress came on shortly after we ate, and although she was a bit better, the service still was lackluster. Mediocre food, mediocre service. What a great place to eat! We had the Beer Ale Mac & Cheese and the Tuscan Chicken Pasta. The portions were large and we both took some home. The mac & cheese was good, we couldn't really taste the ale, but it was creamy, cheesy and thre perfect choice on a cold, snowy night. The grilled chicken in the Tuscan Chicken Pasta was delicious. It was juicy and tender. We liked the sauce, but wished there was more spinach in the dish. It seemed like it was added at the end as an afterthought. I enjoyed this place from the moment we walked in. They had flaming saganaki which I had been wanting for years but where I live now no restaurants have that. I had a cherry bomb beer which was delicious could have drank many of these. I had a Tomato Vodka Rigatoni that was really good. Was a little loud but it was a fun place. Everyone of the staff members was very attentive and wonderful. I would definitely return here and recommend it to everyone. read more
