These 2 photos were from yesterday's visit. We have been to Bricktop's in downtown Greenville several times now since a friend recommended it to us a few months ago. The staff here have been very professional. Steve B. Is our favorite server and he has provided amazing service to us. I find here that there are certain entrees that are better than others and we have been learning what to order and stick with. We love the ambiance and the music selection in the background, and the elbow room as well. What we love on the menu so far is the ribs, hemingway, prime rib, chicken milanese, wedge salad and the deviled eggs. I think any of these are a safe bet for an enjoyable dinner. This place was absolutely phenomenal! They are intentional with everything they do, and pride themselves on offering excellent service. I was thoroughly impressed with everything. My beautiful wife of 37 years and I went to Bricktop's for our anniversary. We both ordered the Hemingway Filet Mignon in Cognac sauce. The steak was absolutely the best filet I have ever had in my life. It seemed to just melt in my mouth. It was so tender that you could cut it with a fork. We visited the new Bricktop's Restaurant in Greenville for Father's Day weekend, and it was an excellent choice! The food was simply delicious--we ordered the Atlantic Salmon, Grilled Trout, and Bistro Chicken, all paired with Creamy Whipped Potatoes and their warm, fluffy dinner rolls. Everything was served hot and full of flavor. The highlight? The warm bread pudding... absolutely scrumptious! The only downside to our visit was the service. Our server, Britton, wasn't very welcoming, especially since it was our first time dining at Bricktop's. With some training--like asking guests if it's their first visit or being more familiar with the menu--I believe the service experience could be much better. That said, the restaurant's ambience is beautiful, and we definitely plan to return. Great food, great atmosphere--we just hope for a warmer welcome next time! read more

My friend from out of town and I went for lunch the other day and got to sit on the patio and it was such a gorgeous day and there was a little breeze and could watch all the people going by. Our servers were excellent and the food was delicious. We shared the deviled eggs and maple bacon. I had the salmon with corn soufflé and she had the crabcake with fresh veggies. Everything tasted amazing and then we got and split bread pudding. It could not have been more perfect lunch. read more

Love the setup of Bricktop's. Passed by while walking downtown and stopped back by before leaving Greenville. Stopped in, sat at the bar, and had a couple of drinks. The bartenders were great with answering our questions and open to creating off menu drinks. We ate breakfast before going there but took note of the dishes that passed as we sat at the bar. We are in Greenville for five days visiting friends and spent our second night having dinner at Brick Top's.  The ambiance and service were excellent and made for a very enjoyable evening.  The décor in the restaurant allows for conversations to be held without shouting. There were four of us at the table. Our meal began with two appetizers, Deviled Eggs & Millionaire's Bacon ($14) and the Shanghai Shrimp ($14).  We also had a Butter Crab roll ($20) off their sushi roll menu.  There deviled eggs and bacon were my favorite.  Perfectly creamy and savory, the eggs were complimented by the bacon which was covered with melted brown sugar, cayenne pepper and maple syrup.  If you like "Bang Bang" shrimp in many restaurants you will like the Shanghai Shrimp here. We went with a Duckhorn "Decoy" Cabernet Sauvignon ($62), from Sonoma.  You get a strong berry scent at first with a more subtle vanilla smell later.  As per the tasting notes, you should get allspice and chocolate flavors after you have tasted the wine. For the main course, both wives opted to go light and had the Tuna Tartare ($16) appetizer which was presented as a mini tower with layers of avocado, mango, pine nuts and wontons in addition to the tuna.  They both enjoyed the mixture of flavors, and the tuna was sushi grade. My friend went the comfort route and tried one of Brick Top's most popular dishes, the Prime Meatloaf ($28).  The portion was generous and is usually served with a side of stir-fried vegetables. He opted to sub in their Creamy Whipped Potatoes, which were soft and velvety. I chose the Chicken Milanese ($28).  The serving like the meatloaf was generous, about 6-8 ounces pounded very thinly, parmesan crusted and served with capers and a champagne beurre blanc.  I also subbed out the usual side of fettuccine alfredo for their Twice Baked Potato. The chef at Brick Top's team in the kitchen is executing the meals at a very high level with perfect sauces and subtleties of each flavor to shine through. We finished the meal by trying their carrot cake.  You can pass on this one.   It was small, and served warm.  Not my favorite version. With that said we decided to order espressos with a side shot of Anisette for each person.  Pour half in the espresso. Then do a cheers with the other half, and slowly enjoy your coffee. read more

The food was good. I enjoyed my chicken piccata and would return just for that. The service left something to be desired. We have been here a couple of times. Once when they just opened. The service then had some kinks but better than our last visit. We made reservations for an early dinner when we were seated, we waited 30 min. I had to get up to speak to the hostess and tell her that we have been waiting for a server. Finally the server greeted us. We ordered drinks but unfortunately the cocktails were made incorrectly. It's fine but it took another 30-45 min to have it corrected. I understand if it's a busy night but we came right as they opened because we had tickets to the show at the peace center. Disappointed!!!! Called to get seating for 12 people and was told they could only take reservations for 10people. I asked if we could make a reservation for 10people and then add two more when we got there. I was told two people would be sat on the other side of the restaurant. Ummmm okay! Disappointed because my husband and I go here all the time. I was excited to share it with my girlfriend for my birthday. The ambiance is nice and hotel-like with safari inspired large format pictures and other fun complements and if everything else followed suit it would be a complete win...but let me save you a $15 martini and an underwhelming meal... I'll start with service...while our server was nice and not rude she was difficult to find and when asked the difference between salmon dishes she said they're basically the same. One is pan seared and the other is cedar plank salmon. I picked one and the whole thing was poorly seasoned and reminded me of the hospital salmon I devoured after my last baby was born. The vegetables were anemic, the salmon over cooked and unseasoned and the rice was nothing you'll remember. I could've cleaned a wound with the martini it was so strong so the bartender was living on the generous side!! The shrimp dish is overpriced bang bang shrimp. Sadly we will not be back. We try to stay away from chain restaurants for the most part but Bonefish makes this restaurant look like a school lunch cafeteria. Such a bummer. read more

Stopped by while we were downtown and so glad we did! The service is fantastic and food is great. We sat at the bar the bartender was attentive and very friendly. Our food came out perfect and our drinks were delicious. We started with a couple margs, sounded delicious for the hot day, and they were perfect. I had a glass of Sancerre with my Wedge Salad, both were excellent! My partner had the French dip and it did not last long. Stumbled upon this place after we saw that Windy City Burgers was closed. Right upon entering we noticed how elegant and fancy the whole restaurant was. The service was exquisite - the wait staff was all very professional and had high attention to detail. Oldies on the speakers, candle light on the table, nice decor on the wall and the lighting was dim and cozy. Since I originally had my heart set on a burger, I tried their Tavern Burger and it is probably one of my favorite burgers I've had in Greenville so far. They actually season their meat. I added bacon and it complemented the grilled onions nicely. It was well seasoned, juicy, and their secret sauce was to die for. The burger and fries was 20$. I was seated in a spot where I could see all the food come out of the kitchen and everything that came out looked remarkably delicious. Stopped by recently for lunch. Got a curved both with a view of the entire dining room. Megan, our server was even more amazing than the food. Loved the friendly banter and the excellent service. The dining room is elegant, white table cloths, patterned carpet, lovely lanterns and interesting art. For beverages, we opted for an IPA and a Prickly Pear Margarita. Both were perfectly chilled. Got Meatloaf with brussels sprouts and a Cobb Salad. Both were super yummy. They like to stack 'em high. Order either of these dishes and you will see what I mean. This was an unexpected surprise of an amazing dining experience! Service was off the hook! Food was delicious. Walked in on a Friday with no reservations. Had about a 25 minute wait. But totally worth it!! We had the calamari, steak and fries, trout dinner, Brussels, twice baked potato and key lime pie. EVERYTHING was perfect!! So flavorful. I can tell they use high quality ingredients, usually I leave restaurants with a belly ache from seed oils and other factors. This was TOP notch! I visit Greenville at least twice a year to see family. This September, I visited Bricktop's and wound up dining there 2 days in a row. Day 1 I had the Beef Wellington which was to die for. On day 2 I had their Ribeye which was succulent and so well prepared. On both occasions, I had a couple of glasses of their Oregon Pinot Noir which was such a great compliment with their beef.
