First time to eat here. Went in around 5pm on a weekday. I was waiting on a friend and his kids to arrive. I was seated to the left of the hostess stand and I guess someone forgot about me. I waited for 10 minutes then got up and asked the hostess if I needed to order a drink from the bar. She promptly sent someone. Maybe it was change of shift or something. Rest of the visit was smooth sailing.... service was good, the food looked ok-good. There were an array of orders: my friend got the cheeseburger with blue cheese; kids got a pizza and salad. Went here on a Sunday night about 6 pm, it seemed like this was the only busy place on street. Hostess put us on a short wait due to the fact there were no menus available. They were super apologetic about that. Bricktown Brewery is just okay. Don't expect to have an in-depth or even a basic conversation about the beer served here. I asked about their house red ale and wheat, and I was told by the server that she's only 19 and didn't know. Okay, that's fine, you're legal to serve alcohol but not to drink it, but you need to know something more about a beer than saying, "This one is really popular." Service to receive the two draft beers took too long. Service to receive the two waters to make up for the beers taking too long took to long. Notice a pattern? Had to remind to remind our server, B., about our waters. Food took awhile as well but was expected at this point. All in all, the beer was good. I had the Red Griffon Ale. Husband had the Single String Stout. Music is really awesome. Food was good as well. Husband had chicken tenders, which he said were better than most and seemed fancy when paired with spicy ranch. He also got black eyed peas which had surprisingly great flavor but was somewhat watery. I had the Siracha BBQ chicken sandwich which was very good. The BBQ sauce they make pairs wonderful with the grilled chicken. The French fries were disappointing. Bricktown boasts that they have these special black peppered fries but what I and my husband got were regular golden brown fries. There was a small issue when we got the food, due to the food runner mistaking my chicken sandwich for a hamburger. The table behind us did not receive a hamburger for one of their teens, so I was concerned that I had gotten their hamburger by mistake. Food runner apologized but told me I got the right meal just with the wrong name, that she doesn't look at the food just takes it to the table. Really? I just ignored it and ate my chicken sandwich. So if I lived here, I would probably comeback when someone else wanted to come here, but I wouldn't come back until this place got their act together. Decent food for the price. Awesome sweet potatoe fries appetizer. We had a good time listening to the band, but because there were no lights, it threw off the whole vibe. Right now the outdoor stage just has a pop-up canopy which is good in the daytime, but at night, some stringed lights would do wonders for the atmosphere. We told the manager about the lights and she said, "We have a couple stage lights the bands can request." My question is, why do they have to request lights? It gets dark at night. Most bands are happy just to be playing somewhere. We were walking around last night and i noticed downtown is really losing a lot of foot traffic. Most of the places we passed were completely empty and looked like they could use an update to there interior (excluding the brewery, which is an upscale style pub.) The business owners need to go out, have a dining experience and remember what it's like to be a customer. They need to think about what they want in a night out and bring it back to their restaurant or bar. I know I'm just a consumer and I'm not there everday grinding it out. I used to work in restaurants when I was in college, therefore I know how hard it is just to get a place functioning properly. Once the shine wears off of the "new" spot, you have to do something to grab people's attention. Find out what the new trends are and incorporate in order to flourish. Pay attention to the details and really listen to your customers. It's not easy, but a good restaurant with consistent, returning business is a gold mine. read more

Came in on a business trip and was hoping to score a seat at the bar to watch the NCAA National Football game. Drinks were great, not overpriced and serving size was ample. I always order a tall drink and am happy when it's an actual 'tall drink'. For dinner I ordered the chicken tender salad. One of the best I have had in a very long time. Had a lovely dinner here with my colleagues. My pizza was great! I didn't catch our waiters name but my review goes out to him for being so kind and helpful while serving us. One of my colleagues from South Africa was a bit confused on what the difference was between fries, sweet potato fries, and chips were and our waiter brought out a little sample plate with all three and fried okra so he could try them out and pick his favorite. Make a special trip just to try the Sea Salt Caramel Fries; they are loaded with sweet pepper bacon and have a sweet and spicy caramel sauce that is positively addictive. Portions are generous, waitstaff is friendly and the food is tasty - with a menu full of unique items to bring you back to try something new each time! I was not fond of the Great Plains Burger, the Boursin and blueberries overshadowed the Bison flavor. Well the food was not as good as I expected although the jumbo shrimp was awesome. The most annoying thing is how 6 or 7 staff members all stand around the front reception area like they are "city" workers standing around a pothole, when there are people waiting for tables that are empty. read more

My family and I ate here for the first time today, and we all loved our meals. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers: I highly recommend the dipping trio. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful! My family members who ordered pizzas raved about the quality. My hatch green chile burger was very yummy! This place is very expensive but the quality of ingredients and portion sizes will make me come back. We also had a large party and our server was friendly and attentive. I was visiting from Maine and our fish and chips was served cold and had hair in it. An employee passed and identified himself as John but he was extremely rude, dismissive and did not fix the issue. This was a pleasant surprise. We were happy to have a decent meal on our road trip. Had the sweet potato fries with bacon caramel drizzled over it. So I think I decided to try this place because it was voted as NWA best brewery. I must say that it lived up to its reputation. It was a Friday evening at around 6:30 and so I found parking in the parking lot adjacent to it. I walked inside and found out that there was a wait. I asked them how long and they said 20 min. So I signed in and like everyone else I stood outside waiting to be called. I think they called me @ 23 mins. Good job. Oh yea. If you give your number their system will text you. So the inside is typical of a brewery/restaurant. I did not notice anything special cause I guess I wanted to taste what the beer was like. Now I am not a beer drinker per say (more of a wine drinker) and so I decided on the sampler. YES!. Clearly the yelpers who guided me here were not mistaken. I got a great sample of the beer they brew. I like darker beers and totally enjoyed those but really there wasnt any that was bad. Overall good experience. I also had the loaded bricktown chips. Now here is my gripe. Bacon is a little salty so you dont add salt when you cook it or compensate for that saltiness. Yup. The loaded bricktown chips weree a tad too salty for me. As a date place, I would think of this as a 3rd or 4th date location once you know the other person. Unless you plan on throwing yourself on the other person, its not the kind of ambiance that gets me going for that romantic smooch. read more

I use to eat here at least once a week because of their delicious Yard Bird sandwich, and then one day it was updated to have Fuji apple pieces and arugula which was awful. Then one day it was just gone. I was beyond disappointed because I loved it so much. I'm so very glad that they haven't taken away or changed the Brown Derby Cobb salad.
