I thought it would be nice for my mom and I to go dress shopping together as a pre-wedding bonding moment (even though my mom HATES shopping, haha). Amy was in charge of helping us, and she was absolutely wonderful. She had the dress I had requested ahead of time pulled and ready in the dressing room. She also thoughtfully pulled a bunch of alternative styles for my consideration. She was super friendly and sweet and made the entire process so enjoyable. I ended up getting my dress that day (they gave a 10% discount since it was a sample - which was awesome) and so did my mom! I definitely wasn't expecting both of us to have success, but the selection was great and the staff made us feel so comfortable and confident. My mom's dress needs alterations, and they actually had the seamstress available to consult about what would be done. It helped ease my mom's mind and I feel happy knowing she will be in good hands for that when the time comes. True NIGHTMARE of an experience. The only reason I am giving one star is because you have to leave some type of rating. I got my wedding dress from here off the rack. I was between two dresses by the end of my fitting and asked the opinion of the staff members, and they fully endorsed the one I ended choosing stating "It looks so great, and it will be so easy and cheap to alter with the simple design". There was also a small run in the dress that they ASSURED me their seamstress Angie would be able to fix no problem. Mind you the owner was also present during this entire fitting and also endorsed this dress stating alterations would be minimal and Angie would have no problem fixing the run. Yeah...not the case for any of the above. I booked my first alteration appointment and was instantly thrown into a panic as Angie stated she could not fix the run whatsoever. She stated that the staff should have never said such things because they are not trained and that it was extremely unprofessional of them to give their thoughts without knowledge of the process. AGREED. Angie also said alterations on this dress WOULD NOT be simple and I would lose a lot of the detailing because she had to take it in so much. AND also charged me THREE TIMES what the B Ella Bridal staff quoted me for these "simple" alterations. Obviously, I would not have chosen this dress if the staff was at all knowledgeable and properly counseled me on their business and didn't just try to make a quick sale (which was clearly the end game). But here I was stuck with it as they have a 'no return policy', so I moved forward with the alteration. Then after my first alteration Angie tells me that wedding dresses normally need three alteration appointments, but she has nothing available for my other two.... You would think the staff would notify you of this when you make your first appointment so that you can schedule your other two at the same time so that you are not left with a partially finished dress and no appointments as I was about to be (fortunately Angie accommodated me by holding an appointment in her home so that I actually had a dress to wear, but still very frustrating and could have been completely avoided). Then, finally, with the cherry on top--Angie proceeded to hem my dress at least 3 inches too short (and yes, I was wearing the shoes I PLANNED on wearing at my wedding to my fitting). Even Angie noticed the huge discrepancy and said I must've changed shoes when I didn't... and there was obviously nothing she could do to fix it because you can't magically make a dress longer. So, I had to buy new shoes that arrived three days before my wedding.... imagine the unnecessary stress. Then when I voiced my concerns to B Ella Bridal their manager Summer ENSURED me that my concerns were heard, and they would be reaching out with a solution. Do you think I ever heard back?? Of course not. Then when I texted the number Summer gave me, I got a poorly written message back that said, "thank you for reaching out us" ?? Not sure if the manager, Summer, didn't care enough to proofread her message; or if it was an automated message with typos--but either way, extremely unprofessional. All in all, I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. Wedding planning is already stressful enough, don't let this place create 900 more problems for you that they can't even have the decency to solve. read more

They weren't terribly busy, but somehow took forever to greet me unenthusiastically, as if my presence was a nuisance. Maybe because I didn't have an appointment they didn't help me? They let me wander around and look, but I was told there wouldn't be much in my size (16) in a way that made me think people my size don't shop here. I found a couple dresses to try on. When in the dressing room and I needed assistance, an associate was never to be found, though I could hear them carousing in the break room. Selection is meh. Service is awful. Best bridal salon ever! My best friend recently got her bridal gown here and we ( the bridal party) got a great deal on our dresses because of that as well. The selection was enormous, prices ranged for everyone's budget and the staff was caring and kind. There was a lot of questions about fit and alterations and everyone was super helpful to inform and answer and questions even after we received the dresses. There was no pressure to buy for anyone they really took the time to make sure everything would be to the bride's liking with honest opinions even when it wasn't beneficial to the business. Some beautiful dresses were on display, but it was in no way overwhelming. Our consultant was Summer, who was very kind, friendly, and open. One thing you can get concerned about with dress shops is that they will push styles on you to make the sale. Luckily, Summer and B Ella Bridal did not give that vibe at all! Summer let us look at all the options, supported our own choices, and even pulled some great choices based on what we liked. What could have been a very stressful last-minute endeavor was made 100 times easier thanks to B Ella Bridal. And the best part? The dress was stunning. I was pretty sure that I had found my dress, but I didn't think I had a magic feeling, just thought it was absolutely gorgeous and something I'd always wanted. I expressed my desires and dreams to him and he brought them to life in a way that I never imagined! After telling him the things I loved, liked, and didn't care for, he let us browse the store while he also pulled some pieces for me. I felt so amazing in every single gown. The last gown I tried on was one that I immediately thought, "pretty, but not going to be the one." When I walked out everyone was in tears!! When I tell you I was in SHOCK, that's an understatement. I literally stood in this absolutely stunning gown, that I sworeeee I'd never wear and questioned everything I thought I knew for about 20 minutes. I went to B Ella Bridal Boutique in Plymouth, Michigan to buy my wedding dress. First off, I made an appointment with "Z" but when I showed up, they didn't remember me and I had to wait for them to help me to find my dress. The staff seemed friendly at first, but I later realized that it was quite fake just in order to make the sale. I tried on about 10 dresses there (I had previously tried on other dresses at other boutiques and had an idea of the style I wanted), but when I found the style of dress that I had been looking for, it was damaged and the zipper did not close. "Z" held the dress together in the back and the dress seemed to fit and she ensured me that as long as I had a professional fix my zipper, the dress was a perfect fit. I had some reservations but she strongly pressured me and promised that the dress truly fit and there would be no problems. I purchased the dress and had the zipper repaired only to discover that when the zipper zipped up, I now showed an amount of back fat that I don't really have. It's literally he dress being too small now that we can actually zip it up. I'm 5"9 and 130 pounds, so I'm not overweight by any means. I didn't gain any weight, in fact the opposite a few pounds. The tailor explained to me that when "Z" held the dress together, she actually in fact held the dress up much higher than the dress was designed to fit. I explained to "Z" what the tailor said and asked if there was anything that could be done about the situation, since I'm getting married in ONE week, and she said because I purchased the dress she was relieved of all responsibility. She was extremely rude and condescending on the phone and I hung up in tears realizing that she only cared about making the sale rather than helping me find the perfect dress for my wedding. I would STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT ever go to this boutique as they truly do not care about people but only about money. I'm so upset and feel as though I was lied to by these sales people and was misled in the design and fit of the dress. They didn't accept any responsibility in the situation and I'm so upset and can't imagine wearing this dress down the aisle. read more

I originally went to B ella bridal to look at bridesmaid dresses. They have one of the largest collections of bridesmaid dresses, I was very impressed. They have all price points and tons and tons of styles. I took my mother to shop for a mother of the bride dress. They have an entire room devoted to mother of bride dresses. I was very impressed. Not only did my mother try on those dresses but they also pulled a few bridesmaid dresses. My mother got a dress she loves and feels confident in. The staff was great to work with. They did not pressure my mom and gave her honest feedback. They wanted to make sure she got a dress she felt her best in. I also took my fiance's mom to shop for a mother of groom dress. She also had success. Her sales associate pulled a dress she would have never thought to pull herself. She ended up looking absolutely stunning in the dress and loves it! I'm 32 and I'm almost to a "28 dresses" level when it comes to purchasing bridesmaid dresses, so it is not my first rodeo. This establishment and your experience here will be lackluster at best. I did not feel welcomed when I arrived and I felt like an inconvenience. After I tried my dress on they informed me I was about three sizes bigger than I had ever bought a dress before. I triple checked measurements with their dress size measurements. Ok, it must just be odd sizing here, I thought. It took five months, fiiiiive months, to get the dress in. When I picked up my dress, I arrived an hour before closing time. I walked to the back where I heard noise coming from, to find out every single employee was attending a birthday party with nobody available to assist customers. My dress was entirely too big, and I could have easily gone down a dress size or two. When I asked how long it took for alterations they told me 6-8 weeks, which was too late for the wedding date. I took my dress to Perfect Fit at Margaret's in Plymouth (amazing, check my review there, I've been going to her for years). She was astonished at the dress size and asked where I purchased it from, because she couldn't believe how big it was. Out of a local-business professional courtesy, she simply said, well at least we can find your hips now! The other bridesmaids had terrible experiences that include multiple sizes that are far too large, an incorrect dress ordered, delays in obtaining our dresses and customer service skills that are sub par. If you have money to spend, patience for excessive alterations and do not mind poor customer service, then go here. Otherwise, please do yourself a favor and find a classier establishment. read more

I wish I were giving this place a better review. I purchased my wedding dress here in December and had a wonderful experience. Dominique was my salesman and he was wonderful and professional. He took the time to make sure that I was purchasing what I really wanted. However, I made it clear when I purchased the gown that I would want to purchase additional lace to made some alterations. I was told that it would be no issue to purchase additional lace from the seller. At the end of January, I contacted them to request this lace. They stated that they would have to call me back. They did not return my call at the promised time. After two weeks of waiting, I called them to check the status. They assured me they were working on it. An additional ten days passed with no word. Finally, I called them again (now anxious, because my wedding is in June and I need to get this underway). They literally hung up on me. They said, "Let me check the notes and see what's going on!" They put me on hold, and then hung up on me after five minutes. When I attempted to call back, they let it ring through to voicemail. This was literally five attempts on my part to obtain the lace I need, and they have completely ignored me. Today, desperate, I contacted another retailer and they informed me that they can order the lace ... but it won't be here in time for my wedding. So I literally lost out on my dream dress because this shop couldn't be bothered to just TELL ME they couldn't get the lace. I had to wait for four weeks just to be hung up on and ignored. And now it's too late to do the alterations I've been picturing for the last year. I'm fuming, and I was initially so happy with them. I'm extremely disappointed to be treated this way, and now I'm in a bind because they wouldn't just let me know that they couldn't obtain the fabric. If they had just told me up front, I could have obtained the fabric in time. read more

Perfect! The service, the dresses, the help . . . all PERFECT. My daughter, her future mother-in-law, and I went shopping on a recent Saturday. We went to 3 shops that day. I have nothing bad to say about the other two except to say B Ella was THE best. Dominique was our consultant. My daughter and her friends call him the "dress whisper". He helped pick the perfect dress for two of her friends and for her! He listened to what she wanted and brought dresses that fit her description and that would look great on her. I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed my experience at B. Ella Bridal, in Plymouth. The appointment started a bit rocky; my GPS led me to their (old) downtown Northville location, but after I called, they told me they had consolidated their stores into just the Plymouth location. Not a big deal because it's only 15 minutes away, but, be forewarned - do not follow your GPS if it directs you to downtown Northville! I was a little nervous based on B. Ella's mixed reviews, but once I got there, everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable. It was my first time shopping, plus we were a pretty-big entourage, but my consultant Linda managed to wrangle us all and help me through the overwhelming selection of dresses. I would definitely recommend requesting Linda, she was like a mash-up of a friend meets mom meets super-bridal-lady, a perfect mix for me! B. Ella's selection is a little overwhelming, and while the store is really pretty, it seems to be bursting at the seams. The dresses were really beautiful, but kind of hard to access because they're shoved into these closet/cove things. I did appreciate their huge selection, it gave me a lot of wiggle room in my budget and I never felt like a was limited to a small number of dresses. My dress is a Mori Lee (so gorgeous!) , and they seem to have a ton of the styles I saw online, but I tried on a bunch of other really beautiful dresses too. I ended up choosing my veil that day too, I was super surprised at how many veil options there are! Linda helped me find something I didn't even know existed, but I'm super excited to wear. Overall I definitely had a fantastic experience. I would give B. Ella a 5-rating for their selection, knowledge, friendliness and Linda! But, I have to give them a 4-rating, because of some of the other things in the store. I had my very traditional grandmothers with me, and some of the things other consultants were wearing, the fact they were barefoot and using profanity made it a little uncomfortable sometimes. My first appointment for dress shopping (ever!) was here and I worked with Megan. She was really great and super patient with me as I tried on lots of different silhouettes and styles. She helped me put everything on and made sure to fit things nicely before I came out of the dressing room. I appreciated that she also gave suggestions and pulled things that she thought I may like after listening to my ideas and feedback. She spent about 3 hours with me the first day and never rushed me at all! I came back a second time to try on a few favorites and got a little less hands-on help, but it was nice to have space to process things by myself without the pressure of a consultant. I didn't end up purchasing my dress here, so I can't speak to what that process is like, but I would definitely recommend it at as a place to shop. They have a great selection and the shop is really nice--comfortable areas for those shopping with you to sit and wait, and fairly spacious dressing rooms. read more

The manufacturer made an error and sent some of my bridesmaids dresses that were the wrong style. I was very impressed and happy with how efficient and kind they were to fix the error. This is actually a review for their sister store, Bride & Joy. It is an off the rack store that they use to sell discontinued dresses or ones they are no longer carrying - you get to try on and buy that day the dress that has been in the store as a sample for trying on. I got the most beautiful dress for almost half off! It was one size too big, but I had it altered and no one knew that it originally didn't fit. The store doesn't always have a staff person, so I just called the phone number and an associate from the store came over to open it for me and helped me to find my perfect dress after describing what I was looking for. Highly recommended if you don't mind buying a dress that has been tried on before, but hey, if you're only wearing it for one day, who cares? read more

She made the experience very enjoyable and helped guide me in the right direction as the whole process is a bit overwhelming. I found the place clean, and there are so many choices and styles! I absolutely LOVED this bridal boutique . The staff, especially Nancy, were all very helpful and lovely. They make you feel completely comfortable and special. Nancy was my bridal assistant and she pulled out the winning dress on first try! Pricing, selection and staff all are fabulous. The boutique is nicely set up so all people with you can sit comfortably in nice couches. I'd recommend B Ella to anyone. I couldn't have asked for a better experience finding my wedding dress. I was so nervous going in and didn't even have an appointment. They made my Mom and I feel very comfortable and welcomed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, but I never felt pressure. I only had to try on two dresses to find the perfect one. Katherine was the one who helped me the most, and she was very easy to talk to and understood my taste and style. If you are a laid back person and don't want sales associates in your face, I would highly recommend shopping here for you big day! read more

This bridal shop did the ultimate in "bait and switch". We went in on Black Friday - 25% off our order, which we did not divulge until we were ready to place our order. . .HOWEVER. . . once we placed our Jasmine order, we were told that floor length was additional $45 (We could see on the price sheet that it said $30, but oops, the price sheet was "last year's prices" even though it was Nov 2014). . . then when we wanted extra length (we had 3 tall bridesmaids) we were told "that will be an extra $20 (even though, earlier, they said extra length was free). Everything changed once they found out that we knew about their 25% off Black Friday sale. All prices got jacked up. My advice is DO NOT actually purchase there. They have a great selection, but they are out to screw you over - look over their inventory and then make your purchase somewhere else!!! The salespeople AND the owner make promises but they do not deliver on them. They definitely hiked up the prices and then made it seem like we "misunderstood" when we questioned them. I made an appointment. In CA you have to have an appointment for everything. It's recommended but during the week I feel you could just walk in. I worked with the lovely, Jamie. I walked in saw a dress on display and knew it was the one. The price was SO REASONABLE I tried on more dresses and picked out TWO! One dress for the church and one for the reception. The owner gave me an additional 20% OFF because I bought 2 dresses. I won't reveal how much I spent but I will tell you B Ella is a gem of a bridal salon. Coming from LA and SD (Los Angeles and San Diego) I had little luck finding a dress in MI. I tried on many dresses from other bridal salons and had ZERO luck. Thank you B Ella for having two dresses for my wedding in November. Jamie is fantastic. She isn't pushy and honest. May you have the luck I had. Ask for Jamie! read more

I came specifically to this bridal store to try on Watters bridal gowns because they were rated as a platinum dealer. This store is receiving the 1 and only star rating because it did have such a great selection and variety of this specific brand. However service and experience was beyond sad and very frustrating. My group was greeted and I was asked what I was looking for. I picked out the dresses (alone) I wanted to try on and then was assigned a "consultant". She seemed annoyed to be helping me and mumbled under her breath instructions to put on a dress. Since these are expensive gowns I didnt want to put it on the wrong way or do it up myself. My consultant seemed again frustrated that I required help. Her only response when I tried on a dress was that looks nice in a monotone voice. Meanwhile around my fitting room were other younger workers gossiping and joking around. This store's front appearance seems professional but BE WARNED. VERY POOR SERVICE. DONT BOTHER GOING HERE. Instead walk down the street for another 5 minutes and find Jacqueline at Bridal Couture. She will make you feel like a beautiful bride. read more
