Not sure where to begin with Neil because he is THE BEST!!! Just saw him yesterday, because as an appreciation to his customers he offered free jewelry cleaning during the holidays. Just the cleaning service alone is amazing, I bring in family heirloom jewelry for Neil to clean and it looks more beautiful than when I first inherited them! We've been customers with Neil since 2016. He made my engagement ring, our wedding bands, our bridal party earrings, and a dainty pair of cubic zirconia studs for our flower girl. Neil and his wife are veterans in the business, with 40+ years under their belt, so they are knowledgeable of all kinds of diamonds, metals, gemstones, and styles from modern to traditional. They've seen it all and Neil can make it all! Even for my wedding band, the style I wanted would cost 5K at retail stores, but he charged me a 1/5 of the price because he gets you the best deal possible and he makes your jewelry, as in he cuts the diamonds and sets them himself! I don't have the biggest diamonds, but the diamonds Neil chose and cut for me are so brilliant and beautiful, I've had a lot of women grab my hand to get a closer look at my rings because they can't believe how sparkly it is for such small diamonds. All I really want is a sparkly pretty ring, not a hunk of rock on my finger where it becomes a security risk to wear around the city or gets in the way of doing things. Though I have tried on his 3-carat engagement rings and those were swoon-worthy! He can make you a huge ring if you have the money, and he will sell it to you at a great deal. Neil is also very honest with you, will not overpromise and will work within your budget, as he did with my bridal party earrings. He made solitaire cubic zirconia stud earrings set in white gold. I originally wanted moissanite, but to fit it within my budget I would have to get tiny stones. So instead he told me to get the cubic zirconia and I could afford a bigger sized stone. And yes, the moissanite was more beautiful, but I was amazed at how pretty the cubic zirconia was in comparison. It's not dull like what you would see at Nordstrom. Typically cubic zirconia earrings are always set in a cheap material that most people are allergic to with the plastic backing. My bridal party (who were my sisters) were amazed that the stones weren't real diamonds because they were so sparkly regardless! My sisters wear them every day and they've told me they get compliments on them all the time, though they don't tell people they're not real diamonds, lol! Also, Neil is just a great and humble person. On some visits my husband and I stay for over 2 hours just because we're having too good of a conversation with Neil and his wife! Okay, I wrote a very long review...as you can see, my husband and I love Neil and we hope he doesn't retire soon because we want him to be our family jeweler like his other longtime customers. Where do I start? First off, this man is like no other. He is a rare breed. He does what he says he will do and does it with every drop of his talents. Neil used to work for over 25 years with his brother at Bridal Diamond Palace, and was always the designer in the family. I was told by his brother that he had retired and come to find out he has not, thank God!! I came to LA with the thought of getting a custom double halo ring designed for my girlfriend at the time eventually now a fiancee. She went with me to a local jewelry store here in Orange County where we were able to see an idea of the kind of ring that she would be interested in. Of course seeing some of these rings and all these mounts are made in China and very bulky with lots of posts sticking up and just not real flush, with lots of metal and just not beautiful lile Neil can make. It was about 15 years ago that I went to him and we had a ring made for at the time my ex fiance and honestly it was nothing to compare to this ring that has been made recently by Neil. I sent pics of the chinese mount ring that I wanted him to of course make better with better diamonds, remove posts, open it up, put princess cut center stone, rest round diamonds, not just tiny pieces of diamonds, and most importantly with the center Diamond being the most important decision. Then when I got to his shop he sat down with me. He had no upsell whatsoever. He asked me what I wanted to spend and brought out five princess diamonds anywhere from 1.5 to 2 carats and I was able to look at each one individually. I spent several hours looking at each one in detail looking at the reports and talking with him to pick out the most beautiful center diamond ever! When he gave me the price it was literally 25 to 30% cheaper than the store that we went to earlier that week and much better quality. Much bigger, and better side stones. So clean, quality and a custom-made ring by Neil and just the way we wanted it. Not just a single halo, but a double halo. All stones are round except the center which is 1.71 ct, princess cut, so clear and gorgeous. Neil confided in me, saying "It was one of his most challenging rings hes ever made". He started with a wax mold, and he sent me pics, and was open to hear my thoughts and was clear with his thoughts and suggestions. We did change the ring little tweak here & there. Of course even though the ring after proposing ended up being a little small I arranged to meet with Neil on a Sunday night, he took the ring back, when into LA and met me the very next day. So that way I was able to put it on to my beautiful fiance's ring finger, so we can all take pictures and start our engagement. Could never have done any of this quite as beautiful never with as much Integrity as what this man Neil can do. My hunny had some family rings not being worn. I can tell you first-hand he'll take anything that you've got as far as jewelry old new or indifferent, and help you to revitalize it melt it down. We utilized and repurposed the stones. He is so honest and so trustworthy and just such a pleasant person to work with. Let me end off by saying, that I've known him for close to 20-25 years! My mother has bought from him and many people and my friends and family circle have bought from him for many many years. I myself have custom made jewelry with him. Many custom earrings, necklaces, tennis bracelets, rings for myself the list goes on and on. You will definitely not go wrong by doing business with Neil Diamond Rings! He is the real deal. My suggestion is go out and get your best price for the best quality ring you can get your hands on. Get it all in writing and then take the deal to Neil. He'll beat the price, give you better quality and custom design it for you. Dont think you have to spend too much money to get good quality.
