We cannot recommend Paula and this place enough! We had a marathon wedding dress appointment today and tried on over 20 dresses, and Paula made our experience perfect! She was exceptionally patient, attentive, knowledgeable and thoughtful during our multi-hour session, and represented a 5-star customer service experience. We even stayed after closing hours without realizing it, and Paula didn't even mention anything, and throughout the whole experience, she was cheerful, pleasant and very personal. Excellent collection of dresses. This was the only place in the area that had a wide array of the wedding dresses I was interested in trying on: classy, elegant, unique dresses WITH sleeves. They had my favorites from Mori Lee, Maggie Sottero, and Allure. I contacted them several months early to reserve my appointment and they still had all of those samples by the time of my appointment, whereas other stores had sold all of them before I arrived. They ended up being out of power due to a totally random storm, but were apologetic and squeezed me in the day they opened back up and never made me feel rushed. My consultant was professional, would help me get in and out of dresses quickly, and wasn't pushy. They even had all the dresses I'd inquired about ready to go in my dressing room by the time I arrived! They did a good job with the clips, and though I'm not a tiny size, they made me look good in every dress I tried on. They were knowledgeable about potential alterations and even found the perfect veil for the dress I chose. I'm glad that they provide alterations on site. When I was deciding between 2 different dresses, multiple staff members voiced their opinion in a very helpful manner, discussing the style/theme/appropriateness for the venue. read more

Very helpful! Easy to find. Lots of different styles and dresses to choose from. I went in to try on a FB marketplace dress and they were very accommodating. I was told upon arrival that I couldn't come out of the room because it wasn't a dress being purchased from there but because there was no one in the store they let me look at myself in the mirror. This was the only place I went to try on wedding dresses. I had the most wonderful experience! I was given time to look through the dresses on my own and tried on 7-8 that I picked out myself. The consultant helping me listened to my comments and looked at the pictures I brought in, and then picked out 8-10 more dresses for me to try. I swear, that woman was magic! Each dress she picked out for me was better than the next (and all of them were better than the ones I picked out for myself!). I found my dress and bought it the same day! They were very professional and made me feel wonderful and attended to the entire time. Earlier this week I was in looking for bridesmaid dresses, but also talked with them about scheduling alterations. I have dropped a few dress sizes since ordering my dress, and wanted to make sure that they would have enough time to work on the dress before my wedding. The consultant I was working with knew they had a smaller size of my dress in the store and asked if I wanted to try it on (so we could see how the new size fit). It was much closer to where I needed to be size-wise, so I appreciated getting to try it on. Then the consultant told me the owner would be okay swapping dressing with me. All I had to do was bring in my too-big dress and they would swap me for the smaller one! Today I brought in my old dress and walked out of the store about 5 minutes later with the new one. I love the personable service at this store. The women who work here are wonderful and professional, and really love trying to find something to please the bride! I never felt pressured or rushed to buy anything, which I totally appreciate! I am so thankful for a great experience so far, and I can't wait to keep working with Bridal Gallery up through my wedding. I had a wonderful experience at this bridal shop, and I didn't even need an appointment! I grew up in Kentwood, and never realized this place had so many dresses. 10 aisles to be exact! They are sorted by style (strapless, lace, mermaid, pick-ups, straps, plus size, sale, clearance, etc.) When you walk into the store, you fill out a card with basic info (name, wedding date, etc.) and they give you colored rings to put on the hangars of dresses you want to try on, and they put them into the fitting room for you. When trying on the dresses, the bridal consultant was very attentive, and even suggested other dresses I might like. The experience at Bridal Gallery was very laid-back, enjoyable, and I even think I found my dream dress there! This bridal shop is a must for local Grand Rapids brides! read more

I was dissappointed with the quality of gowns. Many looked like they had been there for years and many outdated styles. The shower curtain rings on the dresses was strange and very inpersonal. I would say it seemed more like a clearance house of gowns. They did have some bridesmaids I liked but didn't have a good selection to tryon and the color I wanted was available for me to see before ordering. My girls tried on a few dresses, but I couldn't bring myself to tryon any gowns there (It reminded me of shopping at TJ Max where you have to dig for an hour to find something) Not happening for my wedding gown! This was the first place I went to, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Rachel, my consultant, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all things wedding dress related. The entire process started with being handed colored rings to clip to the dresses I wanted to try on. I went with a large group of friends and family, and I was able to give each of them a clip in order to try on a variety of dresses. I was open minded to what kind of dress I wanted, so this was a fun process for everyone to feel included. Rachel assisted me with trying everything on, and was able to address what I liked and disliked about each dress. From there, she walked through the store and selected additional dresses that she believed I would like all staying within my budget. At the end of the night, I had four dresses that I truly liked, so she wrote them down on a personalized card, so when I came back for their trunk show, I would be able to try them on and make a final decision. read more

While in Michigan I scheduled several appointments to shop for a wedding dress with my daughter. What a unique surprise when we pulled into the parking lot. A reserved spot for "bride with her name on the sign". Nice touch I wish I could remember our stylists name because she was great. She contacted my daughter beforehand to ask what type if dress she had in mind and had her send pictures so they could have them pulled and ready when we got there. I just wanted to say thank-you to the staff who let us come in at 7pm to try on bridal gowns without an appointment. They didn't rush us at all, Emily was extremely helpful with pulling styles & she even encouraged me that I didn't have to buy that day because I am getting married in a year and a half. But I found the dress I wanted and purchased anyways. She did a great job pinning the dresses to fit me! It was very laidback and a comfortable experience. And now my maid of honor is getting married and also going to be going there to buy her gown! Very great bridal shop with great selection! Loved my experience here! Went in there to try on bridesmaids dresses and ended up getting my dress there as well 6 months later. They have a large selection and their prices are good and made even cheaper if you pay all up front. They helped me order a custom veil and everything came in sooner than they promised. Everyone was friendly and they steamed my dress and veil for me before the big day. Would reccommend to anyone!! read more

Rude and inconsiderate: I took a couple of my bridesmaids to Bridal Gallery this past weekend. We had an appointment to look at Bridesmaids dresses, only 2 of the maids were going to try on since the others were decided (my original appointment was for 5, so 2 should have been no problem right... WRONG). We were greeted as we walked in and told to begin looking through the dresses, we did have an employee start 2 dressing rooms for us. That was the end of the good customer service we received. We sat down in the chairs that were open in the back while the 2 bridesmaids tried on about 4 dresses each. We were asked to move chairs because we were talking to each other. We were asked by 4 different employees to have the girls change in the same dressing room to open up the other. Each time I was asked I said that we were almost finished and would be out as soon as possible. The 4th time we were asked they were so ride about it. NEWSFLASH--- not every person is comfortable changing in front of each other. We only had 2 of our 5 people with us with an appointment. We never received an assistance of help when the girls had the dresses on like we did at other stores like Renee Austin Wedding and even David's Bridal was more attentive. No one tried to help us, pin the girls or even ask if we needed anything. We left and told them we were not happy with the service, the manager could not have cared less. I would not recommend you go here, there are many more places that will treat you better and if you are going to spend hundreds of dollars on dresses, make it fun and worth your time and excitement. This place is a buzz kill to a fun day shopping for your wedding! read more

I have never done any kind of review of any establishment because I think they're ridiculous, but I felt the need to give Bridal gallery one. My experience with this company has been terrible. The only reason I am giving two stars is because I like the bridesmaids dress I chose. The day I went in and tried on dresses I had a young lady helping me determining the size I should order and cash out. The sample dress I tried on was the exact size I wanted, it fit perfectly other than length. The girl helping me kept trying to talk me into a larger dress and having it taken in. Well I thought we agreed that we would order the size I wanted but I guess that's not the case, I received the dress in the larger size and now have taken it to get altered which costs more than I paid for the dress because it has to drastically be taken in, hemmed and the straps are insanely long. When I picked it up and tried it on I was waiting around for someone to check on me and even walked around trying to find someone to talk to about the size and still couldn't find anyone. So once I was dressed and leaving the woman was helping someone else now and looked at me and said "Oh I forgot you were here, if you need alterations you need to schedule them through us now if you want them to be done in time for the wedding." This is when I was really annoyed because I ordered my dress in April and was told I should expect a call first or second week of July. After the second week of July came and went Without a call, I called them to check on it and it still hadn't been shipped to them, so they said it should be there in about a week or two. A week or two came and went by again with no call, so I called again and same thing happened. So by this point it's the first week of August and the said it would be there mid week of next week (August 8/9) and still no call. So finally I called AGAIN on Friday afternoon and they actually had it and didn't call me. Every time I spoke to someone they all seemed irritated that they had to check if it was in. So after her comment of getting it altered immediately through them if I wanted it done in time (which wouldn't have even been an issue if they weren't a month late and the wedding was a month away) I couldn't wait to get out of that store and not give them any more of business. It was absolutely unnecessary stress and unacceptable customer service. read more

This was the first stop we went to on my sister's dress search and she almost left in tears. The girl who was helping us was nice, but she kept taking off and added nothing to the experience. One of the other bridesmaids ended up going into the fitting room and doing the sales person's job. We have since gone to another store (which I'm not allowed to mention or yelp will delete my review) and the experience has been completely different. My mother and I live 5 hours apart from each other which we feared would complicate dress shopping together. In effort to make it easy for both of us, we did a quick Google search of wedding dress shops in Grand Rapids, our halfway point, and quickly settled upon making an appointment at Bridal Gallery as it carried the brands we were interested in. During our first appointment, we (my Ma, my sister and I) were greeted quickly by the friendly staff and instructed how to use the store. Instead of picking dresses out of a book like I had at the last store I visited, we were invited to walk the rows of dresses and mark those we liked most with color-specific rings (each bride shopping at that time had a different color.) It was great to actually see and feel the dresses in person before making a decision to try them on. After trying on 7 or 8 dresses, I decided on a beautiful dress that I wasn't even going to try on because the train of the sample was so mangled. Thankfully, my consultant Elise took the time to make less of a mess out of the dress so that I could try it. I am so grateful that she insisted upon fixing it so that I could try it on. After the original purchase, my experience just got better. Knowing that we were from out of town, Bridal Gallery really worked with me to ensure that my appointments worked within our schedules. My fittings were fabulous. The seamstress is amazing. She really took her time and listened to all of my concerns. Best of all, they convinced me to add a beautiful pearl headband to my dress as a belt. It was sewn on and looked like that was the way it was meant to be. It completely took my dress to the next level. Thank you, Bridal Gallery, for making the whole wedding dress shopping/fitting process one of the most stress-free aspects of my entire wedding planning process. I went to Bridal Gallery to find a gown for my wedding. They give you rings to place on the hangers of the dresses you like and a consultant will collect them as your browsing and put them in a room for you. Our consultant was very very nice and helped me into each gown and clipped the dress to fit me as some of them were not my size. She even pulled some dresses for me based upon the styles I liked. I didn't find my dress at that store but I did have a great experience! read more

The customer service at this shop was the worst I have ever received. I understand it's a Saturday and we didn't have an appointment, but that is no excuse for making customers feel unwelcome. We waited 30 mins for a room and were told we had 30 mins to try on bridesmaid dresses. On our way out, after 30 mins, we heard two clerks discussing our party in a negative manner. I had a great experience at Bridal Gallery and found my dress there. They have a great (large!) selection, and the organization by style, and featured designers area kept it from feeling overwhelming. The Associate that helped me, Rachel, was very calming and helpful; not pushy at all. The selection process was fun, and even with Rachel and some friends and family there to help pick some out to try on, I ended up finding my own dress, which was unexpected, and a very fun outcome! After finding the dress, Rachel and the other employees were very straightforward in explaining the ordering, payment and fitting process. As I live in Chicago right now, they were very understanding of providing a larger pickup window once the dress came in. read more

Somehow the order for one of my bridesmaids' dresses got messed up, causing it to come in way later than it should have. Honestly, mistakes happen so that's not what bothered me. What bothered me is when I called to understand how it happened, I was spoken to like I was audacious for asking. And this being the third time I or one of my bridesmaids were treated rudely by them just takes the cake for me. I can handle human error, but NOT a poor display of customer service to that extent. I'm sure the reason why I wasn't treated with the same regard as others is because I didn't buy my bridal gown from them (with good reason) but a good business wouldn't consider that a factor in how they treat a customer. (After all, I was a customer in ordering my bridesmaid dresses from there for the convenience of the majority of my bridesmaids who live in the area). Like one of the previous reviewers of this establishment said, there are plenty of places in the Grand Rapids area to get bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses that treat their customers with professionalism. read more

Initially our experience with Bridal Gallery was very pleasant. While my daughter did not purchase her gown here, we did purchase 5 bridesmaids dresses and my mother-of-the-bride dress. Then came the alterations. The seamstress was extremely rude to one of the bridesmaids. The seamstress told our gal that she needed to lose weight, which was interesting seeing as the dress was to big, and that she asked to many questions. At her fourth fitting, when it was apparent that no changes had been made to the dress, our bridesmaid asked to speak to the manager. With my daughter listening on the phone to the conversation, the manager told our gal to take the f...... dress and get out of the store. Regardless of any interaction that may have taken place between the seamstress and the bridesmaid, no manager should be swearing at a customer like that, and out on the floor where all the customers can here her use unnecessary, foul language. read more
