Buying the car wasn't the worst part -- it was everything after that. I didn't have insurance at the time, and instead of giving me proper options, the salesperson suggested I get temporarily added to my significant other's insurance just to push the deal through. I bought the car expecting to hear back soon about my title so I could transfer everything legally. Instead, I got the runaround. As my temp tags were about to expire, I called to ask about the title and was met with an incredibly rude woman and unprofessional response. I was told they didn't have it. Then, my girlfriend called a bit later and suddenly they did have it and were mailing it. None of it made sense. Because of their delay, I ended up having to drive with expired tags. One of the employees told me, "It's fine -- if you get a ticket, we'll pay for it." Which is absolutely false -- we confirmed with NJMVC that you cannot legally drive on expired tags. To make matters worse, 32 days after purchase, the check engine light came on. Clearly, they reset or disabled it when selling the car. The Carfax report also falsely stated an oil change was done -- I know it wasn't because I had to do it myself. After fixing one issue, the check engine light came on again. This dealership only cares about making the sale -- once you drive off the lot, they don't care about you or the car. I will never buy a vehicle from them again. read more

One broke down multiple times, the other was so rusted that a Chevy dealer said it should never have been sold. Even under warranty, they refused a refund. I was forced to trade in and lost over $4,500, plus towing and lost income. When I brought this up, the manager told me "our cars aren't guaranteed to pass inspection." Despicable behavior from Bob, the salesman. Came in to look at 2 cars. Bob asked for the drivers license of the person who was test driving the cars, He gave us the keys and met us outside by the first car. We got in the car and drove off, without him, as he stood watching. Another person in our party stood there with him talking. After we came back, We parked and said we were test driving the other vehicle next, as we pulled out of the spot, and drove down the parking lot, Bob yelled after us and told us to stop. He freaked out on my child and told them to get out and said we can't just drive around in the car without him. He told us to get out and said what do we think we are doing?! I reminded him that he just watched us do it for the first car and he just stood there. I said, we just told you what we were doing and you didn't stop us, you saw us pull out and drive away. He then said well you cannot do that here and ripped my child out of the car. I told him that every other dealership that we have been to allowed us to test drive the car without a sales person in the car. He continues to yell and freak out at us. They called me several times to set up an appointment, confirmed it for today, and I even asked in advance if I could bring a mobile pre-purchase inspection (PPI). They said yes. When I arrived, an assistant took my information, but after a few minutes told me the car was "in service" and not available. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not purchase a used car from this dealership. Bought a 2014 Kia Soul and had to replace 3 catalytic converters. They replace two of them with used parts. However, the mechanics do not know how to assemble and replace catalytic converters. My current mechanic had to replace their second catalytic converter and while taking off the second one he noticed not only did the mechanic at Bridge auto put it in the wrong, they put the sensor in backwards. When I called to tell them my story the finance manager was very rude and not compassionate at all. I seen the truck online, made an appointment and went to see the truck. They offered for me to take it around the block for a test drive which I did. Everything checked out. So I purchased the car and drove it away the same day. A few days later the check engine light came on. They asked me to bring it in at my convenience. So I did and they fixed it while I was waiting. Run Away!! --- I am a local business owner in Berlin, and the last thing I want to do is speak negatively about another local business. However, my experience with Bridge Auto Group has been simply unacceptable (I'm 50 years old, and this is only the second online review I've ever written in my life). I will stick to the facts, as my emotional take on being spoken to as a moron or uneducated consumer is irrelevant for this example. This example is simply about Vlad (owner), KNOWINGLY RUNNING AN UNFAIR BUSINESS. For the record, when buying a used car, you run a risk. Duh. I get it. I AM 100% UNDERSTANDING OF THIS, AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH IT.. There's a certain risk, I know it, I took it, and I got burned. I bought a long-term crappy car. It's MY fault. Rusted out undercarriage, and several steering things that need attention (my other car is a 2-seater rear-wheel drive... I bought the truck because I needed something safe for winter driving). However, I was promised face-to-face by Vlad and Ron (Service Manager) that EACH CAR GOES THROUGH A SAFETY INSPECTION before the car is sold. This is clearly a lie. I bought the car knowing the risks, but confident I could trust what Bridge was telling me. Had a friend look at it and tell me it needed new brake pads and rotors--- no problem. I want the car to be safe. I'll take it in and pay to get it fixed right away. No problem; just some brake pads and rotors. Independent local reliable mechanic, with no dog in the fight, puts it up on the lift.... besides the WHOLE THING being RUSTED OUT (again, that's on me), they tell me the truck should have "never been driven off the lot for "SAFETY'S SAKE"... BOTH FRONT CALIPEERS BROKEN, FRONT LEFT WHEEL LOCKED IN PLACE AND WON'T SPIN FREELY, pads, rotors and a front tire that had the inside portion spun so you couldn't see the wear bar showing. It was $1600 of repairs to make it "SAFE TO DRIVE". This is what I asked Vlad to reimburse me for.... I'm going to swallow the OTHER $1700 ($3300 total) to make it a solid car (fix broken sway bars/struts/lower control arms, but FAIR BUSINESS says Bridge should reimburse me for the immediate safety repairs!!! He has repeatedly refused. I spent over $10,000 on the truck, and was told it was a safe truck to drive. I then signed a ghetto looking form that said the warranty is only 1-month on Power Train only... I know. I signed it, and by the letter of the law, Bridge owes me nothing.... But local business Karma has a funny way of working things out. I am immediately having to put $3300 into a vehicle to make it a functional Rust Bucket, and Vlad wants to KICK A MAN WHILE HE'S DOWN. All I want is the $1600 back I spent additionally on top of the sale to make the truck safe!!! He already made his money off of me by selling me the vehicle that was supposedly safe. Yet after several exchanges via email and text, and a face to face meeting with me today (12/6), he has decided that it is good business for him to keep his $1600, not keep his promise, and treat a paying customer unworthy of fairness I trust Vlad is about to learn a very valuable lesson in treating people fairly when doing business in the Berlin/Voorhees neighborhood. I will be printing, framing, and posting this review at my reception desk that is 5 minutes away from Bridge Auto. Pictures of receipts, rust, mechanics notes, and a video of the stuck wheel to follow). From the slick talking salesman who told me, "I've had 4 calls about this truck this morning!!" I went in to look at a vehicle and test drive it last week. There seemed to be only two people inside of the business and one in the garage area. They showed me a vehicle and let me test drive it with completely worn tires. I was told the vehicle was detailed but it was clear that the car hadn't been. It looked like it went through a cheap car wash. It was filthy inside and out. I was still interested in the vehicle, but my other half said, "absolutely not". He said, "they shouldn't have even showed you a car with worn tires." It was clear that they just got it from the auction and they just wanted to sell it in any condition. Be careful this place sells cars they bought at auctions with accident damage poorly fixed. It looks like they get the cars in fix them as cheaply as possible and put them on the lot. The cars are not checked mechanically so you could end up with a car with a bad transmission. Just look closely at the paint jobs when you go there. You will see panels have been resprayed on most cars. Most rental cars have their own insurance so no accident would be Reported to car fax so yes cars could be wrecked and have clean car faxes. read more

We supplied the proper insurance information and then traveled from over an hour away to make our appointment. When we arrived we were told by Kenneth leek that the car was sold just a few minutes earlier. He did not call us or email us to save us any time and travel not to mention help dishonorable days to have an agreement and then to break it. The car I bought was a 2013 Chrysler 200 with 76K miles. Found on Car Gurus. Their price was the best. I didn't even go to see that specific car but when I didn't like the car I was looking at Carlo recommended that one. I drove it and fell in love with it. You have to do your homework when it comes to pricing. That car was very fairly priced so I didn't get nor did I expect a price drop. Their cars are not perfect. They are USED cars. But really people, if you want a perfect car, buy new. A dealer is not going to buy a used car, dump a lot of money into it making it perfect. They would lose all profit. And yes even dealers need to make a profit. They are all not trying to rip you off. They are not trying to sell you a knowingly bad car. It's the buyers responsibility to get the car checked out. I also specifically bought this car because it was a one owner Carfax with all of the maintenance recorded. Ok with all that being said I test drove 3 cars before deciding on this one. I didn't buy that first night. Of course Carlo tried his hardest. How could you blame him. That's his job. I researched the car, did my homework and when I was ready, came back to make the deal. Carlo was accommodating. Mel the GM, Aaron and Rasheed all very nice. Reading some of the other reviews. Here is some advice. A salesman isn't going to know the history of a car or how "great" it is. He is there to do the leg work and find a car that suits you. Then it's up to you to find out as much about the car as possible. If you don't want to do that, again, then buy brand new. Carlo found me the perfect car at my price point. On my second trip I was there about 3 hours to handle my trade in and the paperwork for my new/used car. Not too bad considering everything that has to be done. I was very happy with the car. They may have made $500 or $5000 on me. Doesn't matter. I got the perfect car for me at a price I was happy with. Again, even car dealers need to make money. They all treated me very well and I recommend them. I hate writing negative reviews, but Bridge Auto may have been the worst thing to happen to me in my adult life. I bought a car through them with a 3rd party warranty on 11/15/18. The transmission was blown by 1/4/19 (my birthday no less). Took it to mechanics to find the car was serviced with the wrong transmission fluid, which voided my warranty. Their negligence allowed them to sell a doomed car to a good faith consumer. Not only does this car need a new $4,000 transmission, but there was $3,000 of other damage to the car. All told this was doubled the value of the car. I offered the chance to do right by me, and they couldn't care any less. No remorse, no help - nothing. Wanting to upgrade my car situation I spent weeks researching models and made a list of dealers with the models I wanted. The first dealer I visited had a sweet-looking Toyota Rav4 but when I popped the hood the engine was filthy and the oil looked like it hadn't been changed in decades. My second stop was Bridge Auto in Berlin, because they had a few Honda Elements and a Lexus RX300 which were both on my list. The first impression is of a very high quality place. The salesroom is modern and spotless, the inventory is all detailed and serviced. I was greeted by Carlo and his sales partner Carlos (yes, Carlo and Carlos), and both were accommodating and helpful, not pushy and very patient, giving me all the time I needed to check out the vehicles. I also had contact with a mechanic and a sales assistant. They were all very nice, and I think it reflects on the owners that they all seemed pretty happy to be working there. I test drove an Element and fell in love with it. Carlos made me a trade offer on my old car that I felt was very fair, and I couldn't be happier. When I started my search I was prepared for an aggravating experience, but Carlo and Carlos were great to deal with and I'd deal with them again in a heartbeat. There were no added fees snuck in at the last minute - they took the time to explain every facet of the transaction upfront so I was totally clear on the exact cost long before I had to sign on the dotted line. Also, the reason they were one of the first places I visited was due to their very competitive pricing. If you're looking for a used car or to trade your old one, check them out. NOTE: If you're buying a Jersey car you should ALWAYS check for rust, especially in areas you can't normally see. Bridge has a hydraulic lift in their shop which means you can ask to have the car lifted for a good look underneath. CAUTION FOR OUT OF STATE BUYERS AND CASH BUYERS. Don't make the mistake I did and fall for the nice treatment. They are very good with that. What they are not good with is selling a vehicle that can pass inspection. Since im an out of state buyer i had to get the car inspected in PA. Problem is check engine light came on 4 days after my CASH purchase. Needless to say it definitely won't pass inspection with a check engine light on. Contacted them and spoke to Ron. I told him the issue and he said they are only responsible for emissions issues not for state inspection and i had to bring the car back to them. I told him that i don't feel comfortable driving back to NJ with light on (according to google, i shouldnt drive the car with that particular error code). Long story short he agreed (over the phone) to allow me to seek repair in PA and give him the invoice, I did (it was an emissions issue) However, I found out that after the repair I still could not get a full inspection until the car was registered in PA. That's when the new issue popped up. They didn't have the title, yes they sold me a car that they didn't have a title for. Took me 2 MONTHS TO GET THE TITLE. After all the back and forth regarding the title they then refused to reimburse me for the emissions issue. Yes, the repair that they said they were responsible for. I was informed that each of the three was not available for sale as they were in the garage area and the dealer wasn't sure if they would be made available or sent out for wholesale auction. Why would you price and advertise vehicles for sale if they are not for sale? Seems like a bait & switch scam to me. I could understand if it was just one unit, but according to the price history on Carfax, one of the vehicles has been there for almost 6 months!
