They've always so good about communicating clearly with the owner and outlining what's going on and what further (if any) is needed. I have been coming here for many years when it began as private practice. I moved but still coordinated visits with the out of state vet. I came to town and inquired about a nail trim for my dog. All I wanted was a nail trim. Danielle up front was loud and no compassion. In a strong time she states that the dog could not be seen because sh lacked an exam and current vaccines. I explained they were just done at the out of state vet and emailed her the records. When the tch camenup to get my dog she even questioned an exam with a nail trim? So I asked her why we had to do that since the records state everything. She said because it's been a while since it was done here. I told her to take me off the schedule and to delete all my records. This is what happens when Corporate takes over all they are worried about monetary goals. Same thing happened to dentistry. Sad sad. I didn't mind paying for my service, but she just had the service done 2 months prior. BTW......my vet out of state doest charge for nail trims if you are am established client. I must admit, at first I was skeptical that they were taking my baby away from me. Especially when I wouldn't be in the room to describe the symptoms and point out all the problems to the vet. However, the tech did a good job when she came to the car and took her from me. Then, must've repeated my concerns to the vet- because when the vet called me on the phone- she addressed my babies needs to a tee. There was one question she missed, but she got most of them... It's always hard rating vet clinics, you are usually there because one of your family who can't speak for themselves is really sick. Therefore, they don't always get the best ratings no matter how great of service they provide. I was pleased with their services. Their prices weren't horrible either. read more

I wanted to try switching to this vet clinic as it is closer to my house, but I was very disappointed and will not be returning. When I first walked in there were three people at the desk and not a single person even looked at me or greeted me when I walked in. I had made an appointment for a specific reason the day before, yet they had no idea why I was there. The vet techs were very rude and did NOT handle my puppy with care. They seemed very judgmental of his breed and acted very unprofessional. The vet, however, seemed very nice and professional. I never received a follow up call checking up on him (like I always do with his other vet). I will not be back. read more

What an Incredible Difference 15 Blocks Makes While I know it to be true of New York, it apparently can also be applied to a small town such as Brighton. My last vet -- 15 blocks up Bridge -- was a nightmare. So I was hoping and praying for a better experience with my first visit to Bridge Veterinary today. Wow. The vet practice knows how to wow a new customer. The front desk lady was extremely friendly and immensely helpful. The female nurse was a sheer delight. And the vet - he was thorough, patient, and gentle with my dog. At no time did I feel we were being rushed out the door. Everything for which I came in was taken care of -- booster shots, other vaccinations, discovery and treatment of a deep-ear infection, and a very free-flowing, high-volume expression of those pesky Pug anal glands. It was a perfect visit, and enjoyable for all. Well, maybe not my dog, but still. So very relieved I have finally found my hometown vet. read more

The staff at this vet clinic were so nice to my partner and I when we had to bring in our dog to be euthanized. When I called they were able to get us in next day at a time that worked for both of us to be there, we were also able to pay before hand which was a huge relief. When we got our boys ashes back they were in a beautiful white urn, they also made us a paw print that came in a nice black case with a beautiful poem. read more

several weeks ago my neighbor dog had a traumatic injury and was severely ill. While communicating with the owner, I rushed him to Bridge Street Vet as this is where their dog was established. I was relieved when I pulled up to the office and the front door was open as I had a 70# dog, seizing and covered in blood in my back seat, with the owner following 5 minutes behind. I was startled when I was "greeted" (and had it made clear I was interrupting their day) by two women to which I quickly explained the situation and that I needed help getting this dog into the office. They noted that they (and the vet) was on lunch and they could not help?!? Wait, what? When will he be back? This dog is an established patient here? You cannot do anything? It was 1:15pm in the afternoon. After taking the time to look the dog up in the files they found he had not been seen in the last year and therefore thy would not see him even if the vet was in..... I could go to a recommended vet 20-30 minutes away or try another local option "but they are all on lunch right now so they won't see you either." The reality was this dog was not going to survive another 30 minutes without care, and I explained that to them as I left to go to my personal vet (Horizons) where I was warmly greeted and immediately seen. This was my first and last experience with this practice who clearly has no compassion for animals in dire need....I would question their commitment to their patients for routine care. My advice, stay away. There are too many compassionate and qualified providers in thee vicinity. read more

These vets there were not very nice at all like all vets it about the money.They we're wrong about everything that my cat was feeling .They told my daughter if she didn't take him to the emergency he would die.1500 to do Sergey because he swallowed some Christmas stuff that was cutting his insides up they made it should bad.They took his blood that was it but thing I didn't like is the was they treated him.They had him down like cops to to people but the they were sticking jabbing the needle in his neck wasn't good all all our cat was feeling it because the vet or whoever didn't know what the hell she was doing!!!Finally they got it .Them they came back said they needed to do it over which is bullshit and guess what instead of sticking him in the room where I can see they did it in another room.what the hell they new I didn't like the way they hurt my cat.I wanted to tell them....but anyway they don't know jack I told my daughter I would take care of him so I gave him some antibiotics, Pedialyte,feed him crushed up vigges and a teaspoon of olive oil and guess what he was all better.so people you were wrong and I don't like your ways of handling pets and oneore thing he ate my dogs food that why he was sick you should know that because he swallowed ear plugs threw them up but he didn't die vets don't know everything people so always believe you can do something before you put them down cuz vets are wrong they just want money.k thanks.try another vet place in Brighton. read more

I took my cat to this place because she had not been eating for about a week or so. The doctor didn't even check her vitals before injecting her with what they said was penicillin. Two minutes later my cat died and they charged me full price. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS BECAUSE NOBODY HERE IS QUALIFIED TO ADMINISTER MEDICINE TO ANIMALS. read more

I brought in my 3yo Great Dane rescue for her first wellness visit yesterday. The staff was unbelievably kind and knowledgeable and took the time to address the dog and I both which made our first visit an easy transition. They were gentle and kind and read over the several pages of notes from the Dumb Friends League where I obtained her last week to be sure she didn't get vaccinations or preventative treatments that were not necessary. DR. Bratteen was patient and understanding with my long list of over-protective questions. He, too, took the time to meet and greet the dog on a pace that was perfect for her. And his gentle hand in drawing blood for a heart worm test made her experience there a positive one which I was most concerned about. I look forward to have Dr. Bratteen and his staff as our Veterinarian going forward. read more

On Thanksgiving Day, my Kitty got very sick with a urinary blockage. I took him to Northglenn Emergency on that evening, where they got him fixed up for the night. Unfortunately, I did not have the $1000 that they required for a more "permanent" solution. I tried calling my regular vet but she was not available. The following day, my mom brought my Kitty in to see you. You may remember my mom from a long-term relationship that you had with her beloved dog, who passed recently after a long bout with diabetes. She took my cat to you, even though I preferred my own vets clinic, because she trusted you and had received such good and loving treatment for her dog. My Kitty had not been to your office before, but your office took VERY GOOD CARE of him and probably saved his life. For that, I will always be grateful. I am writing this letter in part to say thank you for your wonderful treatment, but also to let you know that I have received word that your office staff was EXTREMELY RUDE to my mother, when it came to discussing the bill. Few of us have the disposable income, in this very tough economy, to pay an unexpected major expense such as a vet bill, or even a car repair bill for that matter. Money is tight. While I realize that your office also runs a budget, and it is probably also tight, there was NO NEED for your office to be RUDE, and UNCOMPASSIONATE, and NASTY about the bill. My mother has been a customer of yours for several years, and would NEVER THINK of not paying you. The attitude of your office staff (I think her name is Deena?) was uncalled for and should in my opinion be working for a fly-by-night collection agency, NOT a veterinary service where customer service and compassion and kindness are ABSOLUTELY KEY TO RETURN BUSINESS AND WORD OF MOUTH REFERRALS. If one of my employees behaved that way towards one of my customers, she would be out of a job. Even though I think you are a wonderful vet, I will be taking ALL of my animals elsewhere from this point forward. Further, if anybody ever asks me for a referral, I will certainly send them elsewhere after telling them about my experience. read more

Have been taking our dogs to Bridge Street for years with fairly positive results. However, our dog started vomiting a week ago on a Thursday and we were able to get an appointment same day. Vet gave our dog an injection and 4 days of pills of nausea with no diagnostics done. Our dog had no appetite throughout the weekend. When we called first thing the following Monday morning we were told that no appointments were available until Thursday. When my husband explained that our dog had just been seen there and was no better, receptionist said to either take the Thursday appointment or go to emergency. Since we really were unsure how long we should wait, we asked if the doctor could at least call us. We were then told, with no empathy, that the doctor was out for the day. We finally took our dog to emergency the next morning (Tuesday) and he spent a day in ICU before having emergency surgery for an obstruction in the nick of time. This practice appears to have become more of an assembly line than a caring clinic. Never again!!! read more

The office staff are very very rude and unprofessional!! The techs don't seem to like people or even dogs. They do not interact well with the clients at all! I've called multiple times to get my pets records sent to me either emailed, snail mailed or get on pet portal and it seems impossible. I've called twice and asked twice in person how to get on pet portal and they have to email you an invite which I've never received, she can't mail my records because it's more work, and their email doesn't work half the time (according to the tech). I've also had two appointments and the doc wasn't even there...I don't pay big money for my dogs to be checked out by a vet tech only. Strongly recommend finding another vet! read more

They used to be fantastic, but that began to fall apart when June left. Dr. Redman was ok, but when Dr. Bratten began there, I was thrilled as I felt he was a great vet. That's when June retired. Not long after, Redman retired as well. Last week, when my male cat had a blocked urethra caused by FLUTD, I called to try to get him in and was told by Tina (or maybe Deena) I either had to wait a day or two for an appointment or go somewhere else. After 30 years of taking my furbabies there, including my 4-year-old white girl who lost her battle with cancer two years ago, I've decided that since they no longer care about the welfare of animals and couldn't care less if they die, I'll be transferring the records of all 6 of mine to a different vet. My biggest regret at this moment is that my little girl took her last breath in that building, a place in which no one even cares about animals anymore. read more

If I could give this veterinary less than one star, it would still be too good. My 5 year old dog's 6 teeth were pulled unnecessarily and all I did was bring him in for a dental cleaning. I wasn't called to discuss it and it was just done when I picked him up. AND this vet almost caused him to lose his eye, all from a simple growth removal. The stitches were tied wrong. The pain and suffering this vet clinic caused my dog was atrocious. Do not take your dog to this clinic. They are only in it for your money. They couldn't care less about your pet. They are scam artists. They are also being investigated by the Veterinary Board. I paid nearly $700 for this terrible service and another $250 to another veterinarian to correct their mistake. I was only reimbursed the $250 and did not receive a full refund, which I felt I was completely entitled to. If this veterinarian was a stand-up person, he would have reimbursed me for everything I paid to him. My dog suffered horribly and if his stitches weren't removed immediately, the ulcer they created by rubbing directly on his cornea was within hours of rupturing, causing irreparable damage to his eye. I had never seen my dog actually cry with tears before this and that's when I knew he was in terrible pain and something was terribly wrong. It was horrible to watch him go through this. As far as his teeth are concerned, when I brought him in for the checkup, I was told he had some plaque and that one tooth might be loose and have to come out. Keep in mind, he's only 5. Then, when I picked him up, they pulled almost half of his teeth without calling me to even discuss it. I would definitely have said no and got a second opinion. By the way, they charge you by the number of teeth they extract. Do what's best for your pet and stay away from this business. read more

We have taken our dogs and cats to Bridge St for years. The guy has no people skills. Does not talk much and not that friendly. Just a vet and expensive! Our dog of 14 years just passed away and they were going to charge $392 for the creamation. We called VCA clinic in Thornton and it was $131!!! What a mark up Bridge St does! Your pet has just died and they want to charge you that!!! We get a nice box and a paw print! Never going back to Bridge St! read more
