It lives up to the hype! Just a note if you plan to visit on a weekend there will likely be a line and it will be so worth it! These are some of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. The texture is perfectly soft but not doughy. I can't stand cinnamon rolls that are hard or overbaked and these are not that at all. Probably the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The cream cheese frosting wasn't overly sweet. I also had a sugar glazed one as well. Even that one wasn't overly sweet either. I liked the cream cheese one the best though. The Americano was also pretty good. Owners were nice and friendly. I would definitely come back. Something to keep in mind is this is just a pick up and go spot, not a cafe. Ambiance was nice though. read more

Saw the sign for The Roll one day driving down Race Street, and this morning decided to give it a try. WOW! Cute little bakery with a countertop offering the daily flavors - they had sugar glaze, plain crème cheese, blueberry lemon, pecan caramel and pistachio. They all looked amazing. Got a bananas foster which was absolutely delicious and a Belgian chocolate which was fine. I'm generally a lover of all things chocolate, but the chocolate pudding instead of cream cheese frosting on top just left me feeling like it was missing something. The cinnamon rolls are pretty dense and could benefit from being served warm. I will definitely come back and pop one in the microwave. We arrived around 11:00 am on a Friday morning. There was only one person in front of us in line, but in the time that we were there several more people joined the line. They had 4 different cinnamon rolls to choose from. I decided to try a classic roll with cream cheese icing. There is no seating available, so we walked to Washington Park to eat there. The people in front of us ordered the iced Spanish latte, and it looked delicious. The cinnamon roll was soft and gooey in the best way. The icing didn't have as much of a cream cheese flavor as I expected, but it was still tasty. I would like to return and try one of their specialty flavors. read more

Good little weekend stop for a sweet treat. Biggest complaint was zero spots to stop and eat. They had a single bench out front but it was taken. They do sell coffee and Matcha however I did not try that usually these places niche are the bakery items and not the coffee. So try your at own risk and maybe let me know. The cinnamon rolls are served pretty warm. They travel well they give them to you in A to go box. I wasn't given a bag however two cinnamon rolls seem to fit well in a box. You definitely have to pre-plan because of parking it is downtown but if you go on a Sunday, luckily you don't have to pay the park at 2 PM. Lastly ambience wise it is a small space but once you get there to order your in and out. Be careful because the line could wrap around the corner quickly. SO TASTY! We got there early, at 830am, they open at 9am, by like 8:50am the line was to the next block. The family that runs the restaurant is BEYOND sweet! There were so many choices. Pistachio, Cream Cheese, Sugar Glaze, Carmel Pecan, Bavarian Chocolate, and Lemon Blueberry! They have lattes and matcha, which were both delicious. Their prices are extremely modest in my opinion, with a the rolls being about 3-4 inches in diameter! There is not seating in the inside, but Washington Park is a block away with plenty! Good cinnamon roll, ok flavor. The texture is really fluffy. It taste more like Japanese milk bread than your traditional cinnamon roll. However the icing is lacking. For the amount they charge $6.5 they should pay more icing. Overall it feels more like $4.5 cinnamon roll. But I get it it's OTR and it's a hippy place so the price is higher. read more
