There are no tables inside to eat, so it's primarily to-go, though there are a couple of small tables and chairs outside for dining. I used to LOVE the original Mazunte, but they became a victim of their own success, and I rarely go there any more because the lines were usually out the door. Mazunte Mercado has all the same GREAT food, and you don't have to wait in that long line! Granted, there is no inside dining, but the food's the same, and if you know, you know. I finally found a delicious caldo de pollo! (moved here recently) This is my favorite soup so i was happy to see it offered on the menu. It tasted great, but i will say that the serving size is much smaller than i'm used to from my favorite authentic spot back home. I'd order it again though. The guacamole was okay but tasted more like store bought guac and was very smooth. i prefer fresh chunks of avocado with pico and lime - this was not that. I also don't prefer the tortilla options. You can get 3, 6, or 10 tostadas and they are pricy. I also don't prefer to have to break up my own chips. They tasted ok but i've had better. Would not order the chips and guac again. My bf ordered chicken tacos and steak tacos over rice instead of in tortillas. The flavor of both was good, however he was still hungry after. Overall it was a decent experience but we are in no rush to go back.

I'm from AZ so Mexican food is a must and I'm cooking it more at home now that I've moved here. The butcher was impatient and not super helpful but I got what I needed and the cashier was very sweet. I love the spice aisle. I'll definitely be back to browse those to make a good enchilada sauce. I wish they had a few more marinated meat options but overall I'm happy with the meat selection. But watch out, at peak times certain things like avocados fly out the door fast. You can also find somewhat rare produce like chayote and more well known like cactus, cactus fruit, and Calamondin Limes (this time of year right now). I also love it because they have tons of cuts of meat and the fresh peppers are always cheap. Stop in and surprise yourself with good meat that's fresh and affordable and some other great finds. The only thing I was a little disappointed with, you can only buy a VERY large can of hominy (any kind) no small cans here. I'm speaking restaurant size. I love making pozole but even that may be too much for me. Though technically hominy freezes well and I could recan it into smaller portions. So I may go back and nab some up. I see they also do prepare food but haven't gotten any of that myself. So not sure how to order that, but I never spend more than 15 minutes in the grocery. Although they have an interesting menu that includes pupusas (El Salvador) and huaraches, the food itself was less than nothing special. Fairly or not, I judge a Mexican restaurant by the refried beans and rice. In this case, the beans were grey and bland, and the rice was unexceptional. In fact, both arrived at our table cold, really cold, like refrigerator cold. It is important to note, that the prices are incredibly high. A single quesadilla without rice and beans was $14.00. Same for a huaracha. I also must agree with the other reviewers. We have been to taquerias all over Cincinnati and this was certainly the most uninviting for gringos. I do speak Spanish, but that made little difference. The service was terrible, the other clients were clearly miffed at our presence and, as others note, it took much longer than it should have to bring the food out, and then, it was cold. This might be a decent take-out place, where you bring the food home and warm it up, but, otherwise, it is not the joyous, welcoming experience of, say, Taqueria Mercado, or El Gran Valle Verde in Hamilton. But, that's ok, for the majority of the Spanish speaking people at Valle Verde III, it was clear that they were happy to be there among their friends and there should be places where their comfort is more important than mine.
