A few friends and I had just arrived in our Airbnb and we were looking for something to eat for dinner. We found Bridgette Bar within a 3 minute walk from our accommodation and were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I'm not quite sure why, but I wasn't expecting much from the food in Canmore. I knew this area was all about the nature and hiking (the sole reason why we were in the area). We had ordered a few plates based on our liking as well as recommendations from our server which included the salmon crudo, garlic bread, zucchini, eggplant fries, mushroom pizza, and halibut. Every dish was great!! I loooved the garlic bread that was stuffed with cheese and maybe the eggplant fries and mushroom pizza were a close second - it was hard to decide which dish was the best! Order a beer with any of these dishes and it makes for a great night with friends. read more

The Canmore location of Bridgette Bar is amazing. The vibes are immaculate, spacious, warm, welcoming and perfect for groups of all sizes. The menu is setup for sharing, so you can try lots of different small plates. The garlic bread is a MUST with its incredibly soft cheesiness inside and crispy exterior. Although the chicken dish doesn't look appetizing, it was amazingly moist and sliced perfectly for sharing. The green beans were good but had a slightly unexpected flavour that wasn't everyone's favourite. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, adding to our overall amazing experience. read more

We visited Banff National Park for our 15th Anniversary from California and decided to have a night cap here. We were seated at the chef's station, and started chatting. Even though we were full from dinner and refused dessert, the chef insisted on gifting us delicious banana pie for our anniversary. We were touched and will definitely be back if we return to Canada! Very lively and energetic bar/restaurant and obviously popular with locals as well as visitors, as we saw lots of people greeting each other. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good -- not as great as we were expecting, given the price point and other reviews. My husband didn't care for his wood-roasted cod with rutabaga and chunks of brioche in a saffron kind of sauce ; I enjoyed the maple BBQ trout, though. (Mine came with creamed kale and potato mash that he helped finish.) our side of roasted Brussels sprouts was huge; the greens were covered in some kind of bacon foam that we weren't crazy about. We would eat here again, but order differently. Tip: Avoid being seated near the outdoor section (yes, people are eating outside under heat lamps). The door was opening and closing constantly -- at one point it was actually propped open for about 10 minutes, letting cold air flow in. When we initially tried to get to the Bridgette Bar earlier in our trip, but alas, the place was closed for a function... Thankfully, we were able to make it back on our last night of our trip. The place is cool --- but thankfully, not "too cool" as they would have never let me in --- nicely decorated, modern and upscale, but again thankfully not too much for simple folk such as me... We wanted a special meal for our last night in Canmore, and the Bridgette Bar did not disappoint. The potato appetizer ("Crispy Smashed Potatoes" ) that I sampled off of a friend's plate (don't tell her!) was just plain wonderful, and the pizza that my lovely wife and I ordered (Margherita) was fancy, but not too fancy, and thankfully, very tasty and well-cooked! And yes, as a former New Yorker, I am an absolute confirmed pizza snob. You can see the chefs via the open kitchen, and man, you could see they were working hard, and you could sure taste it in the the quality of their cooking! Tiffany, our server, was great --- she kept our glasses full, answered our questions about the area (who would win the fight if both towns were fifty foot robots: Camore or Banff?, etc.), and made sure that the last meal our little group had in Canmore was Top Shelf! I am not a foodie, but have to say that this was the perfect place to have a very tasty, very special meal with some very special people! read more

Poor management and communication. We had a party of 13 and were told it would be a 2 hour wait. So we said, ok, call us when it's our turn to be seated. 2 hours later, we went back to the restaurant and suddenly, they could not accommodate our party and the full menu was closed to us. None of this was communicated to us when we initially spoke to them for our party. And hostess said we should've known that there was supposed to be a fixed menu for our large party with a deposit. How could we know this? A group of 13 women from out of the country trying to have a nice dinner together, only to be treated disrespectfully. Unbelievable. They finally sat us with their small menu, but to be honest we all got up and left. This experience left such a terrible taste with us. So thanks for that on our last night. read more

We had a fantastic dining experience tonight at Bridgette. Our waitress was so lovely and helpful. She did a wonderful job explaining the menu to us and she provided excellent recommendations for us. Everything we ate was delicious. The margarita pizza was INCREDIBLE. We're huge pizza fans and the margarita was one of the best pizzas we've ever had. The farm chicken was so moist and the fries it came with were delicious. The garlic bread and eggplant fries were both delicious and a good size for an appetizer. Genuinely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. We visited Canmore for 3 days and were lucky enough to find this place the first day in town. We went back every single day we were in town and we're equally blown away each night!! Better than most Michelin star restaurants I've been to. on September 9th, 2024 we visited the Bridgette Bar in Canmore. when we arrived, we were warmly greeted and seated at our table. I was so surprised at the beautiful atmosphere. I loved the open kitchen concept also. Our server, Kaitlyn, was a breath of fresh air. She was engaging and funny. She was prompt and always checking on us even though she had many tables to tend to. The food was unbelievable! So delicious with such a variety of different flavours. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant and all their lovely staff! Great job! read more

This is the "to-go" spot in Canmore. Came to Canmore for 5 days and spent 3 of them at the Bridgette. Atmosphere, services, quality of food was fantastic. Special shout out to the team of Jonah, Brendan, Gabby and Alex for making us feel like part of the team (Gabby & Alex, thanks for securing the couches for us near the fire). You guys went above and beyond. Let's not forget the 2-5pm Happy Hour half price beverages (any) and the half price pizzas. These pizza's compare to some of the best I have had in Italy. The food is mid at best. They try hard but every dish feels a little off, just not that great. It may be a peak season thing but they have an odd wait list/reservation system that deters as there is only a 4 seat bar and two lounge couches that also "have to be reserved" so no where to wait or hang out. Even the guests are overly pretentious and if they are not seated immediately become upset and hover over the hostess stand, they prolly mow through their hostesses as it is very stressful for them. read more

I have been to Bridgette Bar in Calgary and was pleasantly surprised and definitely not disappointed. The Bridgette in Canmore was very well received. Great food, great service thank you Camilla. The restaurant is much larger than the Calgary location. Very tastefully decorated and lots of seating inside and on the patio. Love the sliding doors so you can enjoy the fresh air and get the feeling of expansiveness. Beautifully decorated with modern interiors and decor. Needless to say clean and presents beautifully. Ordered the Wild Mushroom Pizza-Morel mushrooms, Green Onions, Arugula and Goats Gouda. Absolutely delicious. Ordered Caesars and Easy Day-Grapefruit, honey, Rose and Blck Tea. Drinks were reasonable and hears a tip between 2-5 is Happy Hour on selected food items and drinks. Now how's that for incentive. Staff were amazing and Camilla so made our meal conversation entertaining, informative and fun. I am definitely going to be talking this location up and hardly can wait to go again. read more

Cool space in a strange location, which was hard to find and tough to park..they have underground parking, but no one told us. We were seated in a bad spot, right behind the hostess stand, so we didn't feel part of the room. Wife ordered a pizza, which had very little cheese and very little taste. During our recent trip to Banff we stumbled upon Brigette in Canmore. What a find! We sat in the heated patio, which was comfortable. Our server Taylor was helpful and just the right amount of solicitous! My husband and I split the broccoli salad with dukkah and burrata with jalapeños and pesto for appetizers - both were delicious! We each had a pasta for a main course and they were also quite good. Portions were quite generous and we really liked the ingenious ingredients that were combined in all of our dishes. On an extremely hot day, staff kept trying to seat us (party of five with reservations & two elderly) in the sun which we refused. Still we were sweating in the semi shade at 5:30 at 95 degrees. Our first night in Canada & we ventured to Brigette's Bar as it was right across the street from our condo. We didn't have a reservation on a Thursday night at 7 so we sat in the lounge area rather than wait 45min for a table. FYI- There were several empty tables that never had anyone seated while we were there. That was a bit annoying. Nonetheless, we had a fabulous server Laura who recommended great food & made our dinner very enjoyable. I had the grilled farm chicken that was both tender & delicious. It was also a huge portion that could have fed 3 people. The chicken sausage was flavorful without being too spicy & the fries with garlic aioli were delicious! I also shared the wood grilled zucchini & wood grilled green beans with my friends. Both sides were huge portions & delicious! One friend ordered the margherita pizza, which she thought was fine but not great. My other friend ordered the potato & ricotta ravioli & they were amazing. Super soft/light texture & a great comfort food! The express martini I had was one of the best! I wish we had eaten here more than once as other restaurants in the area were not as good as Brigette's. read more

The table ordered the Brussel sprouts & French fries to start then ordered the steak, chicken and the Margherita pizza. The tables' favorite was the chicken w/ the chicken sausage. Visiting family in Canmore and we asked for a dinner date night suggestion. Bridgette Bar was a top suggestion. I'm glad we picked it. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. The hubs and I shared an appetizer, salad, beef strip with broccolini and an order of carrots. To finish the night we ended with the banana cream pie, it was decadent but so worth the calories. The plates were big enough to share and I wouldn't have been able to drink more then 2 glasses of the Eat, Apres, Love drink I had, highly recommend. We sat in the covered patio and for me being from Texas it was a little chilly but as soon as a warmer table became available a gentlemen offered us a table in the center of the heat so I wouldn't be cold. I never mentioned being cold to the waitress or anyone, this gesture came directly from the worker and I was really impressed. It showed that they paid attention and wanted to make sure I was comfortable enough to enjoy my meal. I enjoyed my dinner date night. This restaurant was perfect for a lovely evening with my husband.
