This place is stunning! The holiday decor is gorgeous but mostly I need you to know the FLAVORS are amazing! We had the lime zest popcorn, the fries, the dragon bowl, a salad, the holiday deviled eggs, and the halloumi chorizo bites and a round of shafts made our meal! Everything had a layer of flavor and it was totally worth it for we four foodies. Do not walk past this place!
Decided to stop by after walking around the area to grab some dinner and got lucky for a table outdoors without reservations. The indoor space looked really cute but I was open to just getting a spot to try their menu after reading some reviews. The outdoor space was actually really nice as it was covered and a nice breeze! As for food I tried the fried cheese, nicoise salad, and short rib pasta. You can't go wrong wit the deep fried cheese and the marina sauce was tasty. The salad was also savory and was a lighter option to the entire meal. Lastly, the short rib pasta to end the meal and it did not disappoint. I was a little worried since I am not the biggest fan of horseradish but it worked well with the flavors and was rich without being too heavy. They also have a nice assortment of cocktails to try to pair well with your meal.
Came here for a drink while in town. 90% full Saturday night. Lots of fun expensive cocktails! I tried the Strange Magic: 7/10. Very strong alcohol taste. Small portion. About what you would expect for a tourist town and a nice cocktail. $16. Brother tried the Hot Apple Cider. It tasted as expected if you like apple cider. Staff were kind enough not to push food but also check in on us regularly.
This spot is amazing! It's cozy, moody and feels welcoming the second you walk in the door. It's small, so plan ahead and/or get there early. I had an old fashioned with the steak frites. I've been thinking about the steak and the sauce since I left. Wow. What a special spot in Canmore! Check it out.
Our first stop in downtown Canmore. Stunning views 360°. We ate outside and then did also go inside at the bar and loved the decor and the fun 80s music! Serious vibes, and delicious cocktails appetizers, and meal. Everyone was extremely friendly and hard-working. I would absolutely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for good drinks and food! it was casual and perfect way to ease into my trip to Canmore/Banff.
This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. There were no reservations available and we waited around 45 minutes to be seated. It was ok since we could walk around the town, but if we were short on time, dinner here definitely wouldn't have worked out. The meal started out on a high with the hummus dish and chimichurri potato dish. We loved both so much since the flavors were unique and were surprisingly very good. The short rib pasta and steak frites were ok, nothing to rave about. I was a little disappointed since they were the main dishes and people had good reviews. The most disappointing was the calamari. As an appetizer, we were confused about why it came out last and quite a while after everything else had been served. I didn't enjoy the strong curry flavor in the breading of the calamari. Overall I was really excited in the beginning. I think some of their dishes have a lot of potential, but felt like I was let down throughout the meal. I would still recommend people to come check it out, but would suggest coming early to avoid dinner rush!
So good we came here twice during our trip. This is by far the best food and drinks we had while in Canmore. I tried 4 different cocktails + my friends tried different ones and all were great. My fave was The Night Owl, which is their take on the espresso martini. So so good. Food was also delish - we tried 8 or so different dishes (served tapas style). The duck wings were probably my fave. My friends really liked the calamari. Service was friendly and it has a very homey vibe. This is a must in Canmore if you like good cocktails and food, with a casual (but more upscale than some of the other spots in Canmore) vibe.
We enjoyed some delicious eats at Where the Buffalo Roam. I ordered the soup of the day, Garlic and dill soup and it was so hearty and tasty, the dill freshness really stood out. The Wagyu burger was delicious and you also need to try the duck wings, meaty and tasty and not overcooked or dry. Protip! Get the "Thai One On" cocktail made with Thai chili, lemongrass, ginger, vodka, lime and aquafaba - it was delicious!
We popped in here tonight after a long day of driving from Lake Louise. Our Airbnb host recommended the spot and I'm glad that they did. I definitely enjoyed the craft cocktails, and the attention to details. There was so many I wanted to try. My wife ordered a drink and it was really strong. Felt bad for her haha. We ordered the duck legs and my wife normally doesn't eat duck but she devoured them! I enjoyed them as well. We shared the dragon bowl because the description was interesting and it said sweet potato glass noodles, when they came out and we tried it and I was like oh it taste like Japchae Korean noodles! The flavor was really good and it had a little nice kick of spiciness to it. Adding crispy tofu is a plus! Overall, really cool date spot and the vibe is pretty chill. Service was great. read more

My friend and I stopped at this cocktail bar for a nightcap before heading back to the hotel. Where The Buffalo Roam Saloon is conveniently located on the Main Street of Canmore with plenty of street parking. The interior definitely had a country flair. The bartenders were friendly and highly recommended the tea pot vodka, which I ordered. It was delicious, sweet, and tasted of honey vanilla, lemon, and lavender. All the ingredients came together beautifully into a memorable cocktail. read more

Got the street corn dip and burger. The burger was one of the best burgers we've ever had. Everything on the menu also looked really good. Service was fast and outdoor dinner was nice on a summer day. Didnt have enough time to come back but would definitely recommend going here read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant impromtply for dinner and it was an excellent experience! A plate of art that tasted amazing, friendly service that's also dog friendly and the price isn't crazy high as it is in Banff. Also has a great selection of cocktails! I ordered the beef short rib pasta, which was so pretty! The beef was tender, the pasta was buttery and the cherry tomatoes and green garnish gives it some colour! The cheesecake was also delish. The presentation was in a terranium cup with deconstructed cheesecake with crumble pieces at the bottom, layered with cream cheese, whipped tonic and some blackberries on top. Would recommend if you're in the area! Heads up that they serve until 9:45pm and don't allow minors in after 6pm read more

A surprise stumble on a rainy Monday due to another restaurant closure. So so glad we came here to meet Ginger, our wonderful, knowledgeable, and super friendly server. The drinks are original! We LOVE the Teapot Vodka (earl grey infused vodka), we ordered it twice! Another fav was the Thai One On (strong kaffir leaf which we loved!) Food? We thoroughly liked every single dishes but of course there are favorites... cream of mushrooms, steak frites, and grilled cauliflowers!! Ahh maybe we'll make another visit before we end our trip? read more

We stopped by for a late lunch after a long day of biking in Banff. The menu was small but delicious. I really enjoyed my short rib pasta and my family enjoyed their burgers. I didn't try any cocktails but they looked great too. Would definitely recommend when in Canmore! read more
We absolutely loved this place! We happened to randomly walk by and decided to stop in for dinner and then ended up coming back for a second time during our trip because we loved it so much!! The elote, bao buns, short rib pasta, and steak frites, and soup were all equally delicious 10/10. If I had to choose one thing it would probably be the short rib pasta. We also enjoyed the old fashioned. The vibe was great and everyone was so welcoming. I wish I had pictures but we inhaled it! read more

We went in for afternoon snacks. It was a nice surprise to find such pleasant and distinct flavors. Recommend the calamari and cauliflower. Duck wings are bit dry and bit too sweet for our taste. read more

Visited this place while in Calgary with limited expectations but wow were we blown away. The food is top notch and so fresh. The tomatoes and burrata are some of the best I've ever had. The cocktails are premier and extremely creative. The ambiance was also fantastic and the presentation for each dish was different. Such a unique dinner experience and highly recommend! read more

The service has always been good everytime we come here. Generally they are quite busy however they do a good job at turning tables fast. The cocktail menu is SO awesome. We have had some of the best cocktails here and they have their own take on them. They even make a creative ceaser which I recommend trying on your Sunday fun day. The brunch and lunch is quite good. On sundays they have brunch until 2pm which is nice if you are a late goer like me. Some of their dishes lack some flavour however that's an easy fix. If you are just strolling dt Canmore I recommend you check this place out. read more

What can I say.. Came here on a Friday and it was amazing! I came with my Mom, my Grandma and my Aunt and there was something each of us liked. To drink my Mom and aunt got wine and I ordered the blackberry mojito. They were out of blackberries so she said instead she could make it with raspberries and it was amazing! My grandma got the white Sangria and it was delicious. She looked on the board and said it is $9 instead of $11 because the sign says so and the owner told us that's from yesterday but she still honoured it because the sign said it which was great! We got delicious deviled eggs to start and for our main meals my mom got duck crepes, I got the roasted red pepper and carrot soup with bread, my grandma got sweet Chili and my aunt got pulled pork sandwich ! Hands down, BEST food and drink we had in town or surrounding areas. The drinks are strong and delicious (but also a ton of virgin or low-alcohol options!) The food is so unique and everything is prepared perfectly. I see some reviews complaining of the price. The way I see it, you can pay for the best food in the area or you can pay almost as much for mediocre or bad food. Good food costs money to make. Highly recommend the steak frites!!! read more

We went here for dinner for a recent trip to Canmore. A party of six who showed up a bit later in the evening for dinner. Despite the small size of the restaurant we were seated immediately. The drinks were fantastic. And the food was unreal. Great service despite a couple indecisive members of our party. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that we weren't notified of the restaurant having run out of a few menu items before we were given our menus to order dinner, otherwise absolutely fantastic. Definitely a nice treat and something you can't get just anywhere. read more
