It is a quiet place with almost everything you need. Post Office. Pharmacy. Save-On Food grocery store, RONA for hardware and home improvement. Fabricland. Pet shop. Several restaurants, Starbucks, Menchies yogurt, banking services (TD and BMO), nail salon, Burger King and more. Now that I know Save-On is here, I have another option besides Safeway from the skytrain station. I like how compact the square is. It is small but it makes it easy to walk from shop to shop. You do not have to traverse a huge parking lot just to get across. It reminds me of Newport Village in Port Moody. I find myself a new place to chill on weekends.

To be honest, we visit each time we're in the area but there's not many stores we would shop at. It's just fun to peruse and window shop here. It is a pretty dated mall but people love it. We tried the food court a few times and the food here is okay but you'll probably do better venturing to eat outside. Overall, a fun place to pass the time and a centre for community.

The ladies at customer service are so friendly and truly amazing people. I've gotten to know most of them on more of a personal level. My favourite spots are Aritzia, Victoria's Secret, Sephora and of course Starbucks for either my Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea. My daughter loves Lego store, Hot Topic, Just Cozy, Aritzia and EB Games. If you haven't been to Guildford Mall then I advise you to go have a look. Happy Shopping

The mall itself has a few anchor tenants such as Best Buy, Walmart, and T&T. Other than that, there's a pretty decent food court and the usual random stores. "half an hour is plenty," i told myself, confidently paying…read more$2.50 for parking. the plan was simple: go to guest services, check on the expiry of my gift cards, and leave. then i walked by the grand court and ooooh, look at how pretty and massive the lunar new year lantern is. the bold red lantern suspended under the glass ceiling, surrounded by oversized pink blooms, was stunning. they even included interesting facts from the chinatown storytelling centre, which made the display feel thoughtful and educational, not just decorative. it was beautiful and absolutely not something you rush past. i tried to stay focused, but this is metropolis at metrotown. as the largest mall in bc and one of the biggest in canada, it offers pretty much everything under one roof. fashion from zara, aritzia, arcteryx, uniqlo and sephora. staples like the apple store and h&m (with an escalator out of order during my visit). daiso. muji. winners and homesense. walmart, the real canadian superstore, t&t, shopper's drug mart, cineplex, banks, bubble tea shops, foreign exchange counters, restaurants and a food court. gone are anchors like hudson's bay and sears, but the variety today is still impressive. it really is a one stop hub. groceries, errands, shopping, entertainment, all convenient and connected directly to skytrain. but here's the thing: malls should not be charging for parking (unless it's downtown). we used to visit this mall a lot. it was an easy, go to destination. since parking fees were introduced, we honestly don't come nearly as often. when you're already planning to shop and spend money, paying just to park feels unnecessary. it changes the whole experience and makes even a quick visit feel calculated. the mall itself still has a great selection of stores and services. it delivers on convenience and variety. i just wish the parking situation didn't take away from that. next time, i'll likely skip the car and take skytrain instead.

Westminster Centre is handy to what has become a very familiar locale for me -- the bus stop on…read more6'th Street at 5'th Avenue, in uptown New West -- it's where I have been getting off and walking over to my eye specialist at the Medical Centre on 5'th Avenue for a good number of years. And over these years, the Centre has become a favourite place to drop into for some browsing and shopping, especially before my morning appointments. At street level, there's a McDonalds restaurant (handy for a breakfast snack if/when the mood catches me), and Care Point Medical Centre at the lower end, and a TD Canada Trust, Starbucks, and London Drugs (opens at 8 am - yeah!!) at the upper end, with Yanni's Greek Restaurant, a barber shop, and a selection of other shops at each end, and in-between. The New West office of the Retina Surgical Associates is located on the second floor of the upper end (have been there, done that a couple of times). And a big plus, there are two, good-sized levels of under cover, no-charge parking -- great when arriving by personal vehicle, and requiring sufficient parking time to cover longer medical appointment, and such. A Buy-Low Foods supermarket used to be located at the lower end of the Mall, but I recently read on the internet it has now permanently closed. No particular loss for me, I always found offerings at that store very over-priced, and seldom purchased anything there. But sure hope for the sake of local shoppers, that something moves into the location before too long, to help bolster their food shopping potentials in the area. A stop into the Westminster Centre has become a significant and fun part of my travel routines to New West, especially when heading there for my eye, and related medical appointments.

Because of their policy, no exchange or return, they wouldn't give me back the money. I asked why they sell broken goods in the first place. They are currently making profit on goods they sell broken and refuse to compensate. I was told there's nothing they could do and contact the company. Don't buy firm Dollarama unless you don't mind giving them your money for broken items.

The food was laid out so picturesque at some stalls as well. Everything was very much made fresh to order as well. The facility itself is fairly clean and the restrooms seem to be serviced regularly. I do wish the entrances smelled less like cigarettes but they can't really control what goes on outside and the way that it wafts inside.
