I went to a junkyard to get a single tire to replace one of mine that had an irreparable leak. I asked Mr. Tire to mount and balance the new tire on the passenger side. Nobody there was wearing a mask, customers or employees. I decided not to wait there because I didn't feel safe and had to walk around until a restaurant would let me wait inside across Washington pike. A week later, I now realize they put the tire on the wrong side and I am still driving on the leaking tire. They threw away the tire that they replaced. They completely wasted my time and money and are putting customers at risk by going maskless and not enforcing any sort of COVID safety procedures for customers or employees. read more

AVOID.AT.ALL.COSTS. They DRASTICALLY overcharge you for parts. I was charged almost $1000 for brake pads and rotors (just the parts, not including labor and service). $280 for brake pads for all 4 tires and $700 for 4 rotors ($175/rotor). That would be ok if I owned a cement truck, but I own a 2011 Subaru Legacy. On the Autozone and Advance Auto websites (using the exact same part # that MR.Tire referenced), brake pads for all 4 tires price about $70 ($35/set), and one rotor is only about $75. Doing the math, I can purchase all of those parts for my car at $370 and as compared to the $980 charged by Mr Tire. That is an upcharge of $610 just by how they price their parts. I'm not saying they should charge at the break-even point, but it also should definitely NOT be an upcharge of 250%. Avoid Mr.Tire and go to an establishment whose prices are competitive and fair. read more

It was the worst experience. The system at the Mr Tire was down so I agreed to run around and pick up the parts which were just a battery and a converter. The first day I was able to get the battery but when I went to the auto zone they told me to go to they had not heard from the garage but did order the part, but it would not be in till the next day. The next day picked up the part from auto zone and delivered to Mr Tire, but it seems it was the wrong converter. Returned to part to Auto Zone and MrTire said they would order the part since their system was working. Told part would be in around 1:30. When I called around 2 the part was not there and so they said it would be there later in the afternoon. Needless to say the part arrived the morning of day four of the issue. This would not be so bad but I was told it would only take a day and there was no communication from the garage, I had to be the one to make the phone call. The people who work there are nice and friendly but management lacks a lot of skill. I said hold it for me, showed up a few hours later during a steeler game luckily no one was there and got my tired swapped out in about 20 minutes if that. Talked with Tyler whose very nice and you can tell they're people people there and it's a nice business to go to and not feel like you're being talked to by a professional salesman. Everyone was personable I met and they were quick and fair about the business, I highly highly recommend them for any needs they will take care of you as a human being not another car to make money on. I have brought 4 vehicles to this location as it is relatively close and in the past I have had OK (not great, but OK) experiences. I'm finally done. This past visit, to once again get new tires mounted and balanced, was atrocious. I had set up an appointment and showed up right on time. They immediately began work on my vehicle. This is where I became concerned. The person tasked to do the work appeared completely flummoxed as to how to deal with the wheel locks on my vehicle. I tried to pretend this was a non-issue and focused on ignoring what was going on. This was probably a mistake. Two hours later the work was complete. Yes... 2 hours to mount and balance. I spent the time in the parking lot to get the TPMS back functioning (they did not do this) in the vehicle and then departed, wondering why the individual working on my vehicle was carefully watching me from the bay. I figured this out a half-hour. Once back home I found that the job of mounting the tires was just sloppy. Tire goo (sealant?) was everywhere.. rims, tires, everywhere. Whatever, I knew it would clean up. More disconcerting were the scratches on the rims. Yes, it appears that they use a screwdriver to simply try to pry the old weights off. It's not greatly noticeable as these are on the inside of the rim, but these are nice rims. I would expect more care to be taken. Again, no big deal. Finally, I look for the wheel lock key. Nope. Not in the car. Hey, sometimes these things happen. They probably shouldn't at a place that does this all day long, but maybe I'm just unlucky. I call (remember, this is 30 minutes after the appointment) and am told "Nope, we don't have it." What? What do you mean? You just removed and put the tires back on?! I explain that "I'm sure you'll find it. Please call when you do." Fast forward a month. I call back and ask about the wheel lock key (as I find out replacing them is a pain, but not too expensive) and am told, YES, they have found a key. Actually, they have 3! Stop by and they'll figure out which is mine. Great... what kind of tire place that knows what they're doing can collect three of these in a month? Regardless, I stop by the next morning (on my way to get my car serviced) and it all becomes clear. We find the key that fits after some work. I say this because the "manager" kept trying it out but ALL of the keys just kept spinning. Finally he realized that one did actually fit and give it to me. Confused, I try it out and find the problem and the only answer I can surmise. The individual who did my tires lost the key sometime DURING the change and couldn't tighten the locks. So, rather than tell me this they search for an hour (or more) and do not locate the key. They put the tires back on the car, hand-tighten the wheel locks, and send me on my way as if nothing has happened. I was amazed. When confronted, the "manager" shrugged and walked back inside. Fast forward again to today (3 months or so). I go to my car dealership for a typical service and they get me after 15 minutes and show me that the tires are actually installed BACKWARDS. They are clearly labeled INSIDE and OUTSIDE on each tire, yet all four are showing INSIDE on the outside. Another $88 to get them remounted. Really, this has reached epic proportions of negligence. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hole like the plague. read more

Customer Service here had dropped off drastically in the last year. I had been taking 3 cars here for years, no more. Dropped a wheel and tire off for road hazard repair and replace a valve stem/TPMS 3rd week in June. Wasn't in a hurry, went back in 3 weeks later to check on it expecting it to be done. No one had a clue what the deal with it was. The manager that I dropped it off with never told anyone what needed to be done. Current manager says he can get it done in 30 minutes. Run across the street and return, they notice the bulge in the sidewall (warranty claim!). Said they need to order the tire. Wait 2 more weeks and still no calls. Stop in again to see and they say they are having a hard time getting the tire. They'll order it from BF Goodrich direct and let me know. 2 more weeks, stop in again and it's still not done... That was today. Told tire came in 2 days ago. They make excuses for why it's not done. Told them I'm done bringing my care here and he says, I quote, "that's fine". That's fantastic customer service and way to keep a customer that had been going to this store for probably a decade. read more

Spoke with Eric on the phone--told him I needed a flat tire repair which I had a tire hazard warranty purchased with a local dealership--That dealership is closed on Saturdays. I also explained to Eric I was calling because I had an appointment at NTB earlier in the day and upon my arrival they REFUSED to fix my tire with this warranty. Frustrating because before going to NTB (Bethel Park) I called the 800 # for the warranty company and was told I can choose any shop for the repair. Mr. Tire and Eric said they would be happy to fix my tire and honor my warranty service--I set an appointment with Eric for 5:30p., Saturday (same day I called). I arrived about 15 minutes early--they were busy in the shop, lots of cars, but I left Mr. Tire at 5:51p.!! In and out quickly! Eric and another counter person were behind the counter--happy, personable, professional--glad for the customers--unlike NTB--not busy, counter people standing around at NTB--whereas Eric and his other counter guy were non stop answering the phone, helping a technician find a certain size tire in their stock room as the computer/inventory indicated they had one for another customer, they were in and out of the bays helping the technicians and customers--Mr. Tire was outstanding customer service and good service in regards to my tire! I will go back-- I received a receipt to file my warranty claim as well as the nail that punctured my tire--total cost was a bit over $27! NTB could not be bothered! I paid Mr. Tire and they wished me Happy Holidays-- Excellent service! They also fixed the tire from the inside--not just a cheap plug that would not hold in the long run--properly fixed--from the inside of the tire--also received an itemized receipt--and tire rebalanced-- After a bad experience and wasted time at NTB--I was grateful for great,nice, & quick service--It was a long day, waking up at 7a. to a flat tire, AAA coming to get tire off and put spare on, making an appointment at NTB, showing up and losing an hour of time with NTB--told by NTB to go elsewhere--checked two other shops at 1:30 and was told too busy--Mr. Tire was happy to set an appointment, happy to see me upon arrival, happy to do their job at almost closing time on a Saturday--so the day was long but ended on a nice note thanks to Mr. Tire company & the awesome employees--Thank you. read more

Be ready for a long wait, even if you have an appointment. I sat around waiting for an hour before they even took my car into the garage. They seem to be chronically understaffed. Then, the computer said they had two tires in stock, but when they went back to the storage area, they weren't there. I had to wait another half hour before they were delivered from another location. I bought two tires, and John, the guy at the front desk advised me to put the new tires on the back of my front-wheel drive car. This was a big mistake, as I spun my wheels trying to get up a mild incline on Cochran Road after it rained. John obviously didn't know what he was talking about. I took my car to the Honda dealer and had to pay $14 to get my new tires switched around to the front, where I had originally asked to have them mounted. I have used Mr. Tire in Bridgeville for my three cars over the past 3-4 years for tire purchases and state inspection with satisfaction. However, most recent tire purchase was very unsatisfactory. Although tires had 50,000 mile warranty (failed state inspection at 24, 000 miles of usage), they would not honor warranty as they stated car may have needed alignment. So ordered two new front tires at normal price. Although I was told that they could not perform an alignment on Mercedes Benz due to requirement of special equipment, they fraudulently attempted to charge my wife for an alignment they did not perform ($104.99) and added unauthorized charges of Road Hazard Coverage ($25.98 for two tires), and charged $59.98 to mount and balance two tires. Although I feel I was taken advantage of, I will not tolerate dishonesty. Will not use this store again.. BUYER BEWARE AND CAREFULLY EXAMINE YOUR BILL PRIOR TO PAYMENT. read more

Just got back from the shop after coming back again to fix the same problem. I came next day in the morning expecting them to fix it for free assuming that mechanic has missed something the first time, however service manager was asking if I have an appointment and agreed to do me a favor to take a car. After waiting for 2 hours the car was taken and I was asked if I agree to pay again for the same job otherwise the will let me go. So I did not have a choice as to pay again. When asked for manager name was given only initials JP. I do repairs in my car in different locations but never had so bad experience. Unbelievable unqualified and dirty job. The location is dirty too. I believe that this location is discredited a name of Mr. Tire. I fill sorry for people who scheduled or are going in the future to that location. I would not recommend it. I don't go anywhere else for my oil changes. I have been a customer since I moved to the South Hills in 2012 and I have never had a problem. They're always very friendly and I appreciate that a lot. What made me feel the need to review this time is my last visit there, it was so great, David who works the register and answers the phone was very friendly and helpful. I thought I needed a new air filter, he took the extra initiative to call advanced auto down the road, since they didn't have it in stock, and asked to have it ready for me to install it for me, which I thought was really nice! Also, I've never experienced "nickel and diming", which is something I've always been weary about since I am a female. One time they took me into the garage and showed me what was wrong so I knew what they were talking about and gave me the options and prices, but I never felt as though they were pressuring me to purchase services or parts from them or charging me unfairly. I have been taking my car to Mr. Tire in Bridgeville for the past two years and have always given this business 5 stars. I called to set up an appointment for an oil change with my normal mechanic Emmitt on Saturday but was told to just drop it off in the morning and it would take an hour. When I dropped my car off I was told Emmitt was off that day. Management said it would be a few hours and they would call me when finished. I still had not received a phone call by 3:30 p.m. When I called the manager told me they haven't brought it into the garage yet but I'm up next and it would be finished by 5:30 p.m. and they would call me. I still did not receive a phone call back when I went to pick my car up at 6:00 p.m. Considering it took over 7 hours to complete an oil change you would think they would have the decency to call me and tell me they were finished. I heard 3 other individuals in the waiting room stating they had been waiting over 3 hours + for an oil change. Seriously if you don't have the time or staff to complete a 1 hour job maybe you should tell your customers that instead of making them wait for 7.5 hours for an oil change.
