They worked around my schedule on short notice to find what would work for me, which I was honestly amazed by. He actually cares, and practices with great integrity. Never had any uncomfortable or painful experience when VS Dental handled my teeth. I asked him for more work and he could have easily said yes (and did it like my previous dentists did) but he suggested I don't do as the cosmetic work I inquired about would ultimately be harmful and require more costly repairs/upkeep down the road. He said my teeth are healthy and fine so why mess that up! I've been to dentists that jumped at doing these types of cosmetic procedures (usually their suggestion) since they break down over time but never did they mention that it damages your teeth in the process. I have good insurance and it being the first time the bill was over $150. I paid it and went on my merry way. 6 months later they hounded me to come in for a cleaning. That ended up with them telling me that they needed to take an xray with the cleaning. With the doctor spending no more than maybe 5 minutes with me both visits and out another $120. Now to today, I walk in to the front desk, the first I spoke to was a bit rude and tells me that I have to pay my co-pay up-front of $210 for a cleaning? and xrays that the insurance covers. Telling me the insurance only covers 50%. No they only cover 50% of your inflated prices. This place is a money mill, they dont really care about their patients only how much money they can get out of them.

She went through every issue with my teeth thoroughly and patiently, showing me my x rays and imaging. However, when I called my insurance provider myself after the appointment, I was told they had no record of that conversation, and the information I received from the office did not match what my insurance explained to me. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but after what happened to me at this office, I feel…read moreobligated to warn other patients. I originally came in for a routine cleaning that was covered by my dental insurance before my sister's wedding. Instead, I was immediately told I couldn't have a regular cleaning and that I had to get a deep cleaning instead. It felt like a bait-and-switch from the very beginning. I initially refused because I only wanted the preventive cleaning I came in for, but after enough pressure, I eventually agreed. After the deep cleaning, the office instructed me to return every three months for maintenance cleanings instead of every six months. I trusted their professional judgment and followed every recommendation they gave me. Three months later, I returned for my scheduled maintenance cleaning, and everything went as expected. Another three months later--approximately six months after my original deep cleaning--I returned for the next maintenance cleaning that they had scheduled. They administered approximately six to eight anesthetic injections because they knew I have severe dental anxiety. My entire mouth was completely numb, I could barely speak, and I was ready for the cleaning to begin. Only then did the office manager, Maria, come into the room and tell me they were not going to perform the cleaning I had been scheduled for. Instead, I was told I needed another deep cleaning and would have to pay approximately $2,000 before they would do anything. I was sitting in the dental chair, completely numb, unable to speak clearly, drooling from the anesthesia, and being told that unless I agreed to spend thousands of dollars, I would receive no treatment at all. I asked Maria to let me speak with the staff member who had treated me during my previous visits because they knew my history and had been involved in my previous treatment. I was told everyone was too busy and no one would come speak with me. I left without receiving any treatment after enduring multiple injections for absolutely nothing. I have never felt so humiliated in a healthcare setting. I walked into that office trusting the people treating me and walked out feeling pressured, embarrassed, and completely defeated. The experience destroyed the trust I had built with that office and has made me genuinely afraid of going to another dentist. Patients deserve honesty. Patients deserve to know what treatment they're receiving and what it will cost BEFORE needles go into their mouths--not afterward, when they're already numb and vulnerable. If this is how patients are treated after following every recommendation the office makes, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.
