Since my husband has been coming here, they have done a great job. His brothers, cousins, and some friends also come here and their haircuts look really good. It would be 5 stars if they took reservations!! Please consider this, Brigade! That way, customers can see the same person and/or get in. Best barbershop in AZ I've been to period. I live in Tucson now and still drive up to Phoenix for my haircuts here. Tim and Eddy are my go to guys, but honestly they are all very skilled barbers who know exactly what they're doing and are also really good guys in general. Was in town to pick up my daughter from ASU and was in dire need of a hair cut. So I looked up some places on Yelp and found this place with great reviews. It is a cool little place with a hip, yet patriotic decor, which I really appreciated. Great customer service and nice conversation. I would go here routinely if I lived in the area and will go here again when I am in town. The place is kind of small. So I suggest you book your reservation early. I really enjoyed my experience with Brigade Barbershop today. I've gone to a few different barbers in the area and had decent cuts, but usually I feel like i'm being rushed so they can move on to the next client. Brigade had many great reviews and was close enough that I could get a cut on my break. I booked an appointment online, showed up a few minutes early, and had maybe 2 minutes to wait before I was seated. My barber today was Alex, and he was friendly, personable, professional, and most of all I felt like I was a long time client of this barbershop. Local, convenient, lots of good reviews, but, after waiting 10 minutes beyond my appointment (while watching three barbers chatting with each other next to empty chairs), I bailed. My friend, who had rather longish hair, asked for an inch and a half off the top. He was left with less than that... If you're into places where the attitude seems to be "we're awesome and you're lucky to be here", enjoy. I rushed here after work and got here 30 minutes before closing time (5:30p). They had a "sorry we're full sign" taped to the door and the closed sign up. Not good business! There were 2 people waiting, but 3-4 barbers working. They could have easily accepted more customers before closing time. One barber even made eye contact with me through the window and just let me walk away with sheer disappointment on my face!! I've heard of closing up 5-10 minutes before closing time, but 30 minutes?! That's just bad business! I'll go find somewhere else more accommodating. If you say you close at 6pm, honor it! read more

Aaron is super chill and has a calm demeanor which makes the whole experience that much better. They take their time to make sure they get your cut right. This is the exact kind of barber shop I've been looking for. You can tell these guys are honing their craft each time another Joe jumps in their chair and they enjoy their work. They've done a great job of creating a place where a guy wants to go to get a cut and shave; it's a great take on the modern barber shop with an edgy, nostalgic feel. Eddy cut my hair and several times he stopped what he was doing to slowly turn my chair and look at how my hair looked in the mirror throughout the cut. Just moved here from VA and have been searching for a barber who can do a solid skin fade; high and tight.. I've been to a few barbers in Tempe and Phoenix and always asked for the same cut while receiving various different cuts while never leaving with a true skin fade.. if you find yourself in the same position as myself.. don't hesitate on this one. Book an appointment with Tim. He doesn't seem to have walk in availability and might have to wait some days for the appointment but it's worth it. He spent roughly 30 minutes on my cut, paid close attention to detail, and made sure its what I was looking for/shaved enough for my preference.. dude is class A, solid. Best part.. their base price is only $20.. super fair for a guys cut since we go every two weeks or so..
