    Lettuce cups were spectacular.

This was the Indian place we chose in London and I'm so happy we did. Gorgeous decor, warm and welcoming service and exceptional food. The best part of our meal was making new friends with the two young gentlemen at the table next to us. My husband and I were twice their age but we all enjoyed lively conversation and watched the football game together on the television as we sat in the outside garden area. This restaurant was right near Watling street where we pub hopped in the shadow of St. Paul's cathedral. London is magical and Brigadier's is part of that magic.

I read about Brigadiers and ended up coming here a few hours after I landed at Heathrow! Just after 1pm on a weekday, it was packed with finance and business people eating very serious lunches. I was drawn in because each TV played tennis! Is that normal in London? I was surprised but as a tennis fan, very pleased. It was hard to walk-in and snag a table, but this solo traveler was able to eat at the bar. Service was very attentive and good. I downed so many glasses of water that they kept refilling. I ordered the lunch set and was STUFFED. For 35ish euros, I got the largest amount of papadum, 2 courses, and then dessert. I selected lettuce wraps and the wagyu kati roll. Everything was delicious--spicy, flavorful, filling, unique, complex. It's an interesting dichotomy--the decor is like an (upscale) sports bar, but clientele are dressed up. There's a billiards room, private dining room, lots of party sets for groups (pay per person for multiple courses and sharing), and holy crow is there a lot of alcohol! There's a cool large beer jug I saw a few tables had. Would be back. Portions were so large and the food was delicious, as was the service.

Was recommended this place while eating at Brassos Italian restaurant, also amazing. This place I can honestly say was one of the best high end Indian restaurants I've eaten at. Highly suggest making an appointment early.

After a delayed flight and missing our reservation the first time around, Daphne was kind enough to refund our initial cancelation fee, and we were lucky to find a table for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated in a very comfortable booth seating, and as a cricket fan, to sit in a fancy Indian restaurant with cricket playing in the background is a joy only those people will understand, who are deprived of such an awesome experience. Special shout out to Jitendra, our server who ensured that we got the most spectacular service throughout our time there. Food here is just fantastic. Very "masaledaar" (full of spices) and tasty and we stuck to Jitendra's recommendations which included Afghani Lamb Ribeye Kebab Skewer (£13), Haryali Fried Chicken Lollipops '83 (£14), Goat Tikki Bun Kebabs (£15), Tandoori Masala Jheenga (£24), and Methi Chicken Chops (£20). Our little one got their Chicken and Naan from kids menu which was the most under-flavored dish on our table. Tandoori Masala Jheenga was the winner on our table followed by the Lamb Ribeye - an absolute must try. Noise levels were on the average end and the cricket game was entertaining! Service really stands out and Jitendra ensured our stay at Brigadiers was fun, and a memorable one! Highly recommended and will recommend to friends and family.

A visit several years in the making, did not disappoint! The food was top notch everything from the butter chicken wings, the cheeses chili naan and the baby goat all stood out to us. Wish the service was a little bit more friendlier as the servers just seemed very disinterested in serving anyone this aspect paired with the moody lighting left us really hoping for a more vibrant atmosphere. Hey atleast the food was legit.

Brigadiers is a solid Indian spot, buzzing with corporate & casual folks alike. The space is designed to give off an upscale yet relaxed Anglo Indian vibe. What really steals the show is the food. Absolutely delicious. You order their grilled meats or potatoes or even a humble daal and they season it with magical umami that results in a lip smacking, satisfying experience. Butter chicken wings are a tad overhyped- the flavors are lovely but it's too rich on butter. The Achari paneer is amazing. Service is very good despite how busy they are. I highly recommend Brigadiers for a remarkable gastronomic experience.

This is by far the best Indian food I've ever had, and while I've not had a ton, I can't imagine many places being better. The atmosphere is quite unique with a dark and moody yet playful and lively feel. Everything was absolutely delicious from drinks and starters to main entrees. My only complaint is the service. Our waiter was not very friendly at all and at times seemed like he was annoyed by just being there. I get everyone having a bad day, but he was on the extreme end of unfriendly almost being rude. Both hostesses were polite upon entry and exit, so that helped.

This place was amazing! Loved the dishes and the flavors and the service! We tried a number of different Indian whiskeys too! The food was off the hook!

I just had the most amazing meal here! The service was incredible friendly and attentive, the ambience is nice (minus the taxidermy, which might not be real but I don't care for dead animals either way), and they have a lovely selection of craft cocktails. What blew my mind though were the Indo Chinese Chili Paneer Lettuce Cups. I can't even begin to describe the level of perfection of this dish from flavor to texture. I was so tempted to oder another image. must try! The Rasmalai with Mango mousse and pistachio was the perfect finale. Wonderful, wonderful food.

This was my first visit to Brigaidiers and everything was delish! Gorgeous spot. I started with an old fashioned and we shared a bunch of plates. We ordered the goat belly vindaloo samosas, goat tiki buns, a tandori skewer, and the Dum Beef Shin & Bonemarrow Biryani. Loved every bite of everything, unfortunately later that evening my tummy was not happy with these choices. I was a mess halfway through the first act of Cabaret which we headed to directly following dinner. I'm not one to usually a dollar amount on food, as it really doesn't matter to me either way but... I can't help but note there's a significant price difference between Brigaiders and Dishoom (which I really love). If this is something that you may need to consider, I'd say you're totally fine at Dishoom. Service was great once we moved out of the front bar area and to a table in the main/rear dining room. Brigaiders is definitely a vibe! Totally worth checking them out, but I've never once had an upset tummy from Dishroom or any other Indian meal in my life, so the spices are spicing here folks or my system just couldn't tolerate all of the meat.

My quest for the ultimate Indian dining experience led me to Brigadiers, the twelfth restaurant from JKS Restaurants, the group behind the Michelin-starred Gymkhana and Trishna. Brigadiers is inspired by the army mess clubs of India and features a menu focused on BBQ and street food from all over the country. While Gymkhana's menu lacked the variety of meats I craved, Brigadiers delivered beyond my wildest dreams and the reason I've dedicated my 900th YELP review to it. Mixed grill sizzler - (£70 = $87.50 USD) - The mixed grill sizzler was a feast for the senses, with an incredible diversity of succulent and well-marinated meats, including guinea fowl reshmi kebabs, kasoori yellow chili chicken chops, double tandoori lamb chops, and tandoori masala jheenga (shrimp). Without a doubt, the star of the show were the lamb chops, which were the best I have ever tried. They were so meaty, tender, flavorful, and fall-of-the-bone. The lasooni chicken tikka skewer (£10 = $12.50 USD) was another standout dish. The marinade of roasted garlic and Kashmiri chili was truly sublime, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The original BBQ butter chicken wings (£12.50 = $15.63 USD) were also a delightful surprise. The wings were crispy and the marinade of garlic, cashews, and butter was unique and delicious. Bread basket (£9 = $11.25 USD) - Of course, no Indian meal is complete without a variety of breads to soak up all the delicious sauces. The bread basket at Brigadiers features a selection of freshly baked naans, kulchas, and parathas that are perfect for scooping up the scrumptious meats. Overall, Brigadiers is a culinary masterpiece. The food is exceptional, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is vibrant and lively. If you're looking for the ultimate Indian dining experience, Brigadiers is the place to go. All the meats served here are HALAL.

We had just gone to The Globe and decided to see about some tasty Indian food before heading back to 'Merica. We walked in about 10 minutes before they opened. Make a note, this place is popular, so make a reservation! Got seats reserved at the bar, which was cool with us! The bar and dining area filled up crazy fast so we lucked out getting to sit where we did. Got the veggie samosa starters and a couple signature cocktails. The tamarind sauce for dipping the yummy samosa's was perfection! The cocktails were really tasty. My good man behind the bar was attentive without being annoying and really helpful answering my vegetarian companions questions. I got the chicken tikka masala and my friend got the aubergine vegetarian dinner. We shared the rice, which they top with pine nuts, and the bread basket. There are zero words in the English language to describe how unbelievably G O O D this meal was!! Think flavor poppin' umami fireworks with each bite! We have been in England for 3 weeks and this meal surpasses all of the different foods we have eaten! Now let's talk toilets: these are THE cleanest and most private privy's in all the land! The walls are a regal shade of red and all the sinks are pedestals. Each stall is fully enclosed and sound proof. Not a bad place to be if your gastro experience goes awry. The air freshener system should be made a law for all toilets. (We thought that the museum's toilets were the best, but they aren't. Although, the National Gallery toilets have the sink and hand dryer right next to the toilet so you don't leave the stall, but I digress.) My apologies for no photos except the cocktails, the ones I took didn't turn out. Who ever didn't give Brigadier's 5/5 shortchanged this place. Make it a point to hang out with the posh people in the financial district next time you're in London! It was marvelous!

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.

For starters, we had the prawns and veggie samosas. Prawns were good and my family enjoyed the veggie samosas. Please not there are only 2 to an order. The black lentils were good but the full flavor wasn't there and it wasn't as creamy as I've had in the past. The best ones I've had were in Thailand, but this didn't even come close. For both the lentils and the biryani, we had to add salt to try to enhance the flavor. We decides to give dessert a try and it was just okay. Initially we planned on order the gulag jamun, but it came with Cornish (vanilla) ice cream and I wanted pistachio. They were very inflexible and would not swipe out the ice cream even though they physically have to put the vanilla scoops on top. Overall, we wouldn't be back here.
