A few months ago my top rear molar cracked, fast forward two weeks ago and it started aching extremely bad. Made an appointment, made a morning appointment and had to miss a day of work. They tell me the tooth needs to be pulled. They then say I would need to come back at 2:30pm to do it (yeah I noticed one of their staff carrying in like 10 pizzas, so basically come back after their pizza party right) The front desk tells me I am out of coverage for the year and that I would have to pay about $750 out of pocket, yeah I left. Been suffering in pain for the last two weeks, and missed another day of work when the pain was really severe. I have an appointment this Thursday at a different Dentist office and they told my wife that I have plenty of coverage to cover the cost. So yeah what the hell, pretty pissed about it. read more

So my husband went there for the first time about a month or two ago due to pain in his tooth, they weren't sure what was going on with his tooth so they referred him to a specialist being it was one of the crowns. The specialist did what they had to do, a root canal and told my husband specifically if he were to go back to Bright Now all that would be needed was the "buildup" not an additional crown or anything like that. The specialist also told him the price if he were to do it at the specialists office. Sure enough he goes to Bright Now and they want to do all the work, almost $500 worth of what was supposed to be around $200. My husband refused to sign off on the work and the receptionist said that he would have to see the dentist. More people show up, about 6 people go before him and he's there for 40 minutes. He walks out and about 10 minutes later they try to call him? This office is a joke, they just want to take all the money they can get! Before he even went in this last time he specifically told them NO CROWN, JUST BUILDUP, they said okay. From reading other reviews it sounds like people have had similar experiences and that's sad. No wonder people don't like going to the dentist can't wait for the automatic reply!!! One of the receptionist also made a comment the first time he was there when they gave him the breakdown of other service cost they wanted to do (over $2k by the way)- "why not? It's cheap." If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had an appointment to get an exam to determine what cleaning I needed. My hygienist told me that I had a very little amount of tartar that could be removed easily. This required a deep cleaning. My insurance covers teeth cleaning however, for the deep clean I would have to pay out of pocket. I was DENIED basic dental services because I was not interested in the deep cleaning. I was told it would be unethical to do anything less. However I think it is unethical to deny a basic cleaning that is covered by insurance. The receptionist had the audacity to tell me that after my coverage the out-of-pocket cost is cheap as if she was paying for it. Extremely disappointed. I will wait until I have the option to change my insurance before I let them work on my mouth. I believe they are not looking to serve honestly, they are looking for ways to get money out of you too, dental coverage isn't enough these days. read more

Still waiting at 11AM for a 10am appointment. I was a new patient, office asked me to come in at 90am for paperwork.. After watching many patients, and I mean many, come in and out I asked receptionist if running late was usual, which of course I knew she would not be honest, she said I was next, that was at1030am, I left at 11AM.. My gut feeling is they were mostly ortho work for young people and me being an 82 year old person, no money to be made, hence the delay. Won't return. read more

You go in for a simple extraction and you come out paying for stuff that's not covered on insurance. You don't get instructions for aftercare or any medications that were called in to pick up. The team here however, made sure that my first few visits have allowed me to stop having absolute panic and looking forward to getting my smile and gums healthy after a few face injuries. If you're in need of a Dr Sanghera then I would just ask that every 3 months you leave one spot for me open too but run to his calendar! Get on his teams schedule. Spouse went for 1 cleaning in early 2023. The business billed both insurances as they should have. My insurance sent me the check. i personally dropped off the check to Bright now in March 2023. i asked for a receipt but was told they couldn't, back office has to receipt it. Payment was never applied to his account but they promptly cashed the check. I have been calling them every few months to get this corrected since "BILLING" calls regularly. I am repeatedly told the manager is not in, the outside billing department can only be emailed. I rarely receive a return call. as far as I am concerned, the business stole the funds. I had to go back because of an infection in a tooth they were trying to do a root canal on, and I went back and WHILE my mouth was all prepped and I'm laying in the chair the dentist comes in and announces she "doesn't feel comfortable working on me anymore " since my daughter, who's an orthodontist and talked to her on the phone, told her her methods were unethical...which they were. Avoid going to Bright Now! Dental. Their computer system crashed when I went there for my second appointment. They told me I didn't have an appointment so I had to show the reminder appointment card that I did have an appointment. Then, I had to reschedule my follow-up appointment two times because of Bright Now! dental's fault because the dentist would be at another location and the staff would be in training, and for the other appointment, the dentist needed to clear the appointments for the afternoon because she had a meeting. When I called Bright Now! Dental about having a hard time flossing my teeth because of the two new crowns, the staff and dental hygienist insisted that I get a water pick even though I said I didn't want to get a water pick. Then when I went back to the dental office to try to get it easier to floss my teeth, the dentist said that I don't need a water pick because my gums are fine and don't need a water pick to clean between my teeth. Then, the manager told me two times that I still had one temporary crown when I already had the two temporary crowns replaced and didn't have a temporary crown remaining. The manager was looking at my dental records and the dental records didn't state that I already have two permanent crowns. I will be going back to my old dental office that I was going to for over 30 year. I changed dentists this year because my old dental office didn't take my new dental insurance. I made my appointment for 2 weeks. When I arrive the dentist takes all of 3 min to visually look at my teeth and tell me the amount of time I would need braces. He doesn't do X-rays so that was odd to me. Then the coordinator comes after him to tell me how much it would cost. Of course she does not have the information ready because my insurance office is closed. It was a Saturday! Of course it's closed. I'm writing this at 4:30 pm Monday following my appointment and I have yet to hear back. I was told Monday I would be contacted with a quote. 'This place is a joke! I called in for an appt on a Wednesday and they were able to fit me in the following Monday. I've received a daily call since I've made the appt. On top of that multiple text messages. All these to verify insurance, telling me to show up 15 min before my appt. The day of, I show up 20 min early only to find their office doors closed. A few personnel went in then I checked it again still locked. Mind you my appt was at 0800 and it was now 7:55. At 0800 is when they opened up. The receptionist was slow regarding temperature with multiple people showing up at 0800 since we've been waiting. It's now 20 min past my appt time and I've only filled out paperwork. Supposedly their Google rating is over 4.5 but I hope people check their Yep review. I wish I would have prior to making this appt. I'll update when I finally leave here which would make the rest of my appts for the day behind. I asked the receptionist why I'm still waiting for my 0800 appt and she told me because of the paperwork. I said I was told to be here at 0745 to fill it out and I was, well she rudely explained that they don't open till 0800 and that's the call center's fault. She still also has to verify my insurance which I received calls last week about, this while dental practice is very disorganized, lacking of professionalism, and I'm seriously thinking about walking out. Decided to try this place out and i had the worst experience of my life I had to get a tooth pulled and they gave me 6 numbing shots which did not work and they just kept pulling and pulling and after about 30mins og pulling they just told me well your tooth isn't coming you need to wait till our ortho comes which was a week or 2 from the date of ..I was angry I could feel my face so hot .. I demanded to get a referral to another place and they did so ..and I finally got tooken care of today .. but end of story I do not recommend this place very horrible service and just so inconsiderate of the pain they cause .. due to the tooth pulling they chipped the top of my tooth and infection spread all over causing a lot more pain and they did not give me no pain meds nor antibiotics read more

I would highly recommend this place. I don't remember the name of my dentist (a guy, younger and I think I heard him speak Spanish once) but he was great! He was always fast and very knowledgeable. The pain was always little to no pain. I also got my wisdom teeth pulled out (3of them) and the dentist that did this procedure ( different one) was just as amazing. I went for my consultation and he was able to get them out that same day. I want to say I was only there for like an hour. Out of the three wisdom teeth I only felt pain on one.... but I was back at work the next day. Last but not least.... the girls in the front are always super nice and never forget to call me to remind me of my appointment. read more

I entered Brite Now Dental in Riverbank and it was great from the start, the office was immaculate and the service from the office manager was excellent. Dr.Sando was highly educated and exceptional at her practice. Her assistant and herself did not make me feel chastised or belittled , they made me feel comfortable and trust worthy of the treatment they did for me today and in future work that they will be helping me with. I had my first appointment here a few weeks ago. The staff and the dental hygienist were very nice, but they were running late and I had to wait about 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The doctor was not friendly; she took a look at my teeth and without explanation she told me I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and braces. She did not explain why she was recommending this and was rude when I asked her questions about it. I'm 30 years old, have already had braces and three different dentists in ten years have never told me my wisdom teeth were an issue. I just called to reschedule an appointment I have on Monday morning which is 68 hours from now. They told me they would have to charge a $75 dollar rescheduling fee because Sundays don't count towards their 48 hour cancellation policy. I was already suspicious that they were trying to get me to do unnecessary procedures because my insurance would cover it, now I'm pretty convinced this place is just out for your money. read more

The office staff is completely incompetent. They had to reschedule my appointment twice because they didn't know what days they worked or what hours. Due to my husband's Teamsters, we've had to join whatever Dentist/ Dental facility they offer us. Lucky for us, this facility is staffed with kind, friendly and caring staff! The front desk staff; Roy and the office manager are exceptional! I was very impressed with the 2 dentists I saw last week due to a cracked tooth with loss of a filling. Dr. Pannu was very thorough and asked about having metal hardware in my body due to prior surgery. He then prescribed an antibiotic to be taken before the tooth was repaired. I've never had a dentist that was this thorough in regards to my medical history. I then went back the following week for the filling and repair. This time I saw, Dr. Gill. She was very efficient and explained all that she planned to do. I was very impressed with the way she respectively interacted with the staff that worked with her. She was not demanding, nor demeaning. I've been to some well known, "highly regarded " dentists in my day and the dentists and staff here @ Bright Now! Literally scam artists in Modesto. I love the one in Martinez. My kids go to their appointments religiously. My fiance moved to the bay area towards me. I regret even giving him the recommendation to Bright Now! but I was basing it off of my experience with my kids and the Martinez, location. I have been trying to transfer my step sons care for literally 3 months! Since the beginning of December! Modesto is two hours from us. Martinez is right over the bridge. Finally as of 3 days ago and weekly/biweekly phone calls they transferred the paperwork over, BUT (and this is a HUGE BUT) are refusing to send over any left over funds from insurance (we have excellent insurance). Their reason? Because we are out of contract since our son hasen't been seen by them since December!!! Are you kidding??? You mean while you held his file hostage waiting for this to happen. You mean while the other office called you and you refused to send the paperwork to them? Or simply because you are snakes in the grass and wouldn't even admit your wrong doing and simply said, "I'm sorry you felt that we didn't transfer his care soon enough". I am so disappointed and disgusted with this office. I can't believe they think they can treat people like this. It shows a complete lack of respect. We are a blended family, we work very hard for everything we have and everything they have. We have 7 kids, 3 out of braces already. If I could give negative stars I would took my wife in yesterday and they just kept upping the price my wife needed a tooth removed and the dentist would not do any work on her mouth because she did not want a bone graph or to be gassed along with the dentist actually scarring and pressuring my wife to do something she didn't want to do this place just wants to rob you of your hard earned money. not to mention after a 2 hour wait I busted my phone out and recorded enough video to shut this place down with there covid 19 procedures they were letting back multiple people when unless it's a small child there not supposed to let extra people back I recorded us going into a room then after touching where we were at they moved us and without cleaning stuck another man in that room I recorded another lady not wearing her mask over nose and coughing towards there equipment recorded there own workers breaking protocol and not properly sanitizing used areas. after our visit yesterday I recorded enough that this place wont be open much longer DONT GO HERE they dont care about your feelings or your health look forward to the right people getting my video in there hands of our experience and their 2 dozen safety risks they broke SO THERE OFFICE IS CLOSED DOWN even showed my dental hygienist friend and she was like wow you filmed enough to get them in BAD TROUBLE I will NEVER GO TO BRIGHT NOW DENTAL EVER AGAIN. read more

We recently changed dentists for our daughter, and decided to give Bright Now! a whirl since it was new to the area, and they were sending out flyers. We knew she needed braces, and had been to two other orthodontists we had been referred to prior to the switch. At her first regular cleaning at the Riverbank location, we found the staff to be extremely professional and thorough. The office was very clean and welcoming. They had drinks and snacks in the lobby. Throughout the x-ray and cleaning, we were told what was going on and my daughter was comfortable. The dentist here also mentioned that my child needs braces, which of course was no surprise. We were told to schedule an appointment at the Modesto location at our convenience, which we did. At the Modesto location, our child received x-rays, and we met the orthodontist who went over what is going on with her teeth, and told us what the options are, and what the process and outcome would most likely look like. We were given pricing at the appointment, and were pleasantly surprised by how affordable the treatment plan was compared to the others we have seen. We decided to get braces at Bright Now! and so far things have been great. It didn't take long to have the braces put on, and I am happy that we found an orthodontist who is friendly and knowledgeable. We have another two years ahead of us with this process, so I want it to be as pleasant as possible for my daughter. read more

I have been insecure about my smile for some time now and after they worked out a plan & helped me get through my "fear" of the sound of that drill, it scares the crap out of me, the front desk girls are always so sweet & greet me in a way where I'm always feeling welcomed here & I am always able to book appointments right away if something goes wrong. They accommodate you & i only get Tuesday & Wednesday's off so it's nice that they can work w/ my schedule! My doctor is so good, she matched my teeth shade perfectly when ordering my permanent crown, once it was sent back lighter in color & she got me the right shade to suit my other teeth's shades better! read more

Disaster, this place will always be late on your appointment by about 45 mins. Also there is no one giving you attention, the dentists are so over worked and it is so crowed. One great thing is their Dentist Dr. Alexander Danza he is amazing attention to detail is super and he's perfectionist. The only reason I go there!!!!!!!!!!! My younger sister receives orthodontic treatment at this location. Her Orthodontist is a 5 star provider! Her treatment was explained thoroughly from the beginning. Her assistants are always on point! The only thing we have struggled with is the front office. They look so unhappy and give a poor patient experience. My mom and I tried bringing this issue to the managers attention but she never returned our phone call. On the other hand, I've never had issues with my appointments. They have always accommodated to our scheduling needs. My sister was scared to begin braces but Dr. Chang made her feel at ease and comfortable. She likes her so much she asked me to yelp about her!
