For an entrance fee of $20 it is pretty small and offerings are limited. Parking is limited along the farm. I was lucky to get a spot, but getting out was difficult. People were fighting for the spot and you're backing into on coming traffic. There are overflow lots that require a trek to get to the farm. There are TONS of bees. So be aware. I had the BEST time here with my family this weekend! We were debating coming here vs. White Post Farm in Melville and we were so glad we came here! Upon arrival, we were greeted by ample (free) parking and welcoming staff. There is a charge of $20 per person to enter but that includes almost everything inside including seeing animals (which you can feed by buying $5 cones of food), pony rides for children, a hay ride for the whole family, access to a pumpkin patch, face painting, and a clown/balloon show. The pumpkins were plentiful and reasonably priced and there was a great selection of fall and fair treats. We ended up getting Apple cider, Apple cider donuts, seasonal jam, and lemonade. All were fantastic and priced well considering the cover charge. The farm is beautiful and there are so many scenic spaces for family photos. I was also concerned that going to a pumpkin patch on a Saturday in October would be crazy in terms of the number of people there, but the area was spacious and the lines were all relatively short. Definitely check this place out before the season ends. If you can't make it, they have a tree lighting ceremony in the winter that I imagine will be just as great. read more

The $10 includer f simple face painting, games for the kids, and a wagon hayride as many times as you wanted, and more. Honestly we go to some of these places and they aren't free or offer anything extra with admission, which is what happened to us last year. so to me this admission price ensured that everybody got to partake in other activities other than just pumpkin picking. A hidden gem right in here Bay Shore, Long Island. We have been pumpkin picking here for the last three years and each time have had a great experience. The farm almost always has a coupon for admission on their website- typically buy 4 tickets, get 1 free- which is great when bringing the whole family. They have animals to see/feed and pony rides & inflatables for the kids. The also have a cute hayride around the perimeter of the farm. They offer great snacks for purchase including apple cider donuts, fresh baked cookies, lemonade, turkey legs and pumpkin beer. Additionally there is a gift shop that sells T-shirt's, fall decor, pies, apple cider and other fall items. The pumpkins are plentiful and it's easy to find what your looking for. It is best to go early, because parking fills up and it gets busier as the day goes by. Went during fall festival on a very warm and sunny October Saturday. So it was way overcrowded. It was Decent, but not great. Overall It wasn't bad as a far, but if I compare it to places out east it is way too crowded and you spend half your day in lines and don't get much of the fall pumpkin picking feel. I was there with my family, 7 people in total. We paid $70 to enter and purchased $90 worth of pumpkins and over $80 worth of food. Our incentive for driving out to Bayshore was the pumpkin beer and hard cider which is stated on your website, one of the only farms on Long Island to offer that. Your website should be modified with what you're no longer offering due to Covid. Additionally, the corn machine was broken and lemonade ran out, so we couldn't get that which we wanted either. I am unsure what we paid $70 to enter for. Hay rides are considered high risk according to Gov. Cuomo so that was completely out of the question and still not worth a $10 entry fee without the rest of what your farm offers anyway. Next time we'd definitely go more local but you should re-vamp your website for future customers. Oh, and the pumpkins rotted within 2 weeks of purchase, barely made it to halloween. read more

I came here for some late minute family fun. I live about 45 minutes away in Nassau county and it was convenient to drive to from my house. They had ample parking and it was easy to find. They had a lot of staff which was great because they was always someone there to assist us if we needed anything. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and they charged us $5 per person for admission. They had two concessions stands. They sold turkey legs, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, fries and many drinks. They have a country store which sold all the fall necessities such as cider donuts, apple cider, pumpkin and apple pies, fall decorations and candies. They also had pumpkin picking, hayrides, ziggy the clown, face painting and animal feeding. The place was kinda pricey to be honest but they gotta make their money I understand. I just wish it was a little less pricey and had more activities for people older than 6 haha. It is great for young families who have kids 6 and younger. Nice concept. Terrible execution. Pick your own pumpkins is more like pickup your pumpkins in field. They are not on a vine. This is disappointing for a place that claims to be a "farm". The parking situation is horrendous and there are too many people in the place. $5.00 entry is a waste because the hayride is pathetic at best. The place is clean and the staff are nice ( the only things that earns it the two stars) however the layout of the space makes it difficult to make your way around especially when it's crowded. I came here with my family over the weekend for the fall festival. I read a couple of reviews that had me concerned because we were originally going to go to Whitepost Farms, but we're scared away by the price. To our surprise, we came away extremely impressed by Brightwater Farms. The parking was really easy and the location right off the Southern State made it easy and convenient to get to. The cost was $10 for adults and babies were free. They had enough activities and animals to keep the little ones interested. I was also really happy with the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins were all detached and were in great condition, which made it great for the kids and parents to get involved. The price want bad either at 69 cents a lb. The little shop was really cute as well and we got tons of memories. Definitely a great family afternoon activity!!!! read more

Guy driving the kiddie trailer saw a group of kids and said "everyone jump right in", then after the kids got in he asked for the tokens and having to remove the kids because we had no more tokens and couldn't run to buy more it rubbed me off the bad way. The staff was very nice and knocked a few dollars off the large pumpkin we picked to fit within our budget. Visitied Brightwaters Farm in Bayshore in October 2013. Did not enjoy this farm. Had much better time at other farms, such as Finks. Everything was WAY OVERPRICED. The place did not get crowded, which was good, but I feel this is why they over charge the patrons that they do get. It cost $8.00 for one pony ride which circled around 2 short laps. It's great that they serve beer, but $7.00 per beer? Really? Might as well go to a ballpark. 2 large and 1 small pumpkin ran another $25. Not to mention the $7.00 per charge admission per person. I give 1 star for the hay ride because there was a pleasant fellow singing and playing a guitar and harmonica at just the right sound level. There was a Winnie the pooh character on the hay ride who kept leaning over on the kids, falling asleep. It was ridiculous. Also, no corn maze. I blew another $16.00 on a pecan pie which was decent. Went there yesterday with our daughter. Not much of a farm. Over-priced to be polite, a rip-off to be more accurate. $ 34.00 included admission for 2 adults + "pop" for our 6 y/o. That got us a sad excuse for a hayride (around the "pumpkin patch") and use of the "rides" 2 old bouncy-type slides & 1 jump room. There was a tractor train & little area to ride bikes around a small oval track. She got her face painted (if you could call it that) The girl spent less than 2 minutes. Very rude staff. We got a small cup of ice with sugar that was passed off as lemonade for 6 bucks & a water for $3/small bottle. The best part was the clown. I didn't agree with previous reviews. My kids had a blast and stayed most of the day. i got the unlimited pass for the rides and my kids kept going and going. There were plenty of activities and not crowded so we could do it all. Prices were a bit pricey but no more than any other place I've taken them to.
