I used Addy's Bridal Gowns and Alterations for my March 2011 wedding. They were great from start to finish. It is the first place I went and I found my dress right away. Then I had second thoughts and ended up buying a second gown 3 weeks before my wedding. They were very nice and helped me re-sell the first gown I had bought and credited me for the alterations I had had done (which were extensive). I also rented the tuxedos from them and everything came out looking perfect and the price was much better than Men's Warehouse. First impressions, the place is kind of a hole-in-the-wall. It is in a half-empty shopping center in Phoenix. I was looking for a particular designer that I saw they carried so I tried it anyway and was pleasantly surprised. They have a large supply of dresses at the store, and they will also order anything by the designers they contract with for you to try on. Most of their dresses range well under 1,000 dollars, but they also have a smaller selection of 1,500 and up dresses. I liked them because their prices were more than competitive. You can get your jewelry and accessories for much cheaper than places like David's Bridal, and I felt that the quality was better. It is a family run business, and you definitely get a "home-y" feel instead of a high-end one like you would at a Scottsdale boutique. They will bend over backwards to make your day perfect and give you all of their attention. The quality far exceeded the price and I would definitely recommend Addy's to other brides. read more

The biggest issue I had with this Brilliant Bridal was that it was so hot inside the shop... My mom, mother in law, and grandma were there, and they were all warm... But me trying on all these huge dresses I WAS DYING. There was a little fan in the dressing room, but it barely helped. The dressing him was just a little curtain in the corner, so not a lot of ventilation. I wear a size 16, and they had barely anything to fit me... Which I am not very large so I found that surprising. This was my first bridal appointment, so when they were fitting me into dresses 4-6 sizes larger than what I usually wear I was pretty disappointed. Like I can go into any normal non-plus size store, and find stuff that fits me. But they were putting me in dresses that were size 30. They acted like that's the way every store is, but I had no sizing issues at other stores. They didn't have anything in the flowy silhouette I wanted, just modified A-line and ballgown type dresses. I don't know if that was just the luck of the draw for when I went, or if they really just don't carry much. All that to say, I think my stylist was really trying to accommodate me. She was very nice. But they simply didn't have a large enough selection for me to find anything I liked, and they should really vouch for better AC in JUNE in PHX. read more

I went in there with an idea and a price and she did not try and up-sell me or made me feel rushed! Now this is my second dress for pictures in the water, but I love it so much that it may just be my dress I wear at my reception. This bridal shop was our first stop for my daughter. She found a very unique dress that she loved but wanted to still go to her next appointment at another shop because of a dress she wanted to try there. Fast forward...less than desirable outcome at the next shop. The experience at Brilliant Bridal is off the charts! Mary was our consultant and she was incredible. She cared about the small details of the wedding and wanted to form a relationship with my daughter and her guests. We appreciated the separate area that has mirrors and a pedestal. The other shop lacked mirrors in the dressing area and no pedestals at all. Additionally, the other staff members were super welcoming and also made our bride to be feel so special with their attention as well. Great staff! Another plus at Brilliant Bridal is that they actually allow you and your guests to browse the selection and pick a few dresses to try before the consultants pull choices. Again, the second shop did not allow this until we insisted this would work better for our bride to be. If your bride is looking for a great selection off the rack and wants to be treated with an amazing, personalized experience. Go to Brilliant Bridal first! Final update: Unfortunately, the alterations were not adequate and we had to take the dress to another seamstress in our own town. Luckily, my daughter was able to get here earlier than expected, so we had time to have the dress re-altered. I know that had we lived in Phoenix, Addy would have fixed the dress to perfection, but circumstances would not allow that. After the wedding, I contacted Addy's Bridal to inform them about the dress not fitting and what we had to do to fix it. Addy was understanding and informed me that wedding dress alterations are not always perfect the first time and that several visits may be necessary before the dress is correct. Addy and I did come to an agreement and I will say that I am appreciative for her quick response and the remedy that was reached. If you learned anything from our experience, it is that if you are buying your dress in a different city than where you reside, it would be best for you to find a seamstress in your local area so that you don't have the same issue we did! read more

I had a fantastic experience at this shop! I had a rough experience with another bridal shop earlier that day, and I was a little apprehensive at first. But, from the time that I walked in and was greeted by the first lady, I knew I was in good hands. I drove up from Tucson and I was about a half an hour early to my appointment. I was carrying my shoebox with my wedding shoes in it, and after the girl had greeted us and I told her about my appointment, she was like "Oooh shoes, let's see!" I showed her my shoes and she oohed and ahhhed over them. She took the group of us in, my two sisters, my mom, and my friend, and called out my consultant, Rachel. Rachel was super nice, I told her my budget (~$300) and she directed me to a rack of dresses that were under $350. They were gorgeous and I picked four that I really liked. Note: They do not do alterations, you leave with the dress that day, but they have a list of recommended places for alterations that comes with a price estimate of the alterations. Rachel helped me in and out of the dresses, and was super encouraging and helpful the entire time. While the dresses were "off the rack" and "overstock" (which she explained at the beginning) they were high quality and I was impressed with them. I visited three other bridal shops before this one and while the others were nice (minus the horrible experience at one Azteca Bridal), these dresses, along with the customer service were just awesome. I found my dream dress for $350! They took a picture of me with the dress bag and a cute little sign that said "I said yes to the dress!". All of the ladies were really friendly (they all loved my shoes) and they asked that I send a wedding picture for their wall, which I would love to do! I would recommend Brilliant Bridal, especially this location, to anyone looking for gorgeous, affordable dresses with awesome customer service! read more

She asked about all the details - the proposal, the ring, the wedding, the venue, the look I was going for and she was all smiles as I told her everything. She was just as excited as I was! She was in the dressing room with me the entire time and listened to what I liked and didn't like. She was patient as I tried on every style and color dress in the store. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I had come here with my Mom and Aunt for wedding dress shopping and I didn't have hopes of finding my dress during this appointment. I had a dress picked out from an online store that I was going to go with, I was only doing the formal dress trying on thing because my Mom wanted me to. I got to work with Kalie as my consultant and she was amazing! She was so nice and helpful throughout the whole appointment. The dress I ended up choosing was one of Kalie's wild card picks and neither of us expected me to end up choosing that one. Everyone in the whole store was equally amazing. The receptionist helped pair belts with different dresses I tried on and the manager ended up helping me try on veils and figuring out which veil looked best with my dress. I went to Brilliant Bridal for my wedding dress 3 months ago. I called to make an appointment and they were all booked. Despite this, they managed to fit me in! The selection is great and the prices are even better! Just because this is a discount bridal store, don't think you'll be getting a discount looking dress. Every dress there is new, and ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! They mark down their dresses because the dresses that they sell are from a past season's line. I don't know about you, but I don't particularly have the talent to look at a wedding dress and be able to tell that it's not from a current line, and I don't know many people who can! The person who helped me (I can't remember her name and I feel so bad for that because she was so nice!) knew exactly what she was doing! I went in there with absolutely NO IDEA of what I was looking for, she listened to me, and quickly started pulling dresses that I absolutely loved...and just by listening to my likes and dislikes! This girl was a mind reader and absolutely fantastic at what she does! My dress was absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! It's a mermaid cut, sleeveless, and covered with lace! It's so very pretty! My dress was originally 1,000 dollars, but at Brilliant Bridal I only paid $625.00! I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO BRILLIANT BRIDAL! I heard of Brilliant Bridal from browse bridal salons on theknot.com. I liked the fact that it was an off the rack bridal salon, but more so that they did have plus size gowns in stock which was critical for me. So I made my appointment for the afternoon on 3/11/18 and rounded up my entourage. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I know I couldn't have even dreamed up the experience! I was paired with my stylist Mary who was quite literally like a fairy godmother. She let us know how the salon worked, not once being pushy but letting us make our choices and pulling the dresses we selected. The selection they had was quite impressive, and I really enjoyed the fact that I was allowed to get a feel for what I wanted to try out, along with letting my ladies pull what they thought I would like. Once we had the four dresses Mary was leading me back and getting me into the gowns. She was so easy to talk to both about the gowns and just small talk, asked me about the proposal and how my fiance and I met... She was absolutely wonderful! While I swear I tried on like 12 gowns it was the second one that completely won me over: I cried every time I put it on! I felt like an absolute princess in the gown! I was already impressed and then lo and behold, the gown ended up being a part of a collection I had always wanted my dress from! Toward the end, Mary had be step into the two favorites to see the reactions, and again the second dress won with the tears flowing. I was amazed I had found my dress in the first shop we ended up at! And then the amazing part! Once it was all decided we went to the register, expecting this magical find to be in the $1,500 range, it was actually $850! My ladies, especially my mother (bless her) were FLOORED.
