Andrea Steward at Brilliant Earth Showroom at Austin showroom at Austin - Domain Northside 11700 Domain Blvd., Ste. 132. Austin, TX 78758 was an excellent service lady. She has the best quality of service comparing to all of those I met at Brilliant Earth Showroom when I was served by her. I wished all the people at this showroom was as good as her, but no, they were not! We bought an expensive pair of earrings (More than $5000). On the day I picked up the earrings, the earrings had cheap "push in" instead of "guardian" backs for buying more than 1 carat of total diamond weight as they told me (because before buying the earrings, I have talked to 2 Online chat agents, and people at this showroom. I repeatedly asked them to confirm the earrings backs would be "Guardian backs', not "Push backs". I wanted to emphasize that I cared about the earrings backs. The earrings backs should be what I paid for and should be what they stated online as well as what they promised me before buying them. They all said "Yes, they will be the guardian backs, not push backs since you bought over 1 carats total weight of the diamonds!"). Well, they broke their commitments, broke their words because it didn't matter how many times I tried to tell them to make sure the earrings backs will be "Guardian backs", not "push backs", and all of them confirmed me that the earrings back will be the "guardian backs", but finally, they still gave me the "push backs" on the day I picked it up. You could imaging how disappointed I was. I asked the lady who handed the earrings to me why the backs were "push backs", not guardian back", she said: "Well! I don't know. let I asked the manager about this". A few minutes later, a manager came out and told me that she was the one who checked my earrings today and didn't know why my earrings backs were "push backs", and not "guardian backs" as they supposed to be what I paid for. But in my mind at that time kept saying to myself that "Why she inspected my earrings and knew they had wrong earrings backs and still decided to let me pick them up? They want to fool me and if I won't know anything about the earrings backs were actually "push backs" , not "guardian backs", then they could get away with that or what? ". But unfortunate for them, I knew it, so the manager told me that she will write an email and send to the place that made these earrings to make the "guardian backs" and sent to her, then she will call me once the "guardians backs" arrives the showroom. I asked her if I have to bring the earrings back here in order to get the right earrings backs or not, and she said: " No! you don't have to, you just come to pick up the 'guardian backs'. Four days later, I received an email from Brilliant Earth Customer Support that told me to send my earrings back to them, so they can do the "guardian backs" for me. I don't know why the manager at showroom say one thing and this email said another thing. I didn't know which one is correct, so I decided to call their Customer Service at 800.691.0952, a gentleman told me that he needed me to send the earrings back to them, so they will redo the backs and send the earrings back to me once done, but he warned me that I will no longer have the enjoy of "30 days warranty return" anymore if I don't like the earrings once they have fixed the earring's backs since they will consider it is the "repair". OMG! Their mistake in making my earring's backs and instead of issue an apology to me and try to fix their mistake by correct the earring's backs as they told me before I bought, they tried to take away my "30 days return" (as they advertising before I bough the items) just like they won't accept their mistake, their wrong doing, their breaking promise, and instead, they blamed the customer for not accept their mistake in making wrong earring's backs (cheap "push in" backs, not "guardian" more secured backs). I don't understand why a multi millions business that has the way of doing business like this. When I worked for big companies, in the meetings, the high level managers always told us that "Quality and Customer's satisfaction" were first. Well, this company was different. they wanted to save a bit metal by making a "cheap push backs" that less metal (Platinum) instead of "guardian backs" that will need more metal and required more time to make it. Probably, they thought that I could fool me and save some metal, made more profit. This made me so stressful, and they caused so much inconvenient for me when I already paid them full. I decide to return the earrings the next day and no need for them to fix my earring's backs. They have screwed up my 15th anniversary's gift for my wife, so now they lost selling the earrings to me, and also lost me as a customer, too because I decided that I will never buy anything from Brilliant Earth anymore for the rest of my life. It was a really bad experience buying thing from Brilliant Earth. read more
