Don't just skip this shop... RUN!!! My fiancée, Chris, proposed with a ring from Brilliant Earth in April. And side stones have fallen out not just once, but THREE times. I have had my ring in their repair shop (which is not local) longer than I've been wearing my ring. Customer service is slow, not understanding, and downright painful. I don't wear my ring when I work out, wash dishes, sleep, I don't even wear it every day. Completely unacceptable. And you best believe I have already talked multiple friends out of using them for future business. There is little return on value. I hope they take better measures to reconcile our purchase and offer us a full refund. read more

I wouldn't recommend. My husband bought me a tennis bracelet for my birthday, and when it needed resizing, they had to ship it out instead of handling it in-store. There's no way to contact the store directly by phone, and appointments are only available online, which made the whole process confusing and frustrating. After dropping it off, I didn't have clear communication about where my bracelet was or what was happening with it. The earliest appointment I could get to discuss the status is three weeks later, only to be told they weren't even sure if it could be resized. The people who work there are very nice but it seems like this is done because of corporate polices. If this was my engagement ring I would be devastated. read more

Incredibly frustrated with Brilliant earth. My husband and I came in before our wedding specifically to talk about adding bands to my stone from another jewelry place in la jolla. We confirmed 2 times that if we bought the bands from Brilliant Earth they would be able to solder the bands to my original engagement ring. I feel like I was lied to as a sales tactic. I love my bands but I am not pleased with being told one thing to get the sale and then being turned away when i'm ready to solder my rings into place. Despite me being indecisive, Ana was incredibly patient and helped us find the perfect band. Before our wedding, I brought in my engagement ring to be cleaned, and since then, I've made it a habit to stop by occasionally for routine cleanings. The staff is consistently helpful and welcoming. On my most recent visit this past weekend, Sandra went above and beyond and cleaned my rings right away even though I came in without an appointment. I came into the store a couple of months ago with my daughter to browse the selection, get some questions answered and possibly walk out with an engagement ring for my girlfriend. We were completely ignored and overlooked by the staff from the moment I walked in. People who didn't particularly look like me were acknowledged and assisted before and after I walked in and it was very discouraging to want to do business with that establishment, especially after my 11 year old child asked why other people were being helped and not us. I came here to view a setting for an engagement ring I was planning on purchasing for my girlfriend. To be quite frank, I had no intention of actually purchasing a ring from here, I was told by friends to go to a jeweler instead for higher quality and better customer service; I just really loved the setting and wanted to see it in person. Well, by the end of the hour-long appointment with Molly and Shelby, I was completely sold on going with Brilliant Earth. They made me feel understood and listened to (which a few other jewelers I went to failed at), and provided some great recommendations while making sure I stayed under my budget. In the end, I said that I needed some time to think, but ultimately I was sold on the quality of the setting, the customer care by Molly and Shelby, and the ease-of-mind from having a lifetime warranty on the setting (additional purchase) from a well-known company with multiple locations. I placed the order 30 minutes after the appointment, and started the 2 weeks wait for my ring. When the order finally came through, I made sure to set an appointment with Molly to review the ring. While reviewing, I noticed that 2 of the prongs were not symmetrical (small detail, not noticeable to a casual eye), but Molly and her manager were extremely apologetic, made sure to take note of it, and let me know that after I did the proposal, they would immediately have the manufacturer correct their mistake. Throughout this entire process, Molly was very communicative and extremely helpful. Now I am just looking forward to bringing my now-fiancée in to meet her and Shelby, with the excuse of a resizing. You have to make an appointment to be helped in the store but you can tell them the styles you're interested in and they'll make sure to have them available for you to see on the day of your appointment. I will say that they made it the easiest, most painless and friendliest experience we could've ever asked for. We have little to no background in jewelry, and both Bryce and Rachel were more than happy to answer our many questions, explain the differences between our rings, and demonstrate it all in the showroom. Bryce was easily available via email and was kind enough to take notes on all the rings like the most. That made it smooth and easy for Rachel to be prepared for our appointment with her. Don't buy here unless you try it out in person. Rings have to be picked up exactly 60 days from the day they are ready. They won't even resize it. Be careful about the sizing. My boyfriend didn't know the size and they won't size it after 60 days and won't go lower than half a size because they said it affected the integrity of the ring. Spent $30,000 and not happy. Spoke to 4 representatives and their customer service is terrible. They don't make notes and don't follow up and their response is there's nothing they can do. Customer service said this is not covered by the lifetime warranty and they could either fix it for $1200 or recycle the metals and reset it - this would cost approximately $800. My SO and I went in to the show room with an appointment and had a wonderful appointment with Ana. We picked a diamond and a ring and ordered everything with a window of 2 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately after leaving the appointment, Brilliant Earth made every future experience as miserable as possible. The ring was delayed 5 times with no reasoning given and it is impossible to reach the shop. You cannot call them directly as they send everything to an international call center that does not have updated information and will not transfer you to the store. After a month of delays, the ring arrived in the shop. We went to pick it up however the ring was manufactured improperly. It was not centered, one of the prongs was too short and warped, and the base of the ring was not polished and rough. This was confirmed by the shop and the manager and the ring was sent back to be remade. The remade ring was delayed 2 additional times, and after 3 weeks eventually the manager called me and told me that the ring would not be arriving it time for our proposal trip. This was extremely disheartening and sad. They offered a refund that they stated would take an additional 14 business days, but this was shortened after I escalated it. So after 2 months, I end up with nothing. I would not recommend the company to anyone. Ana at the shop was nice, this was not an issue with her, but the company overall is dishonest, unorganized, impossible to reach, and difficult to work with. Please avoid at any cost. read more

My husband had a great experience designing my ring for me (it turned out better than I could have imagined) and we've both loved the team anytime we've interacted with them. Purchasing "beyond conflict free" diamonds was an important piece of our story because the meaning of the ring felt so much more special knowing that the diamonds were ethically sourced. I've been to the storefront at UTC a few times, twice to get my ring cleaned for my engagement photos and wedding, and once to get it resized. They've always been kind and responsive and a delight to work with. I also stopped by the Brilliant Earth in the Stanford Shopping Center when I was in the Bay Area and needed a replacement ring size adjuster (when my ring was too big) and they ALSO cleaned it for me. I came here to say how unsatisfied I am from the Brilliant Earth service team and their diamond "specialists". My experience is almost a year old and still relevant to this day. I'm writing this because a person in my life is engagement ring shopping and I specifically told them not to go here, so here I am warning others. In this case, I didn't get what I paid for. When selecting my engagement ring and wedding band with my now husband, I was very much involved in the process and was specific on what I wanted. They missed the mark. I will say my rings are beautiful, but the setting they were placed in was not what I wanted when creating this custom order. I'll attach a photo for reference, but I wanted a baguette type wedding band. Great, I got that. But what I didn't get was 2 rings that are compatible with one another. The diamond on my engagement ring sits low and clashes with the wedding band. There's a noticeable gap between the two rings when it specifically wanted them to sit flesh with each other. The setting on my engagement ring should've been higher. I thought this would be an easy fix... Engagement happened in July, the rings were purchased and special ordered together the same day we went in the store and took weeks to come in. Fast forward to a couple weeks before my wedding just 2.5 months later (October) I tried on my wedding band and to my surprise i was unhappy with what was described and sold to me as the "most perfect set". I went in the store and discussed with another sales associate because our salesman was on his lunch break. This woman told me that there was nothing they could do before my wedding, and told me I should've come in sooner because we've surpassed the 30 day "policy". What she offered to me was we could take my current ring with the setting that was sold to us, and put it towards purchasing a new setting, something that sits higher above the wedding band. I was rightfully upset and wasn't going to get what i wanted before the biggest day of my life. I was also pregnant at the time so this wasn't something I wanted to fight about and figured I'd go back another time and speak to a manager. To this day, nothing has been done to make this right and as a customer who's husband spent a great amount of money I feel like our salesman didn't deliver and the boutiques team wrote me off. I really should've made this review earlier, and I guess I should've tried on both of my rings within those 30 days but I really wasn't thinking about it because I felt rest assured this company nailed my vision and made what they said they were going to make. My mistake. Buyers beware, if this is a place you're planning on spending money please don't let these details fall through the cracks and learn from me. I love the quality of these diamonds and my rings still make me so happy. But there's a piece of me that feels like some trust was broken along the way and now my husband and I need to go somewhere else to fix this. read more
