    Shrimp and strawberry salad
    Julia S.

The lady who greeted us is really friendly and makes you feel welcome and at home. Our party ordered: Jerk Chicken- I tried a small bite and it tasted nice with some ham mash and veggies. Crab cakes- good but "not super crabby", I was told the mash potatoes was the best part. Shrimp and strawberry salad- I heard it was yum but didn't try it. Looked refreshing! Smoked salmon and fettuccini- super cheesy, heavy, and huge. Smoked salmon was hard to find but had a good smokiness when I did find a speck. Overall the vibes were on, hospitality was awesome, portions were great, pricing was pretty good, food was standard. I think I might've had a better experience with the fish n chips which had awesome pricing but I was so fried out I wanted something else.

Cute seating under the canopy tent.

Truthfully a 3 1/2 rating but service so welcoming I bumped it up. We stopped in at 1:00 on a Monday to try this cute spot we'd seen last year when doing the Gondola boat ride in same parking area. We order a 3-pc halibut/chips $15, a bowl of clam chowder and 2 soda cans. Came to $31 before tip. You order at the trolley window and you pick food up there when ready. They have covered and uncovered seating area very convenient. Order took about 10-12 minutes. Glad we ordered 3 pc fish as they were very small portions, a different coating...tasted like corn/masa, not too heavy but a bit gummy on inside. For fresh halibut it wasn't a stand out unfortunately. Ample fries ( crinkle cut) that were crispy, like the sprinkle of herb (parsley?), although we smelled a slightly fishy smell unclear if fries cooked in same fish oil, tarter good. We only had a taste of the chowder because we find it nearly impossible to enjoy properly with a small plastic spoon. One ends up spilling more down the front of you then consuming. We brought home, it was nice and creamy (butter added richness) and appreciated not tasting like bacon or being a chunky potato soup. I would order again, $8 fair price for bowl. Curious to try other menu options like steam clams, calamari, etc.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Amazing location and fantastic food. Outdoor seating only or to-go orders.

Omgg one of the freshest salads I've had and the salmon was slightly - ever so slightly undercooked which I like!!!!! Grilled to perfection and the vinaigrette really compliments the salad. The fruit in the salad was nice and healthy and super fresh!!! Lady was super nice too. Would come back again to try more goodies. Also reasonable prices!

I couldn't find any decent places to try in the area except for this, and I don't regret it. The Trolley is a really fun experience with nice shaded outdoor seating. On a sunny day, it's the highlight of Gig Harbor. The seafood is actually fresh--I was quite surprised--but the way it's cooked and prepared is just ok. I would recommend the fried calamari, but not the fish and chips. The clam chowder is kinda milky but ok. Also, you can just appreciate the fact you can still get $2.50 drinks here.

Excellent service. Carlene was very friendly and fun to talk with. Halibut sandwich was average. Fries were hard but flavorful. Salad was delicious. Kaiser roll was a bit hard. 30 minute wait because they get many phone offers for take out. Enjoy!

Cuban style burger with side salad

Every time I visit the downtown marina area in Gig Harbor I've been meaning to try the Trolley @ the Boatyard. It's aesthetically cute and the trolley concept alone draws you in with curiosity. It's only outdoor seating, but they do have some umbrellas and a small tented area for the wet and cold season. I ordered the Cuban-style hamburger with a side salad and my husband ordered a fish n' chips with halibut. The staff are also friendly and it gives a welcoming small town restaurant vibe. I opted for a side salad instead of fries, and I wish they'd put the salad separate from the burger. It made the salad hot and soggy. I didn't end up finishing the salad. The burger was spectacular though! You can have the meat cooked how you want (pink, some pink, no pink) and it comes stacked with meat and toppings. I wish I would have asked to cut it in half, too. The meat really leveled up the burger, seasoned and cooked well. My husband enjoyed the halibut, but hoped the pieces would have been a bit larger. They had a good batter and flavor. It's a must visit place if you're in Gig Harbor; good food and a unique atmosphere.

    Waiting for food.

Service and ambiance was great. Food was way below par. 1. Chowder tasted like butter, lots and lots of butter. 1 out of 5 2. Crab cakes were 3 out 5. 3. Fish was 3.5 out of 5 Was hoping this place was going to be great but it's well below a gig harbor mentioned. I believe the burger I saw should have been the direction to go but I'll hold off for a week or 2.

I was here last year and had great food, so I decided to come back. Had a bowl of clam chowder that was delicious and well-balanced. Comes with oyster crackers. I got stung by a wasp while I was in line and the woman who takes orders was awesome in getting me some ice. She's always funny and great when I eat here. Had the fish and chips last year and they were also from scratch , fresh and super tasty! Very reasonable prices in today's economy!

We really enjoyed lunch at the Trolley. Our order was taken swiftly and the owner of this small business was very nice and full of character. We went late afternoon on a cool day and ate in the heated tent. We had the Cuban hamburger (cooked a perfect medium, juicy, flavorful and filling. It came with fries (well-seasoned and crispy) or salad; 4.5/5) and a cup of clam chowder (thick and tasty with bits of clam and potatoes; 4/5). Overall, a very tasty meal and we'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Stopped in while staying on nearby Raft Island. We were looking for the Marketplace Grille because we ate there last time we were vacationing in Gig Harbor. After some research online, we found the restaurant closed, but the same owners own The Trolley @ the Boatyard. They have two designated parking spaces directly in front. You order at the trolley, and then they call your name when it's ready. We ordered the steamer clams and halibut fish & chips. Both were really good. The steamers were fresh and came with melted butter and extra broth. The halibut fish & chips came with perfectly seasoned crinkle cut fries and yummy tartar sauce. The order came out fast, and the service was super friendly. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Food was delicious!! Had the halibut fish and chips. The fish was tender, and the crinkle cut french fries were extra crispy!! Definitely recommend.

This location is outdoors only. It's a little like dining at an out door food truck. Fish and chip were good.

When you walk in they have a host stand where they will greet and seat you. The dining room is large but it did get pretty full while we were there. They have patio seating first come first serve as well as bar seating. The menu is fairly standard for a breakfast spot, however, everything seemed to be made from scratch and their biscuits were exceptional. This place lives up to the hype, definitely worth a stop if you're looking for breakfast in the gig harbor area.

A few diners enjoyed the outside patio but some looked a bit chilly. Devoted kiss has excellent service. We were greeted right away and given water then we ordered: a piece of banana bread French toast with bacon (kid), the dkc biscuit-wich, and the corned beef (along with coffees for the adults and a milk for kid). They don't have a published kid menu but will make adjustments for kid meals (like our daughter's 1 piece of French toast). I think her meal ended up rung up about $10 plus $2.50 kids milk). Coffee came in large cups so we never ran out (they did refill periodically). A little wait for food which was within reason for how busy they were. We all loved our food. Our kid devoured her banana bread French toast and we both loved our meals. We did end up with take home boxes for leftovers (which I noticed a lot of people had!). I looked around and saw other diners with interesting meals that I wanted to try. When we were leaving a little later (maybe 9:45 am), there was a wait of probably 4 tables. Restaurant still busy. Bathrooms were clean, we parked on the street outside the restaurant but saw some people park a little farther and walk, restaurant buzzed with activity (a little noisy but within reason for number of people). This would be a nice spot to bring an out of town visitor to, if you can make it early or don't mind a wait. Food is worth it.
