Ample outdoor seating, mimosas while you wait to be seated, fresh salads, enormous sourdough pancakes, and the most incredible cinnamon rolls that are so hot and fresh you'll be drooling over them. Since this is a popular place in Gig Harbor you can expect a long wait on a sunny day, but staff do a great job of turning tables and getting everyone seated as promptly as possible. My fellow Stadium HS alumni and I gather every month or so, especially in Summer. This was my first time to sup at Netshed No. 9 and the first time the lads and I dined at this Gig Harbor restaurant. The lads enjoyed their food served up by bright and smiling wait staff. Netshed No. 9's location on the water - especially on such a bright and sunny day - provides a perfect PNW dining experience on their deck. My cup of clam chowder was enjoyable although the small cubes of potatoes outnumbered clams. The Chop Chop Chicken salad was lovely, especially the ample and freshly grilled chicken along with diced fresh tomatoes, blue cheese, hard salami, hard smoked mozzarella atop a bed of nicely dressed mixed greens. I'll state my personal preference for romaine lettuce but that did not deter me from being a member of the clean-plate club. If the weather is cooperating, this is a great venue for a lunch with friends. read more

Pros: The food here is good and they are very friendly staff. Cons: There's been a few times now its a 30 minute plus wait for the food to arrive after ordering. That is a very long time to wait when people are hungry and it does factor into my decision of coming here often. One doesn't wait this long at equally popular restaurants in the area like Devoted Kiss, Tides Tavern, Puerto Vallarta, or Anthony's. If they could just improve the time efficiency I would come here more. read more

Where do I start? Our server, Laura was amazing and so genuinely funny! In addition, she helped guide us with our choices. We ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich with a side salad and the Chop Chop Chicken salad. The Spicy Chicken Salad was really spicy (they warn you on the menu) and it was delicious! The side salad was one of the best salads I've ever had. It's prepared with Beecher's cheese curds, House made Green Goddess dressing and heavenly baked tomatoes. The flipping tomatoes are a game changer! And Laura was able to describe how they were prepared, which I really appreciated. Totally simple but a game changer in the flavor profile of this salad. My husband's Chop Chop Chicken salad was amazing, according to him and it also contained the cheese curds and baked tomatoes. Clearly, I am a little over the top with the tomatoes, but they were so good! The view from the deck was magical. We will definitely be back! Thanks again to Laura! Saw this as highly recommended on Yelp so we stopped by around midday on the weekend. They are brunch-ish restaurant. The majority of the seating is outside on the patio which sits not just ON the water but OVER the water - very cool. The indoor seating is minimal. They do include heaters with the outdoor tables but they are randomly situated so you just luck out or you don't depending where you are are seated. The heat does NOT spread. And it's a bit windy on the patio, as one might imagine, being that it is right on top of the wharf - that is just a side effect of wharfside dining nearly always., There are umbrellas for the tables to keep off the sun and for the most part very few flying critters (thanks to that pesky breeze maybe). Service. I would have liked to see more smiles. It almost seems to be a directive from management that none of the staff smile. There are some spots in the U.S. that like to foster a Parisian vibe with their wait staff and maybe this is one. Now, don't get me wrong - they were very professional, they were getting the job done, just personally, smiles. A few excuse me's and pardon me's work wonders as well. I've been to Netshed twice this summer, both times for breakfast/brunch. They don't take reservations and it seems that they can get pretty busy on a weekend morning. If you are looking for a traditional breakfast (or anything close to that) you won't find it here. Most of the menu items are interesting takes on breakfast/brunch. I've had the mushroom frittatas and the rio grande scramble, both quite flavorful (chimichurri on the scramble) but lacking that 'breakfast-y' vibe if you know what I mean. The frittata I initially really enjoyed until I tasted the tomato jam, which brought an unexpected eclectic sweetness to an otherwise savory dish. It's definitely just preference there. We had heard great things about the cinnamon roll skillet, expecting large rolls with with globs of icing like on their website photo. We were pretty disappointed with dry rolls that tasted like they'd been sitting out for a while. Definitely bummed about that. The wording on the menu is cute and "punny", making the menu fun to read. The service was also great both times. The servers were super nice and prompt. The coffee is also delicious, as well as the incredible view on the back patio. read more

I'm just not a fan of the menu. Hard to find an entree that didn't include deli meat or eggs. I settled on the Turkey Croque Madame. A little disappointing - honestly, the turkey tasted like something out of an Oscar Meyer package. Lots of gooey cheesy white bread, bacon & an egg on top. Came here for brunch. Service was good, waitress checked on us just enough. We sat outside in a heated tent, but if the demand is that high, then I'm good with it. Tent was warm and dry. I ordered the breakfast burger, the homemade English muffin reminded me more of a biscuit but it was tasty. I had a red beer... there pilsner and Bloody Mary mix was interesting, I wouldn't order another one but it was fine. Overall a solid brunch place. Tab was $120 for 4 people; that was 4 entrees, 3 mimosas and 1 red beer. I probably won't be back because of the location but you can't go wrong if you are in the area. You can't beat the location (unless you want parking!) if this place. It's definitely got that going for it, super cute waterfront in downtown. The rest leaves lots to be desired... I had the mushroom frittata which sounded amazing but was anything but. It was sooooo dry with wildly overcooked eggs (eggs should never be dark brown) and it had very little actual mushrooms. The only real flavor was the feta cheese but even that was lacking. The potatoes were sadly cooked from frozen, and were very disappointing. My husband had the burrito and while he said the sauce was good, the actual burrito was lacking. There was hardly any meat inside and the tortilla was super undercooked, even though it had clearly spent some time under a heat lamp. Our server was nice enough, but it didn't make up for the poor quality of the food. It also didn't make up for the absolutely filthy bathroom, or the dirty tables and floors. Well, here we are again. We all know I'm a brunch snob. A weekend without brunch is a failed weekend. A weekend without a fabulous brunch is a waste of life. Well, Netshed proved to be a successful brunch and I look forward to returning! As I catch up on my 2025 reviews, I am learning to appreciate my "cliffnotes" that I leave for myself to remember what to say in my review. For Netshed, my notes were: "Lovely lil restaurant in the heart of Gig Harbor, on the water with perfect views!" Netshed No 9 is a small lil brunch gem that is tucked away and easily overlooked. Make sure to call ahead, they get busy. It's worth the wait. We waited for an indoor seat, as I'm a wuss when it comes to sitting outside in the winter. We got a seat with a view. Friendly staff, great brunch options, and the food is solid! For Gig Harbor, you can't beat Netshed for brunch. They truly are superior. Whenever someone comes to visit, I HAVE to take them to Netshed. Not only is the location perfect, perched right on the water with active seals in the bay, but the food is SO good! I always get the French toast, it's always fresh and filling. I would recommend paying the $2 (or whatever it is) to split this with someone. Also, they do a great cranberry mimosa. I didn't mind waiting 40 minutes for a table for 2. I DID mind the attitude from the hostess who insisted I could not bring in the cup of coffee I had purchased elsewhere while waiting. We originally intended to walk the entire harbor. Half way through we spied Net Shed No. 9, we had our small dogs with us and asked if they had outdoor seating that they would allow our puppies to join. The hostess said absolutely, which made us very happy for our impromptu breakfast stop. We were seated on the patio in a tented area with a small fire pit next to the table, which is absolutely perfect for a cool 40° breakfast in the sunshine. The perfect spot for a perfect day. The fog was lifting, the sky was blue - it was almost 60 degrees - and for a March 1 date, what a treat! On so many levels. The staff were great, beginning with the hostess, the seater, and then the waitstaff. The helpings were significant - the prices unexpectedly reasonable, and we opted to wait the 25-ish minutes to be able to sit outside. I had the pork hash, sunnyside eggs, all to die for including the sourdough bread. I'm a big breakfast fan, yet found nothing on the menu that was really for breakfast or brunch aficionados . Not a fan of the menu, my wife's frittata was thin, dry and had an odd aftertaste. My breakfast sandwich- the muffins were too thick and sweet. Sausage too tricked out with spices and the egg whites still runny. Cubed potatoes stale and bland. Sorry to say, we left most of our food on the plates, paid and left. Suggestion- if you're going to offer breakfast, master the basics. Stop thinking creativity supersedes excellent fundamentals in breakfast food execution. Chill out on the spices and goofy dishes/offerings and make a really good omelet, potato and breakfast meat. I've been living in this area for about a year and a half and I hadn't been here yet. I had a guest for brunch and we decided on this place. It was a busy Sunday morning, we were seated outside which was just beautiful it was perfect outside with a view of Mount Rainier! It is very clean and the waitresses were very sweet. It did take a while for them to come take our order after we got our drinks, but like I said it was busy. We ordered the Rio Grande scramble which was delicious, in my opinion just a little bit too much cheese that was melted all over the place and thick if you like cheese that's perfect! It is a very large portion so sharing is a good idea. We wanted to try their waffles so we ordered a waffle with just butter and syrup and I was pretty surprised at how small it was. I would think they would dress it up with some powdered sugar or something but it just came dry on a plate with butter and syrup on the side and it was very small. But nonetheless it was good! I have been looking forward to having breakfast here as it was recommended to me knowing we are foodies. I gave them 2 stars mainly for scenery as the service was horrible. We had the stuffed biscuit which is not stuffed at all. More like an upscale pig in a blanket. For the price the size was rather small potion. I didn't see chunks of Beecher cheese maybe it was grated into biscuit. We ordered cinnamon rolls but it didn't come out until we asked about it. It was the first thing we ordered but the waiter looked as if he didn't know what we were talking about. I wished we had just cancelled it because it reminded me of pillsbury. Even Annie's is better. We also got the mini version it was so small. At first I thought there were two sizes because the table next to us got the big version. Lol! If you have never been to OR for breakfast maybe this place would be good but to us it was a one and done. We saw our waiter 3 times and were never asked about the meal. We had a group of 11 but they didn't have the space to accommodate. We split up and only had to wait about 10 minutes for Saturday brunch. I ordered a Buffalo Milk and The Passion of the Hash. The Buffalo Milk has "secret" ingredients and didn't arrive until after our food but was a yummy iced coffee drink. It kind of reminded me of a McDonalds frappe. The hash was good but needed a little more of a kick. I would order it again! Be careful with the red hot sauce you only need a few drops is enough!! Found ourselves in Gig Harbor which was a first time for me. I found it a decent place. They have an old town type waterfront with businesses and restaurants. We went to Netshed No 9 for lunch before the long 90 mile drive home. We got there around 1130 and were seated out on their deck which overlooks the harbor. It's scenic and nice if the weather is good. They have propane heating out there as well. They have a dining room too which looked crowded and sounded loud with everyone trying to be heard over the din. Their menu is diverse and breakfast food heavy which if you follow me at all is so not my thing. They do have other food and I ordered what is called a Rubenesque Panini. It's pastrami, cheese, pickles and tomatoes pressed in a panini iron. The menu said the pastrami is piled high but I didn't exactly find it to be that. It was very good. I added a cup of chili which was amazing. Mrs Billy D got a banh-mi sandwich which looked very tasty. I would get that if I go back. We got there at the right time because the place filled up with people wearing name tags on lanyards. There must have been some kind of convention or something. Sorry no photos. I left my phone in my truck when I parked. I hovering over the three star button but I'll just leave it at four. read more
