We felt unsafe during this crazy time, and since we had old wiring from old Brinks Security, we gave Brinks a call first. Contacted Michael through Yelp Messaging Tuesday evening, he responded in 3 minutes, then we talked briefly on the phone, then he was in our house in 30 minutes. Spent first 15 minutes going over the packages, and we chose the simplest one... or so we thought. Michael did not try to up sell anything. The installation took longer than we expected, because Michael's partner was on the road and the FW required some updating. Michael did not show any signs of impatient and carefully checked his work, even removed older Brinks wiring and equipment for us. He spent the last 20 minutes teaching us and made us use the panel and app to arm and disarm. Detailed, courteous, and professional. Their systems, software and hardware are top of the line, reasonably priced and are professionally installed utilizing wireless technology. Nothing but quick, clean installation. Michael is terrific! I just bought a new house in Roseville and needed security and cameras. I called in the morning and set up time to meet that evening! Michael arrived on time and designed the system around my needs. Very happy with the cost. Much less than I expected. Plus it lowered my insurance %15 a year. Install iwentvsmooth and super-super clean. Plus the equipment is top of the line and encrypted too. That's important now days with hackers. I have been a customer of Brinks Home Security for a few years and I had troubles with a false alarm and with an alarm that would go off intermittently and I had service people out to try to fix it. They fixed it but I was still getting emails every day from Brinks to say that an alarm went off and I'm thinking, "no alarm is ringing." And the real reason I am giving them a bad review is because they say I signed a four year contract with them, and I went with another security alarm system and I can't get out of my four year contract at $53.39 per month. My new security system has three video cameras, and I am very happy with it. However, when I put in my intent to to cancel, Brinks finally offers me the same system but too late. Why weren't they trying to offer me this before I tried to cancel? Anyway, I am not able to get out of this contract without paying $53.39 times the remaining 36 months I have left on the contract and I think this is highway robbery! I think that they must be really desperate for customers if they have to charge you for getting out of a contract, that, by the way, I have no record of getting into this contract. I'm sure I did not sign for anything. I am a senior on a limited income and this is unacceptable. They said I agreed to the contract by email. I hang onto everything and I would have at least taken a print screen or printed out this contract probably the fine print said something that I did not read and still very upset and please beware do not sign up for lengthy contracts with Brinks. read more
