This location is great! Parking is available all around the restaurant! We were welcomed the moment we walked in and sat by Rufo! The staff was wonderful. Our server was so kind and they were very prompt and always made sure we were happy and taken care of. I ordered the Lamb chops with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Don't come here expecting to make it a quick meal, even during lunch service. Expect that you'll be here for a bare minimum of 1.5 hrs, if your party is small. And don't expect to hardly get checked on. Came during a weekday for lunch and they seem to be understaffed. Our waiter did his best but he appeared stretched thin. And they didn't do anything special for my birthday. Our server whose name I don't remember wasn't very happy or friendly. He was actually a little bit curt and seemed put out to be there--maybe a bad day? He was straight up rude to the kids at the table next to us, too. I went on a Monday evening, it was very quaint and not crowded, they make sure to seat you spread out, I enjoyed that! The food was delicious. I ordered a lasagna and my friend got the pasta brio. Both great plates. A TAD bit pricey for the entrée alone, but nothing crazy. The bathroom needs just a slight scrub down, the tiles just don't look good. Otherwise everything was great! I came here with a group of women for Galentine's Day. My friend reserved a table for 25 and each of us paid $35 to cover the cost of food, taxes and tip. I paid $35 for unlimited coffee in which I only had 1 cup since they were really busy with other tables outside of our large party. I ordered their berry French toast thinking it was all sorts of berries when it was just strawberry. The French toast tasted like any other ones I've had before. I was hoping that it would different or have some sort of pizazz to it. The mimosa was an extra cost and it was just ok. We asked the server to take our photo and she asked for extra tip. I understand when the server is trying to be comical and friendly, but it wasn't good timing. The girls haven't had their coffees refilled yet, some people were done eating before their food came out, it was a hot mess. The food and experience wasn't worth the prepay cost. It's always fine, but just a tiny bit off here. I feel like it's trying so hard not to be Cheesecake Factory, but at it's heart, this is kinda a Cheesecake Factory. Menus are incredibly large and difficult to read. Like just holding them is hard, and getting it to stay upright so you can read it is hard. Also, descriptions for the food are not good. Every time I have come here I have been adequately whelmed. Socks have never been blown off. Often, I'm a wee bit disappointed. Decor is all over the place. It's very over the top. It feels like it's trying to be upscale, but it's honestly so much? And the food just isn't that much. I've never had a problem with a server. Came here for a cute dinner date with my daughter. She got the kids Mac n cheese and I got the pasta a la vodka, I also added a Caesar salad. The Caesar isn't anything special, for an additional $7 to add to a meal, I would skip it next time. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. I think adding shaved Parmesan rather than grated would bump up the delicious factor. My daughter loved her meal, rigatoni and Alfredo basically. I enjoyed my meal as well. The pasta alla vodka had little pouch like raviolis. They were filled with a ricotta mixture and topped with vodka sauce and crispy pancetta (although mine felt more like crispy prosciutto, both are delicious). The sauce was a tad spicier than I expected, but not super spicy. I could still eat it just fine but my head was warm after finishing. I usually am okay with about a mild-medium spice level for reference. The service was good, nothing great nor anything bad, just run of the meal staff. I would go here again. The place was empty and with only 2 other people on other tables and they had another tables all dirty. On the table next to us, they left some kind of plastic box for the dishes for like 10 minutes. Sour bread was hard and super difficult to eat. Lasagna from my partner had the middle layer hard and the taste was okey. Valentine's Day on a Monday is no fun at all. We worked a long day and hadn't made dinner plans, so on a whim, we got out of the house to see what was available for dinner. After stopping at a few places, we stumbled upon Brio. They had 2 seats available at the bar, so that's where we landed. For starters, we ordered a Tito with tonic and a Strawberry Basil Limonada. The strawberry drink was supposed to be made with vodka, fresh strawberries, fresh basil, lemonchello, and lemon juice. Maybe my expectations were too high, because I was envisioning a beautiful drink garnished with a strawberry and fresh basil leaves. What I got instead was a not-so-pretty drink with just a piece of lime. While it wasn't appealing to the eye, it did taste good. I asked the bartender to go easy on the alcohol, so he doubled the drink size without doubling the charge. We had a fresh mini loaf of sourdough which tasted great! I've always believed the bread is a good indication of what's to come. Under normal circumstances this is true, but perhaps holidays are an exception. We each ordered a salad, the wedge salad and the chopped salad. Both salads were good and we enjoyed them. My chopped salad was chopped iceberg, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, olives, and mozzarella cheese (I had them replace feta with mozzarella). It was good, but some Romain or other greens would have been a plus. For the entree, we ordered the lobster and shrimp fettuccini and the ravioli di bello. The lobster and shrimp fettuccini was a tad bit on the salty side, but was flavorful and came with a generous amount of shrimp and lobster, well mainly langostino and shrimp, not real lobster. The menu said main lobster, which was misleading. The pasta was under cooked and clumpy. I bit into a big ball of fettuccini and wasn't quite sure what it was. There were quite a few clumps of it. I only ate a few bites of it and took the rest home for the next day. I re-heated it in a skillet and added fresh lemon, so the dish was better the next day. My pasta was cooked, and the sauce was no longer salty. The ravioli di bello was rich and flavorful, textured just right. Aside from my clumpy and slightly salty and undercooked pasta, we had a pleasant spontaneous Valentine dinner. The bartender was attentive and took good care of us. The kitchen was busy and it took longer than expected to get our food, so he brought extra bread for us. The quality of the food and drinks didn't really stand out. They were good, but not exceptional. The ambiance was nice and it's a beautiful restaurant. My lobster and shrimp fettuccini was the biggest anticipation and ended up being the biggest disappointment. At most, I can only award a 3-star rating. read more

Absolutely rude booking staff. Whatever asshole dude is working the phone deserves to be fired. Brio, tell me why you told my family last Friday we had a confirmed reservation and then proceeded to say we don't have one. One waiter tells us that they close at 8 and the other at 9. As a business owner, I can say that this staff is just terrible at their job and I would never hire such incompetence. Rude to customers when it was their mistake. We will probably never dine here again nor bring any of our business clients/friends. Learn to use your brain, it needs just as much exercise and use as the mouths yall use to make up excuses. read more

This is a nice and welcoming and great for groups. We called ahead and made a reservation. I think they're short staffed and I'm sure they were doing the best they can. But the food was served in shifts, by the time a few people finished the food while others didn't even get it. It wasn't any different orders though. Ordered cajun shrimp pasta which was great anf loaded with cheese and taste good. But chicken Parmesan was (sorry to say) was gross, cold, inedible, can definitely tell it was frozen and not cooked properly. LOVED our Gorgonzola beef medallions so so much. My husband and I were obsessed. I'm not usually obsessed with mashed potatoes but the ones that came with were so beautifully soft and the flavor was incredible. The Calamari wasn't our favorite, there were peppers in it and I hate peppers. The texture was still good though. Our service was very fast and attentive, Maddy was so great. This review is only about the BRIO HAPPY HOUR ON WEEKDAYS FROM 3-6pm. We use to come here for Weekday Happy Hour and loved it. The burger was great, the spinach dip was my fave and (of course) we liked the discounted beer and cocktails! But we haven't been in a couple yrs. We went back last weekend. Burger was smaller (forgot to take a pic) and it was just Ok. We got the flatbread pizza. Also nothing to be excited about. No more spinach dip on that discounted menu. All food on the small happy hr menu was one price ($6). HOWEVER... NO MORE DISCOUNTED DRINKS! When I asked the waitress (who looked barely old enough to drink) what was the point if "happy hour" she left and the manager (a not so nice woman) came over and said that state law is now they cannot discount liquor. AWFUL NEWS! yes, i know....Being from California... this is all shocking... and I keep getting shocked over Utah's liquor absurdity since moving here in 2011 --- especially since we had gone there several times about 2 yrs ago-- for only happy hour! We decided to give Brio a chance after the struggle we had trying to find a place to eat in Fashion Place Mall. Restaurants were incredibly busy for 3 pm! First the bread and butter came out and ymmm! Warm and crispy bread with butter is never a bad way to start a meal. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as a starter. It was pretty fabulous, but I honestly would have liked a little more artichoke. I mean who wouldn't, right? The crisps for dipping were pretty amazing! Friend one ordered the Margherita Flatbread. She said it was really tasty. Friend two and myself ordered the same thing, the Ravioli Di Bello. It was very good! The browned butter sauce really made this dish stand out. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star review is because service was a bit slow. Our food was lukewarm & incredibly bland (you can even see how unseasoned & dry our pasta was in the picture), and although our servers were nice, they had a habit of taking our dishes away before we were even finished with them (I get that there were a lot of us... but, come on.) The price we paid definitely didn't match our experience:/ I thought it was just me, but everyone at our table agreed. I'm really hoping they were just having an off night, as I would love to give this place another chance someday (although, I'd by lying if I said I wasn't a little hesitant). My Daughters favorite place to eat when we visit "The Mothership" aka The Mall. They can get pretty busy on the weekend so I recommend reservations. They have really pretty outdoor seating and a bar inside if you want to go a little more casual. We love to get the Caprese and Bruschetta. The Bruschetta sampler is probably our favorite, you get six slices of toast with three different delicious toppings. Plenty to share and something yummy for everyone's various preferences. The Caprese is delicious and I even grab one when I'm by myself running errands. Our number one favorite item on the menu here is the Pasta Alla Vodka. We love the fluffy ricotta-filled pasta and super yummy spicy tomato cream sauce. They even sprinkle a little heavenly pancetta on top, it's such a delicious dish it's hard not to want to finish it. While I have not tried their desserts I can tell you they make some delicious fruity drinks. The Sangria Rosa tastes like Summer, it's super refreshing and also not too sweet. The Strawberry Basil Limonata is also one you have to try if you love Limoncello like I do. I have always experienced really great service here, everyone from the hostess, to the waitstaff, even the bus boys are sweet. Sadly I have also seen some super rude customers though, I wish everyone would give the workers a little bit more grace during these times when a lot of our favorite places are understaffed.
