We did the tasting menu (food and wine). Everything was good. I really loved the presentation and the attention to details. The service was on par--inviting, warm, and informative. Place is tucked in the back of beehive distillery and it felt intimidate. Overall, we enjoyed the fine dining experience and would come back for their updated seasonal menu.

High expectations going in. Greeted by protestors outside protesting Foie gras which was not on the menu. Didn't get that at all. Service staff were kind and very attentive. Started out with a snack with included a beets salad (tiny) and a tuna snack. The beets one was good. Bread was sour dough and a few other choices. Nothing mind blowing. Soup was an onion truffle which was ok. The white truffle was $150 more which I don't think would have enhanced this dish. Quail pasta in broth was ok. The rabbit aioli was fine. We substituted the lamb for the wagyu. Our friends said the lamb was quite gamey. Wagyu was fine but again not worth the additional $100 each. Dessert was mediocre. I did enjoy the madeleine at the end. Overall bill was north of $600 with one glass of brut. Very expensive for an average meal. Again appreciate the staff and the wine pairing our friend had he stated was good. Food was not worth the price.

    The tastiest dessert.

Overly pretentious and food was so-so. Definitely not worth the price and hassle. Very pricey.

Bad food, even worse service. Ridiculously overpriced for absolutely no reason. You leave hungry after being there for 2 hours.

Le Boeuf is a cute little restaurant with a very romantic atmosphere. I highly recommend making a…read morereservation since seating is pretty limited. Parking is all street parking, and during peak dinner hours it can definitely be hit or miss. We ended up parking a bit farther away and walking over. Service was a little messy during our visit, but I could also tell the staff was trying their best. It seemed like there was only one person taking orders and handling the front, and she looked pretty flustered on a busy night. I also suspect the kitchen may have been understaffed. For appetizers, we ordered the ravioli and the baguette au gratin. Both were delicious. The ravioli was definitely my favorite of the night. It was super rich and heavy, so sharing it was the right move. The baguette itself tasted good, but the cheese on top was cold and had already solidified. It felt like it had been premade and quickly assembled before serving. For our mains, we ordered the duck breast and the beef bourguignon. This is where I really started feeling like the kitchen was struggling a bit. Both dishes came out surprisingly fast, but unfortunately the duck, mashed potatoes, and even the gravy were cold. Not just cooled down, but genuinely cold like they had been sitting out for a while and not kept under a warming lamp. The beef bourguignon was the warmest dish we received, though even that was only lukewarm. The frustrating part is that the flavors were actually really good. The food itself was delicious, but the temperature of almost every dish really took away from the experience.
