I've been going to Jinya for five years, and have gone to a tone of different locations! This one is my least favorite. It was extremely loud and they seemed a bit frustrated when I needed to move tables and put noise canceling headphones in (I can still hear). The noodles were undercooked and the ramen wasn't as good as other locations. I'll go back to Sugarhouse in the future!

For what it lacks in space, this tiny restaurant makes up in flavor. Yes, it's tiny-but that adds to the communal charm. There are tables where you can sit with just your party, or there are larger tables that might seat a mixture of folks-what a fun way to get to know new people! Service was outstanding-the server was friendly and attentive without being over the top. And I appreciate that he acknowledged my date's birthday celebration without making it weird (no clapping and singing here, thank you very much!) The food was delicious! I enjoyed a chicken rice bowl while my dining partner had a traditional ramen bowl. Everything came out as requested and tasted very good. Happy to come back and explore more of the menu items!

Overall, good experience. I had the Tonkatsu Red with a spice setting of 3 out of 8. Definitely hot enough for me. If you want it hotter, there is a container of hot spice on the table or counter. Good portions, char siu was good. The ajitsuke tamago or spiced egg was a whole egg. Nice that they give you a whole egg, but I wish it was cut in half. Eating a whole egg was a bit of a nuisance. The noodles were the straight kind, typical for a tonkotsu broth. Overall, very good. Not THE best I've had but definitely worthy of 5 stars. Service was cheerful. They greet you with "irasshai" (welcome) and a "domo arrigato" as you leave. All said in a gaijin (Caucasian) accent. Nice Asian-ish vibe in the restaurant. I sat at the ramen bar. There are small pots of gyoza sauce, spice, and hot sauce available. $17 for most of their bowls. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for market. Of course, they have other menu items as well. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

The place is very clean and they have table seating and counter seating. I ordered the Original Tonkotsu and added corn. The noodles are thicker than I'm used too but they were cooked perfectly. The broth was stronger in flavor and was a little darker than I'm used to. The waiter was very helpful and answered my questions.

The food was delicious! We had an army full of appetizers. But the best dish was the garlic rice! Super flavorful, the fresh garlic cloves and egg. Ramen noodles was perfect! Service was great! She was very attentive and super kind! The vibe was awesome, felt like I was in a restaurant in the small streets of Japan

Ramen is one of my favorite things in the world. If there's a chance to locate a place that serves it while I'm traveling for work, I will. JINYA is my current go-to in the Murray, UT area. I get there a few times a year for work and it's very close to my hotel. It's a small place. There's a little bar that faces the kitchen, where I've sat on my visits. The staff has always been really friendly and very attentive. The last time I went, I got a sake mojito -- it was unusual but really good! Okay, I got two. The ramen's great. The JINYA Tonkotsu Black is a favorite. I've also gotten some sides and all were good -- especially the sticky bun! The gyoza was also a good choice. Nice place all around and, like I said, it's become my go-to.

Me and my mom go here at least twice a year and the food is always so tasty. This time I ordered their Chef's Special Birria Ramen and I really liked it! I also ordered a sake mojito which was super yum.

I've been on the hunt for GOOD ramen since gaining in in Seattle and it's been tough, till tonight!!!!! This was incredible! So glad for a hot date night!!! Go go go! There was so many take out orders and a long long, so worth it!!!

First timer. Went with the Tonkatsu Black (extra egg). Ran me about $25 including tip. Nice flavor. Solid thin noodle. On par pork and broth. Met expectation for an Utah based Ramen spot.

Amazing food, environment, and staff. Ramen is just delicious. Great list of options for food.

Holy cow, this is probably the best ramen in Salt Lake...the flavors in the spicy chicken ramen are so deep and powerful. The salmon poke tacos were so fresh and refreshing. I could eat 10 of them, haha. The server was nice, but it seemed like they were trying to handle too many tables. They seemed very rushed. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming, but we were seated at a community table across from each other so that was slightly odd. Overall, the food is a stellar 10/10, but the hectic serving and compact seating lowered it to an 8/10

The food also comes out pretty quickly, which is always a plus. There were a couple of frustrations with this visit, though. They had flyers on the tables advertising their new Dino Ramen, and the flyer stated that you could get free ice cream with any Dino Ramen OR any other bowl of ramen. When we went to get the free ice cream, we were told the offer was only valid with the Dino Ramen and that the "any bowl of ramen" offer was only available at their other location. That was pretty confusing considering the flyer was sitting right on our table at this location. If the promotion is different depending on the location, they really need to make that clear on the flyer or not have those flyers out. Service was okay. The food came out quickly, but there wasn't much checking in afterward. We had to go out of our way to ask for things like refills or anything else we needed. Despite those issues, I really enjoy the ramen here, especially the Spicy Tonkotsu and hand pulled noodles, so I'll keep coming back. I just hope they improve the communication around their promotions and become a little more attentive with service.

The broth has excellent flavor with just the right touch of spice, the beef is tender, and the soft bread soaks it all up perfectly. It's messy in the best way possible. The Thai Smash Burger is also excellent -- bold, well-balanced flavors that really stand out. I've enjoyed the drunken noodles as well (great heat and savory depth), and the cucumber salad makes a refreshing side that balances the richer dishes. Location & Vibe: Noodlehead is tucked into the Millcreek development. Depending on traffic and timing, it can be either super convenient or a bit tricky. For me, it's a perfect stop on the way home from work. The service deserves special mention. Every time I've gone, the same guy has been working. He's genuinely friendly, efficient, and seems to be holding down the fort solo. You can tell he takes pride in what he's doing. Overall, Noodlehead delivers solid, flavorful Asian-fusion food with friendly service. I'll definitely be back.
