My order cancelled twice in a row without any explanation. Postmates informed me that this restaurant is "too busy to deal with me". Ok You don't want any new customer. The only reason I ordered is because my kid was sick at home and I just want to have pizza delivery. Lesson learned, I won't spend any cent at your place. read more

The spicy shrimp and eggplant appetiser was large and very tasty. If you added rice or risotto and vegetables to the spicy shrimp you would have a great entree. We shared a couple of dishes. The bruschetta sampler was also delicious and i would order both of them again. The lobster bisque was very good. I wanted more lobster pieces but that is always the case. The wedge salad was fresh and exceptional and was devoured so that the plate was spotless. I was craving for carbs, so a place with pasta and bread sounded perfect! Upon being seated, our waitress was so prompt to greet us, she was super nice and I love how honest she was about the dishes. Which lead me to a very delicious dish, I got the mushroom ravioli. The sauce was so good and the little tomatoes gave it a citrusy kick. If I wasn't so full from my lobster bisque soup (a little bit on the salty side) and the bread I would've devoured it. For appetizer we got the caprese (omg it was so tasty) I literally cleaned the plate with bread because the balsamic and oil was too good to waste. The mozzarella and tomatoes and sauce compliment each other very well. My dining experience was great. The food was delicious and the service made the whole experience pleasant. Due to my awesome pumpkin carving skills I won a very generous gift card to Brio Tuscan Grille at a Yelp Elite party last October. The gift card was given by the management of the restaurant and I was super lucky to win. So with gift card in hand and the holiday craziness finally over the wife and I went out to Brio last week. If you haven't been to Brio yet there is one world and one world alone to describe it: IMPRESSIVE! Brio is simply that, impressive -- from the beautiful interior and design to the food and drinks they serve. Now I'm no aficionado of Italian cuisine. Sure I like it and eat a lot of it, but who doesn't? Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen it seems. But Brio Tuscan Grille is without question the best Italian restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at. One of my biggest gripes with most Italian food is the lack of spice. I like foods with flavor and far too often the Italian food I've eaten elsewhere is bland and boring. Not so with Brio! Their dishes have great flavor and spice and of course they are also great tasting. Our first visit to Brio started off with some drinks, I ordered a speciality martini, and a shrimp and eggplant dish called Spicy Shrimp with Eggplant. The martini was great and the shrimp was absolutely delicious! It had a great flavor, spicy but not over the top, and it was cooked just right. For dinner I ordered the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops at the recommendation of our server Mckay and my wife ordered some pasta dish. You may not believe me when I say this, but the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops were without question the best pork chops I've ever had. They were well marinated, had a great flavor, and were cooked just right. My wife's pasta was also great. Our first dinner at Brio was wonderful. The food was superb and our server Mckay was awesome. He took great care of us and had a great personality too. We've been back to Brio one time since and the experience was also top notch. I love this restaurant and I look forward to eating here many more times! Final word of advice -- Make a reservation. Waits of 30 minutes to an hour are not uncommon and reservations help you avoid unnecessary waiting. read more

For a chain style restaurant, Brio is quite good. Miles ahead of Olive Garden (but that's not saying much) and a few of the dishes I had could easily compete with a good local Italian place. Service was helpful and friendly. The decor looks better than most restaurants of this type with a peaceful atmosphere. This could be a place you could take a date, an important business client, or just relax with the family for the evening. As it should be, the food is the real reason to come to Brio. They bring out some breads when you first sit down and they have a great, perfect crust, warm center sourdough. I didn't quite understand the crusty bread-chips that seemed to explode into pieces when I bit down on them but the blend of herbs on them were flavorful. We tried the calamari appetizer which was quite good. The best part was a wonderful dipping sauce but the calamari pieces were also cooked to a nice soft center with a good chew (not rubbery) and light crust. For lunch, I had the pesto chicken with asparagus and was impressed. Excellent combination of flavors with a nice garlic undertone, spiced chicken, perfectly cooked asparagus (not wilted with just the right amount of crunch) and topped with some salty cheeses and grilled red peppers. I'd get this again and recommend it. I'll come back to Brio. This is a place that knows what it's doing. read more

Brio Tuscan Grille Brio has excellent ambience and service. It's very clean as well. It's the food that's the problem. I had chicken piccata yesterday, it was very subpar. First the chicken was cooked until it was shoe leather and very small. Chicken piccata should have a light lemon sauce with capers. I'm Italian I know. This had brown beef gravy. It was served with very thin asparagus that were woody and could be show laces to go with the leather chicken . There was 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes. All very disappointing for $23 plus tip. They must have a new chef because in the past the food They was always exceptional. Our group of twelve writers would meet there often. Good though the sound level is low enough to have a conversation. The chef needs to go work in a shoe store and leave the chicken piccata to an Italian. read more

The service was just ok. The food doesn't seem to be as good as it use to be. My lasagna was cold, and it taste more like a ravioli than a lasagna. There was only one layer and I would not recommend it. It was expensive and for the price I think Olive garden lasagna is better. This wonder place made our Thanksgiving. Not safe to actually eat there, but ordered Thanksgiving dinner based on the recommend of friends and it was more that I could have hoped for. Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and fresh bread were some of the best I have had anywhere at any time. Dessert (pumpkin bread pudding) was unique and flavorful and I would order again. Even the broccolini, which I am not a fan of, was so well seasoned and prepared I was happy to have a second helping. Brio is a nice classy Italian restaurant. I've been to two locations in SLC. The Murray Fashio Place location is my favorite. The atmosphere here is great. My service has always been amazing! I've been many times for cocktail hours, sat out in the patio and theres a DJ playing in the bar area. Lunch outside in the patio during summer and spring is the best! I've also had large parties here, they've taken great care of us. If you ever go for your birthday they'll even gift you with a free appetizer coupon. read more

Do not...I repeat...Do not order anything with chicken. The chicken tastes like it is already cooked chicken that was frozen and thawed out (with grill lines). I had the Chicken Marsala and it was terrible. It's pretty hard to screw that dish up. My friend order a pasta dish with chicken in and her chicken was rubber. The only good thing were the drinks. Ate here for lunch today and the food was terrible. I was so disappointed as I recommended Brio to my friend. The salads (one chopped and one Caesar were wet and with very little flavor. We were not offered Parmesan or pepper on the salad. The Pasta Brio was under cooked, the chicken was dry and unchewable. The flatbread with sausage and pepperoni was tasteless. Delightful servers who help each other out to make customers feel taken care of. We had fun getting to know server Josh #294 who took great care of the four of us girlfriends on the patio (be aware there may be a pesky fly if you eat outdoors, but the weather was perfect from when we arrived at 6:30 to we'll after dark (they close at 11pm on Friday nights - they didn't rush us one bit as we stayed until close). The bruschetta sampler is unlike any other I've had. All three were on toasted baguettes but they were soft with sauces and cheese instead of brittle and crumbly like other places. Each one had different toppings: roasted red pepper with cheese and basil, sautéed decent size shrimp in tomato cream sauce, and tender sliced steak. Each one comes with three servings (so 9 altogether if you're not wanting to do math). Worth the price for the substantial sized platter of appetizers to share. The four of us got some of the most popular menu items... Gorgonzola Crusted Beef Medallions with roasted vegetables (tasty carrots, broccoli, etc.) and Yukon gold mashed potatoes Pasta Alla Vodka (has some spicy creamy red sauce kick, with pancetta-Italian cured pork belly, which is kind of like fancy ham if you aren't familiar) Campanella Carbonara (creamy white sauce) Wedge Salad (their creamy Parmesan dressing is amazing with the Gorgonzola crumbles) Something Brio does with a smile that isn't universal among restaurants is split checks in almost any ratio imaginable (we did thirds on a desert). Two of us told the server we were going to share a salad and entree... they surprised us by bringing them out on separate plates so we didn't have to delicately balance food across the table with our standard little utensils. That the chefs in the kitchen did that for us automatically makes this girl a fan for life! That added attention to detail is appreciated. I wish other restaurants would do that instead of make me feel guilty or charge extra for sharing/splitting. With Cheesecake Factory around the corner, I didn't think we'd order cheesecake but it is GOOD! Creamy, not too sweet, with a thick, soft, shortbread-like crust. Sometimes we skip eating a crumbly, boring crust, but Brio's crust was lovely. Creme brûlée is nicely done if you're looking for a little something after dinner. Let's face it most restaurant chains either hit the mark or they begin to fall short of what their standards are. This Brio location and the staff there are excellent. I finally enjoyed an amazing Italian meal - thank you!! I have recently been on a mission to try as many Italian restaurants as I could and out of the 6 locations I visited Brio by far outshined each and everyone. I enjoyed the stuffed chicken parmigiana, the spinach & artichoke dip, spaghetti bolognese and the bistecca rib eye. If I could rate them higher I would! I can't say much for this place, I went on a friday and we were told there were no tables and no reservations, but the place was close to empty. so we sat at the bar. The lady was great! no complaints. the food and prices are outrageous. The calamari is so plain and rubbery and the sauces were just lazily put under the calamari and we couldn't even dip it. I asked originally for Brushetta (not the sampler because why would i want three types of brushetta? that's just way too much food) and was told i couldn't just order one type of brushetta. i had to order the sampler. the entrees (chicken parm, salmon, and pasta alla vodka) were pretty plain, especially the chicken parm. looked and tasted like it was microwaved. the prices for this average food is insane. Three drinks, three entrees and one appetizer was $200. ridiculous and honestly i don't think we'll ever be back. read more

I have gone to the Brio in Michigan and there are no issues. I have gone several times to San Tan and every time they mess up my meal. I have to have gluten-free and it is just a nightmare. One of my favorites was the first time the manager stepped in and had them make me a meal it was good. next time they forgot the gf pasta. An Italian restaurant connected to a shopping center/mall..how good could this be? My sister from out of town made the reservation and when we showed up I was skeptical, but was quickly pleasantly pleased. The free valet parking is great! The hostess immediately greeted us and the other four couples I witnessed come in. The general manager came over and seated us. He asked if we had ever been in before, and when he found out it was our first time he made sure to explain they bring out little pizza doughs for kids and then once they're done shaping the dough they get to choose toppings and then the chef bakes them and the kids get to eat their creation! How fun is that?! We had a fantastic waitress along with a waiter-in-training. Both were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful + truly great! As we were looking over the menu we received a complimentary artichoke dip from the GM. They also give bread to the table. We ordered the calamari to start - the best calamari and dip I've had in Utah! Our 2.5 and 4 year olds split the kids lasagna - I had a bite and dang, it's delicious! My sister, my husband and I decided to share 3 dishes so we could try multiple options. We split the Pasta Alla Vodka - great handmade pasta with a delicious light red sauce, Campanelle Carbonara - the crowd favorite (seriously, what pasta dreams are made of), and we had the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops with fingerling potatoes - we were all nervous when the pork chop came out pink but were reassured by our waitress it was perfectly cooked. They didn't have the first bottle of wine we wanted but the waitress recommended a fantastic bottle that we thoroughly enjoyed. We were very well taken care of throughout our dining experience with very attentive wait staff and the GM came back to check-in as well. We came here on New Year's Eve. Although we have been a couple times we have not left a review in the past. The main reason we are writing a review today is the pasta alla vodka . The pasta was stuffed with ricotta cheese, we substituted chicken instead of pancetta. The vodka sauce is deliciously creamy. Some of the best vodka sauce I have ever had. We also had the pollo caprese which was good, but paled in comparison to the pasta alla vodka. We also split a Gorgonzola wedge salad Gorgonzola, bacon, tomato, which we really enjoyed. Previously, we have tried the pasta Milanese, seafood fettuccine, lasagna, pesto pasta and spaghetti with meatballs. We liked the lasagna and pasta Milanese the best out of these options. This is the last time we will dine at Brio. Our lemon chicken had the egg batter out on wrong so the entire thing scrambled. It was so off putting we asked to have it taken off the check. The wine had turned so we didn't finish it. We barely saw our server. The manager came over and blamed us for not liking the chicken. Then brought us a frozen piece of tiramisu and said he would punch the server if we got charged for the dessert. If you're considering Brio, be aware that no wait at any neighboring restaurants will be worth any time or money you spend there. I've visited this Brio location twice recently. The first time was shortly after I first spoke w/the GM, Steve, about having our office holiday party there. I could tell the event would go well by how professional and accommodating Steve was. I took my mother to dinner so I could see the room and get a first hand experience. Steve was not there, but the service was excellent and dinner was delicious, especially the meatballs We had our organization's holiday luncheon there this week and it was absolutely wonderful! The room was festive, the food was delicious. Our head server Matt and his team did a wonderful job. Steve's recommendations for the menu were spot on with the salmon and the pasta a la vodka being huge winners.
