    Chocolate Marshmallow Cookie!
    Aron G.

This is my favourite croissant in Montreal. There, I said it. I know others will disagree, I've heard my fair share of arguments of other places that are "better" but it isn't going to change my mind! Brioche a Tete have mastered the art of a croissant with a crunchy-crackly outer shell, with a soft, buttery, fluffy dough texture on the inside. But don't stop there! Not to be missed are the Choco-Marshmallow Cookies (just as delicious as they sound), and the Chocolatines. As well as a host of other viennoiseries available in the display cases, yum! They also make quiches (meat and vegetarian options available), sandwiches, and fresh coffee. Hibiscus tea from Atigh's (Le Khaima) across the street is also available. I know it's a little hyperbolic, but words cannot describe the perfection of the croissants here, so I won't try any further. That being said, my conscience is torn about giving Brioche à Tête a five star review because unfortunately not every other viennoiserie is as on point. I'm going with five nonetheless because this place is just a little slice of heaven for me. Since I moved to Toronto, hell even before I moved I already knew they had something special, but now I definitely miss them! Go and see for yourself!

As the previous reviewer Eva C wrote this is indeed a hidden gem. If you come early you will see a short line of people or a bunch of happy costumers drinking great coffee and loving every second of it. The made a wonderful latte and the croissant I ate was just perfect. The prices are somewhere between inexpensive and moderate but the quality as I wrote is superb. Mile end is filled with great coffee shops this one I believe is in the top 10% if you are nearby just go for it

I went to try it again and the pastries are very good ! The chai latte was very soft , wouldn't order again

Oh my god, the almond croissant is to die for. Light, fluffy, not too overly sweet and perfect for any time of the day. My cortado was also perfectly made. The brioche is also a great option if you're looking for something else. The place is a little small so this isn't a great spot to sit down and have a conversation but nonetheless, a must go place. Try all the croissants! If you are there early, they'll come out hot and fresh. Definitely one of my favorite places in Montreal.

Finally! Finally! Been trying to eat here for years and it finally came true! And it was worth the wait. The city considers this one of the best croissants and I agree. My second favorite in the city and killer good. Really. Now the owner, is proudest of his brioche so I had to try that too. It was excellent but we cheated and go it straight out of the oven. What a perfect breakfast morning. Enjoy

Spotted this cozy café on the way to Fairmount. Went in to have breakfast before heading to get the bagels; and I'm glad I did. The coffee here is great and the pastries are excellent. My fave is their canele. Its crust has such a rich caramelized flavor; and the inside is so soft. Superb service!! This place is now on the top of my must-stop-by list when visiting Montreal!!

Perfection. Marshmallow and chocolate chip cookie. Literally melts in your mouth

If great coffee and perfect croissants served by handsome, smiling men is not your thing, then this is not the place for you.

I did enjoy the subtle sweetness that it came with it but the croissant definitely overshadows this pastry.

I walked in and it was the most elegant desert I have ever seen it's right off of the main strip. The young man at the counter was so friendly and helpful. His name was Mazhar! He took the time to tell me all of the different options. He also let me sample something that was super tasty. My first order was a cheese like pastry with cream on the inside. He topped it with pistachios! My favorite. Then I got a tart with pistachios. The tart was so flaky and airy. I wish I could buy 100 more. He put it on the most elegant tray. The place is extraordinary. He let me sample the ice cream. It's freshly made. I wish I knew how to describe it. But it was great. I made a second order. Ice cream with pistachios. He even topped it with cotton candy style strips. This place is amazing and the best customer service. Wonderful date spot

While this storefront located in the middle of office buildings, when you walk inside the absolutely beautiful decorations remove you from the urban hustle and bustle. The other Pâtisserie Mahrousé location is the original, dating back to 1970 when it was started by a Syrian pastry chef. Was eager to try their fatayer, savory pastries. Surprised to learn that they didn't sell here single, individual Fatayers, I was extremely happy the super friendly staff allowed me to mix and match to make it a pack of 6! (My choice of Fatayers included the delicious Tomato with Olives, Spinach, Cheese and round Za'atar!) Before pulling away, my brother and his wife decided to join me inside. The welcoming people behind Pâtisserie Mahrousé's counter encouragingly offered us tastings of their delicious sweets. One was a Kunafeh sweet cheese pastry, another similar to a nut filled Baklava. Their mouthwatering sweet treat selection was impressive. (Note - Many traditionally incorporate pistachios, on trend since as I've repeatedly noted "Pistachio is the new Hazelnut!") We were able to truly relax in Pâtisserie Mahrousé's comfortable window seating with brass tables facing the well designed interior instead of the modern surroundings. An effective, well thought out layout! While my brother ordered an espresso, I tried their flavorful, thick Arabic coffee. It achieved an unanticipated moment of zen for us all! Would recommend here for anybody interested in a delightful sweet or savory bite! Looking forward to my next time in Montreal when I plan on making the original Pâtisserie Mahrousé location a stop on my trip!

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.
