I like the abundance of non-dairy creamer options. I like the very Maine themed lattes (like, The Golden Road? IYKYK) I like the very seasonal themed lattes. I like that they're dog friendly. I asked them if it was possible to get the Down East Maple Latte iced (with an extra shot) and additionally a healthy sprinkle of sea salt. It was the saltiest latte I've ever had in my life, but like, in a good way? It was a gentle amount of sweet, strong on the espresso flavor, and salty. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be on my list of "work from home" cafes. The atmosphere was bright and comfortable. Also the food truck (that they started from) still serving as the kitchen is so cute and unique. I ended up getting the Toffee Coffee and a six pack of donuts (cinnamon sugar and maple glazed). Everything was delicious. The donuts were little puffs of fluffy batter - I would have enjoyed them plain just as much I think. Needless to say - I was in a bit of a sugar coma after my visit!

Morning Moose Coffee is an inviting coffee shop situated a moment from the new bridge that connects Topsham to Brunswick. I checked this place out today with my long time buddy who needs physical support with most of his daily living. I was happy to see that the entrance was a smooth ramp up to the door which made our transition inside flawless. The warm and inviting space was matched with the employees behind the counter. The menu items were tantalizing and unique. Our mini donuts came out prompt, fresh, and warm. I tried to be good and eat just one but each one sent me to the moon that I had to have another. ...and another. The seating ranged in types of chairs- high armed soft chairs (great for my buddy), metal chairs, and stools. Outside there were picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, and yard games. I will totally be hitting this place up some morning for one of their coffee creations annnnnd maybe a few more of those mini donuts.

Very disappointing experience picking up a DoorDash order. The app directed me to the walk-up…read morewindow, so I politely walked up, said hello, and let the employee know I was there for a pickup. She immediately and rudely told me, "You need to go through the drive-through. All pickups are at the drive-through." The promptly closed the walk up window in my face. If that's the policy, that's fine, but there was no need to act that way, especially to someone who was just attempting to pick up a DoorDash order. In addition, it was especially confusing since other Aroma Joe's locations always direct dashers to use the walk-up window or go inside to avoid holding up the drive-through line. Rather than deal with the hostility, I unassigned the order from my account and left without pay. Delivery drivers are simply following the instructions provided to them and a respectful explanation would have been appreciated, especially considering the store has to manually add in what pick up instructions for drivers are.

Excellent crepes, the full brunch is my fave so far, but working my way through the menu. My partner got the Turkey and Brie and he really enjoyed it. Word to the wise, crepes are portable in holders so you can eat on the go, but they are best enjoyed eating there on the spot. They have an extensive offering of macarons, and I've been working my way through that menu as well...tiramisu and pistachio are my faves :) They have multiple latte offerings as well as tea and bubble tea. New seasonal drinks every month or two, and they are all so tasty! Staff are excellent, warm and friendly, you can tell they enjoy working with each other. I just love the vibe here and I will be a weekend regular for sure :)

I got their seasonal "Dubai Chocolate" w/ chocolate and pistachio syrups. Both were quite good, with my wife's being slightly better and more flavor. Food wise we each chose their sausage egg and cheese sandwich and my wife got a blueberry cream cheese. The sandwiches were unique in the sense they were made with white bread that had cheese melted onto it. The best bite was the blueberry cream cheese and was like a better version of a toaster strudel. Sandwiches and drinks were good but didn't quite blow us away hence the 4 stars. Certainly a good enough experience I would return to this location and/or visit any of the others. With so many great breakfast/coffee spots in the greater Portland area this is one worth considering at least.

In…read moreour recent trip to Maine, despite having done loads of internet investigations to find the best coffee shops, we had both hits and misses - some great coffee drinks, and some that were really poor (i.e., weak, luke warm, etc.). Our coffee drinks at Grounded were among the best we've had in Maine - or anywhere, for that matter! Grounded is a relatively new coffee shop located about a mile north of Wiscasset on Gardiner Road (Route 27). You won't see it if you are walking around the cute little village of Wiscasset, but it is definitely worth the short drive out of town. The flat white that we ordered was made exactly as we had requested - hot and strong! They use coffee from a roaster called Coffee on the Porch, which we had heard great things about, but had not previously tried. The flat white was rich, smooth, and flavorful. I should also mention the excellent service and attitude of owner Kalei. The shop was actually closed when we arrived, due to Kalei having been at a special event in town earlier that day, but she opened the shop for us, kindly made us an exceptional flat white, and chatted with us about her new shop. If you are looking for great coffee in this part of Maine, please go to Grounded, and you will be very glad that you did!
