Everything and more than all the reviews I read before stopping in. Great friendly service. Quality sandwiches, plentiful ice cream, delicious cookies, great selection with some daily specials. We went two days in a row. One day for lunch and ice cream, next day just for ice cream. Cute interior, popular venue. Stop in!

Lovely little luncheonette stopped in for a bite and had a BLT with avocado on sourdough toast. Enjoyed the sandwich, service was good. Would visit again.

A rudimentary plan to grab a sandwich at this place after dropping off some film at NP has worked in my favor. The waxing moon may be foreboding for some, but for me it was fortuitous. John, the owner and soda jerk extraordinaire, was managing the front of the shoppe, preparing a bag for one of the regular customers. After placing my order with the satisfying reaffirmations "Good choice!" I took a seat at the counter. Then another regular picking up and friendly banter. Before long, John and I were chatting it up as if I, too, were a regular. He's definitely one of the friendliest guys and runs one of the most charming little ice cream/soda bar/sandwich shops I've been into. Super charming interior that really does make you feel like you're slipping back into the 50's. I actually tried a couple of their sandwich options, one at the shop and the other to take home. They are most satisfying, and feel as though you're nine years old again, visiting your Aunt Ginny and Uncle Ed, enjoying sandwiches and chips in the yard without a care in the world.

This is a perfect step into history. The food is amazing. This is pure favorite place to eat and top it off with a scoop or 2. The service is amazing, fast, and friendly. It's a step back in time, clean and old fashioned. F Brings history back to our small town.

Delightful, old school ice cream and deli! Enjoyed the Moose Tracks and Butter pecan, hand dipped and done well! Yum! The walk down Front Street was lovely. Great stop in our drive-worth the detour.

Cute place to grab lunch. There's also tons of ice cream to choose from. And root beer on tap!

Shoddy service by young kids. No one seems to be in charge. Sandwich was ok. Definitely has gone down in the last couple of years.

Since they serve Gifford's - it has to be good. Had a milk shake and another scoop in a cup. Both were great. Friendly staff.

There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have a pretty consistent menu that really hasn't changed, at least not that I have noticed. They have "signature" sandwiches or you can build your own. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. We still visit here and we still recommend it to family and friends.

I walked in thinking I'd order something simple, but Jocelyn somehow anticipated exactly what I wanted before I even said it -- an oatmeal latte with honey infused right into the espresso. It was warm, silky, lightly sweet, and honestly one of the most thoughtful, dialed‑in drinks I've had anywhere. You can tell when someone really knows their craft, and she absolutely does. We also grabbed the curried chicken sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of creamy and bright. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid‑bite and go, "Wait... this is really good." The whole place has that cozy‑local‑favorite energy -- friendly staff, great food, and the kind of coffee that makes you want to reroute your trip just to come back again. Pricing is high, but the products are worth it. Their homemade goods are so good. A lot of tasty stuff. Their sandwiches look so good. In the deli, I saw the WICKED VEGGIE WRAP on the menu and was looking forward to this that wrap that I enjoyed over the years. Very very disappointing... What my wife and I split was mostly lettuce with a sparse amount of cherry tomatoes, red onion and little else. Some mild dressing and that's about all it had. Quite tasteless actually, since it was mostly lettuce. The WICKED VEGGIE WRAP wrap that this store used to have consisted of a breaded eggplant slice, plenty of creamy hummus, roasted peppers, red onion, some lettuce and perhaps cheese. Very flavorful. They shouldn't be calling this the SAME thing as what the prior owner named it since it's not at all the same sandwich. This was also way overpriced for what they made for me. The gift store used to have some great items but now their inventory is quite different. Unfortunately, times do change.
