There was a strong hippie yoga undertone in the air, the kind of place where people seem grounded, creative, and totally fine taking their time. It reminded me a little of Joshua Tree, and I mean that as a compliment. What I loved is that our whole group could order completely different things and everyone was happy. One friend went for kava. Another needed a proper espresso. Someone chose a pour over because of course they did. And then there was me with the iced matcha, which you probably guessed before I even said it. It was actually very good, but the real win was that it matched the mood of the place perfectly. There's a big bulletin board covered with event flyers, and you can tell this café is more than just drinks. A lot of the events lean spiritual or community focused, mixed in with other creative gatherings. It feels like a space where meditation circles, deep conversations, and random interesting meetups just naturally happen. At one point an orange cat wandered in and casually made its way around the café like this was a normal Tuesday. Friendly, confident, clearly someone's pet, but whose is still a mystery. No one seemed bothered. If anything, it just added to the charm. The drinks were good, but the vibe is what makes this place memorable. It's comforting, open, a little eclectic, and just cool in an effortless way. If you are even slightly free spirited or just want a laid back place that is not centered around alcohol, this is your spot. And honestly, if you are in Ybor, get off the strip for a minute... It's so much better.

Grassroots locs are some of the very best for a productive, comfortable work environment outside of the music being a tad loud. Great seating options, lots of space, nice natural light, and always a good crowd inside. The kavatender was super friendly. I love getting their housemade blueberry syrup in my coffee. All the fruit syrups are made in house, apparently!

This chill and charming coffee spot is waiting for you (in a vintage brick building called "the bunker." The effortlessly cool barista greeted me with this laid back warmth and mellow morning energy. She gave me good ideas on both drinks and food, since this was my first visit-and supported my choices. I love that! Life kicks us around outside these doors. But inside Ybor City Coffee and Tea, it's easygoing and zen. I could have settled in with my matcha with lavender for a good long stay... but it's an errands day. I couldn't linger and enjoy the artwork or all the comfy seating area (tables, couches and a high counter with stools inside and patio seating outside) this time. But I'll be back! The chai tea and a carmel apple pastry is calling. Add to all of this: this one hour street parking for just 50 cents right out front and I AM A FAN! I'll see you soon, Ybor City Coffee and Tea.

I love that they have premade recipes so you don't have to make up your own bagel and mannnnn do they hit! I've had 3 different sandwiches now from them because I can't stop going back and they've all been stellar. Two amazing things to highlight that sets Pete's apart. 1. They offer a punch card! idk about y'all but I LOVE A PUNCH CARD! 2. There is a dog park attached to the patio so even if you don't bring your pup with you, there is plenty of cutie pie entertainment while you eat. Not only are the bagels incredible, but the matcha is bangin! My wife and I always get the lavender matcha and it has never missed. For the best experience, I'd recommend to go early and to sit outside. Because the line gets long, it's gets a bit cumbersome to eat inside PLUSSSS not only do you get pup entertainment but since they're in Ybor, you get free chicken entertainment. Who doesn't love a good nature scene when eating the best bagel you've ever had. One last great thing about Pete's is that they have bike parking and plenty of it. Makes for a lovely Sunday morning ride to brunch!

It was pretty empty because we went in the morning. But it's very spacious and you have multiple table options to sit at. They don't serve a ton of options, but the options that they do have are very good. If you're in the area, please give this place a try!

They do not have matcha. 3. They do not have food. These days coffee makes my body feel weirddddd so I was a bit staggered when I walked in and realized those 3 things since I was here with a bike group and I really needed some food. I considered having coffee anyway but without food and being on a 15+ mile bike ride, I wasn't trying to have a medical episode so I decided to try their chai tea latte. It was truly delicious!! It got me home and able to eat so thank god for that! Some of the rest of my party got the herbal tea and the way it was served was super cool. It had me intrigued. But if you like coffee, everyone said it was delicious. The fact that they have a latte on draft is pretty amazing as well. I loved the location because it's kind of ducked off in the corner which is why I had never been there before. But above all else, the amount of pups here were enough to make me return time and time again. I met the cutest greyhounds which are my fav so my soul was happy.

I must admit, I was a little intimidated by coming out here originally because I thought I was going to have to go through the interstate, not be able to find paid parking, and be far away from it by the time I find something, but parking was incredibly easy and ample. Right at the outskirts of Ybor, is this adorable, charming coffee dessert boutique like place with outdoor seating so my adorable Muffin can enjoy her day with her mommy. (You can go up to the counter with the dog, but you can't dine with them. Not a problem because their outside seating is plentiful, too and just as gorgeous.) Already, I was getting such a great vibe. I ordered a special chocolate latte and some pastries, which was exactly what I came for. Their pastries and cakes are nicely displayed behind a glass case and they had a large selection offerings. I went for some macarons and tried a slice of their chocolate chip ricotta cake, and took this outside on such a beautiful day. Every item I got were crafted with care to detail and taste. The breakdown: The chocolate latte. Beautiful latte art, creamy with hints of chocolate and caramel . Macarons: Chocolate chip pistachio with chocolate chips inside and drizzled with more chocolate. Ube vanilla, sweet and complex, and I loved the purple. Black coffee, possibly my favorite, with the strong coffee flavor. Each of these were delicate and crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside. Perfection!!! Chocolate Chip ricotta cake: Looked like a small piece, but this thing was DENSE. Soft, moist, and generously studded with chocolate chips. I was pretty full when I finished everything. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I really enjoyed coming here and loved how their pastries and desserts are works of art on their own. I can't wait to try more!
