I've been to many Buddy Brew locations all over town in Tampa but not this one. I love that I can go into Buddy Brew and always know I'm going to drink a consistent latte. They spend a lot of time training and educating their baristas and the proof is in the espresso pull! This location did not disappoint. I went on Christmas Eve and was happy they were still open early afternoon. I got a white chocolate peppermint mocha and thought it was super delicious! Went for the first time today and was not impressed. Paid $25 for 2 coffees, a croissant, and "toast" with peanut butter and bananas. First they made my boyfriend's coffee iced when he asked for hot. Then made me wait almost a full 20 minutes for my "toast" that was not tossed but just a piece of bread. And when I asked extremely nicely twice about my toast because it was not busy and seemed nuts it would take that long to get me my toast; the worker rolled her eyes and huffed at me. I love Buddy Brew! This is the 3rd location I've visited and it's great. I love that they have outdoor seating on the east side of the building. It's an easy stop for me along Bay to Bay Blvd heading towards the Selmon Expressway ramp on my way back to Brandon. There is not much parking in front of the café, but there is a shared parking lot on the east side of the building with 15 minute parking spots. Use that parking lot if you're getting your coffee to-go. The parking spaces are a decent size too. This latest visit was to get a matcha latte with oat milk. I got the largest size for my short trip home. I just needed an excuse to stop and get one. I really like that the matcha wasn't sweetened this time. I got that strong matcha tea flavor that I enjoy so much. It was expertly prepared, and I feel like I got all the benefits I needed from the matcha tea just by the way it was made. I also saw that they have a matcha lemonade that I want to try next time when I'm in the area. I don't need to say a whole lot about their coffee. It speaks for itself. It's always a great brew. So, I didn't see it right away but they have a selection of baked goods. The chocolate chip cookie looked amazing. I almost got one. I visit Buddy Brew every time I come to Tampa. I wish this company was other places because it's so good, but I also love that it's unique to Tampa. There are multiple locations, but we went to this fun free-standing one. The decor was super cute. The space was nice, airy and bright and I could definitely see myself coming here to get some quality work/studying done. The staff were also super sweet and helpful! My fiance ordered the cold brew, which was super strong (of course) in a good way. The brew was super tasty and not too bitter. I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk (half sweet). It was absolute divine perfection. Half sweet was the perfect amount of sweetness. And I could definitely taste their divine blend of espresso underneath the flavor. Very nice and spacious coffee shop location for Buddy Brew! The staff is very friendly and there are plenty of seats and outlets to work from. They have all the great coffee flavors that Buddy Brew is known for. I enjoyed the clean and bright minimal beach decor they have going on. The only thing that bothers me is the very limited wifi access they offer. Anything after 2 hours you will have to fork over your credit card to pay for extra time which seem pricey for a full days worth of access. I love stopping by any of the buddy brew locations around town for a quick bite, caffeine boost, or just to grind out some work. This time I enjoyed a cappuccino and pumpkin loaf slice. The coffee is always smooth and balanced to my taste. I love their biscuits, avocado toast with chili flakes, but this time I couldn't help but get a sweeter treat to go alongside it. Pretty new cafe in South Tampa. I was very excited to see a Buddy Brew opening up in the center of South Tampa. I'm lazy and don't even like to go up as north as Kennedy for coffee. This Buddy Brew is close enough to go to on a regular basis. They just opened up this week, so their kitchen is not yet serving food. I ordered a flat white and a chocolate chip cookie to go. The flat white did not have any foam when I opened the top, but the drink itself was really tasty, very smooth without any bitterness. It did not need sugar or sweetener as there was a natural mild sweetness in the coffee and milk. The cookie was awesome, one of the best I've had in South Tampa. The cookie was supposed to be for my husband, but I couldn't resist taking a bite (hey, it's for research!). I make no apologies for that. The cafe itself is clean and airy, and I look forward to the day when I can actually sit inside the restaurant and enjoy a drink and sandwich. read more

The lady helping us offered a few suggestions and my aunt decided on an Americano and I got the matcha latte iced. The matcha is not your typical sweet matcha but it was exactly what I was looking for. I just wish it had less milk and more matcha flavor. My aunt enjoyed her Americano and also ordered a bag of coffee to take back as she was visiting from out of state. She bought the Cubano Espresso as they suggested it was one of their stronger brews. The other two suggested to her were sold out but we were told they would have more in stock that afternoon. The girl working the counter seemed pleasant at first, but after making the coffees and handing me 2 identical cups - her reply to my question of which cup was what (I had ordered a double espresso and a cortado) was that the espresso was the one without the milk. Well, duh! Not the end of the world, but leaving your customer to open and inspect both cups to determine what is what is really terrible customer service. To add insult to injury, the cortado tasted completely burnt and left a lot to be desired. I saw the barista make it using a tea whisk to make sure there aren't any lumps in the green tea. I normally go to the Kennedy location, but I tried the bay to bay this morning. I was very excited about the gingerbread cookie hot latte as I love gingerbread. However, it was made and presented to me and it was barely warm in addition you couldn't taste gingerbread or cookie flavoring. They were very busy so it took a while to get their attention to no fault of their own and they remade it again barely warm and I was unable to taste gingerbread or cookie flavoring. The espresso and milk completely take over. Again, tried to ask them if I could get more of the syrup in it so I could taste it but they were so busy, I had to wait in line. I asked them to add some gingerbread even with the additional of the gingerbread , it didn't really taste like gingerbread or cookie. Very disappointed in the quality of the drink and the flavor profile. I felt like I got robbed eight dollars as I ultimately threw it away. Well, the staff was very nice and friendly and was doing the best that they could with how busy the location was. I would not recommend the gingerbread cookie latte. read more

First I want to say that this is a very nice building. The inside was clean and I loved how spacious it was. A lot of seating and the service was fast and friendly. I've seen this coffee while shopping at Publix and I've gone to the ice cream shop next to it a couple of times so I decided to stop in for a coffee. Although I like how everything is set up the star of the show is the coffee and this just wasn't good coffee. I honestly couldn't even taste the coffee. I got an iced mocha latte. I love a good cup of coffee but I feel like a latte is the safest route to go when trying a new place that way if the coffee is bad maybe the other stuff can help make it drinkable but I just couldn't drink this. read more
