First time in airside F at TPA. Needed coffee. It's so early. lol. So I decided to try Buddy Brew Coffee. I had it before but it has been a long time. I got a Latte. 16 oz with vanilla and almond milk. I definitely had to add some sweetener because it had no sweet flavor at all. Overall it was a decent cup of coffee. I would probably get it again. This place is the star of the show at this food hall. They are right at the entrance so it's impossible to miss. They have a really nice menu with some sandwiches but I came for the coffee. I asked so many questions and the staff gladly answered them. I ordered a decaf carnilla latte. It was literally perfect. It was creamy, hot, and the perfect level of sweet. Buddy Brew Coffee is just passed the TSA security checkpoint on the left. It's in an area with some other food options including a bar. They have some small bites to eat as well in a cooler in case you a hungry. The service here is good, quick and helpful to speed you on your way. While I've only been twice there wasn't a line which was nice. I get the iced coffee and it's delicious. Coming from a primarily tea drinker for my caffeine needs that should tell you something. The iced coffee is rich, dark, and very flavorful. You can tell the roaster knows a thing or two and puts care into the finished product. The price is a little more than the normal other options in airports but the quality is worth it. read more

Very easy to get to from security, clean, and friendly service. There was no one behind the counter when I first walked up, but an employee who works at the adjoined restaurant waved someone over shortly after I arrived. I was greeted with a smile, and the cashier was very polite. I ordered an iced latte, because I had one at the Hyde Park location and lost my mind it's so good. I was crossing my fingers, hoping this one would be just as delicious. The cashier typed in my order and cashed me out in a flash and made my drink equally as quickly. She wished me a great day and went to attend to the next person in line. I took a tentative but hopeful sip of my latte and am over the moon! It tastes just like it should. Now I hope I always leave out of airside F. There is a Starbucks a bit further down, but I really recommend you stop at Buddy Brew instead. Their espresso is wonderful. Originally stood in the Starbuck's line... but waited awhile and it didn't move. Decided to grab Buddy Brew Coffee instead... no line! No wait! I am a simple girl... 1/2 decaf, 1/2 regular BLACK. I got a hot latte- and it was extra extra hot so grab a few napkins for a make shift oven mitt! I also tried their cinnamon coffee cake, it was good and then I reached a part where there was a dulce de Leche filling- holyyy moly!! Buddy brew is my personal favorite coffee and I wish there were more of them and drive thrus like Starbucks. I got a caramel latte and it was yummy and perfect like always. I'm so happy to find them in Tampa airport. The service was quick and friendly. The only thing is I wish they had some other food options aside from chips and pastries, like even grab and go sandwiches so that I could just make one stop instead of two. I don't know why but this location is terrible. I like Buddy Brew coffee. Had coffee twice here and it was watery and the staff knows nothing about coffee. Not surprising for an airport. However, I do expect some one to be at the counter, which was not the case when I decided to try it again today. I waited a few minutes and left when know one came to take my order. Three strikes. What a great surprise. Something that is an outstanding departure from Starbucks or the other normal coffee spots at the airport. They even had Nitro Brew and knew what a Cortado is! A real coffee shop to start or end your journey with a pick-me-up. I suggest no ice in the Nitro Brew and a tip for the young lady working the register as they regularly work really long hours here for some reason. read more

Now this is not entirely due to the smiling (almost never) people behind the counter, it's the crappy training and process. I absolutely love Buddy Brew Coffee in Tampa and think it's the best around but this location clearly has not trained their Baristas and the steamer was not cleaned before or after use so some of the caked on milk came off inside of my drink which made my coffee Lumpy. Luckily he burned the milk so that it killed any bacteria that was lingering on the steamer that had not been cleaned and who knows how long. I won't go to Starbucks but maybe I'll have to go without coffee when in the Tampa Airport. read more

Had the worst experience at this buddy brew this morning. Decided against the starbucks and went to support one of my favorite coffee shops in tampa, instead of familiar friendly customer service and good food, i got a hostile and rude experience. I waited in line for ten minutes when there were only 3 people in front of me to then be asked "what" and then told "hold on" while beginning my sentence. the couple in front waited 20 minutes for their two bagels to be ready only for the exact opposite of what they asked for.
