I genuinely love coming here. First off, Mission supports all those serving our country in the military and first responders and I think that is very commendable. There is even designated veteran parking out front. Their "mission" is important and feels good to be apart of and support those who serve out country. The customer service is impeccable. I've never had a bad experience here. Everyone greets you with a smile and that makes a big difference. I wish more places would. I ordered my usual, smoked turkey sandwich with a side of fries. They give alot of turkey on the sandwich which makes it feel like you are really getting your money's worth here. The fries were hot and crispy. I enjoy mixing some of the sauces and creating my own. I also make myself an Arnold Palmer with their fresh brewed tea and lemonade. I also got a banana pudding to go. It was yummy. My friend and I were shopping at Home Goods a few plazas down from Mission and the Mission truck happened to be in the plaza. After seeing the truck, we both agreed Mission was a must for lunch. We arrived shortly before noon on a Sunday and it was surprisingly packed. We were greeted at the register, and the woman introduced herself and asked us for our names. It was a very personable ordering experience. After ordering, we sat down, and at noon, we all rose for the national anthem. They do that every day at noon, which is why they were so busy. The manager came out and sincerely thanked us for being the best crowd in a long time. When the food is ready, they call your name and you pick it up at the counter. On each table, there are six bottles of BBQ sauce. The best sauce though is kept behind the counter in the fridge and it's called the "white sauce." It's a BBQ take on yum yum sauce and it's delicious. I ordered the pulled chicken, which was tender and delicious. My friend ordered burnt ends and sausage. We also ordered banana pudding, which was disappointing. It was 80% whip cream with very little pudding. Overall, it was a great experience. The minute you walk in, you are overwhelmed with true patriotism and the wonderful smell of smoked meat. I loved the decor of this place! Upon seeing my inability to make a decision about sides, the gal behind the counter offered to let me taste the potato salad and the coleslaw so I could make a qualified choice! She informed me that everything was homemade. The potato salad was absolutely delicious, but had a "bite" at the end. I decided that the coleslaw was the way to go. Really delicious. My lunch mate assured me that the mac & cheese was absolutely amazing as well. (Next time!!) I chose pulled pork. I don't eat barbecue sauce, so I was happy to find out that it is just pulled pork and no sauce. The pork was out of this world. For just under $300 with tax and tip, we chose the XL party pack. We went with pulled chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. For sides, we chose baked beans, Mac and cheese, and green beans. For the bread, we went with the sliders and cornbread combo. The Florida Gator bite sauce paired perfectly. We were even given a variety of other sauces as well, in smaller portions. I was craving some good yummy bbq and this place did a good job of fulfilling my craving. I got the beef brisket sandwich moist and it was soo delicious even without needing the sauce -mhm! They smoked it just right and they got a big smoker you can see right in their big open kitchen - I like that set up - lets ya know you can trust where its coming from. I ordered the bbq beans and fries as my side but now looking at the Mac and cheese, I really should have went for that alone! The fries were nice and crunchy, could have used them more hot and off the press but still ate most of them because they were just slightly cold. The beans were alright too, I like a bit more sweetness flavor but still yummy nevertheless. An all American BBQ location. Inside is a USA tribute to service men and women. They have quite a few tables available to sit at. Their smoked turkey is moist and has a great flavor. I love the story behind how the business began and their Mission behind supporting those who serve our communities and country. The food here is like crack, once you try it there is no turning back and even if you manage to get clean there is always a chance for relapse. Jokes aside, the food is really that good. I've had just about everything that makes a BBQ place special: Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Mac-n-cheese, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Corn Bread, and Green Beans. I have to admit, I haven't had their Ribs, Turkey, or Sausage yet, but that is on my to-do list. This was my first time at this location after finding out it's closer than the one on Semoran. I ordered online so this is strictly about the pick up and food. Really nice location close to the highway and other great restaurants in the near by area. Finding good BBQ or just food in general in Orlando is not an easy task. But Mission BBQ is perfect if you need something that's within a 20-30 mins drive. I had the 3 meat sampler with brisket, turkey and ribs. They were all great. If you like brisket, you know how good it can be when it's sliced off a piping hot slab of brisket right out of the oven. You might not get a steaming hot piece of brisket if you order takeout. So just be realistic. I also ordered cheese potatoes, and mac and cheese with extra cornbread. I also had the sweet potato mash. Everything was delicious. You will need to select and add your choice of BBQ sauce or white sauce. The whole concept is good food, fast. I think this is a great place for fast BBQ. I know another place that's only open 3 days a week, and their lines are usually very long. You won't have that same problem here at Mission. My total without any need for drinks (ate at home) was $45 and for 2 people to share, I had a nice variety of items and leftovers. I absolutely love this place! This is my favorite barbecue place in all of Orlando! Previously, my favorite barbecue place was the competitor. I don't even know why I didn't try this place sooner. It is near my doctors office so after every single doctor appointment I would come here to eat lunch. The food is always very fresh, the sauces are amazing, the staff is very friendly and they do the Pledge of Allegiance every day at noon! What more can you ask for! I love that they always have a seasonal cobbler, right now is the caramel apple cobbler. They have perfect cornbread and delicious macaroni and cheese. My favorite sauce is the Memphis Belle, it is sweet and tangy and they have five other sauces!
