I've been here only when the place across the street is closed. I've been here 3 times over about 8 years and all 3 times my hair was jacked. Simple fade with a trim on top with scissors; no rocket science. A couple weeks ago I went for the 3rd time and when she was "done" I had to point out the spots where the fade was not done correctly and she had to do it again. Then she lopped off my bangs on one side of my head. That's what I get for not learning my lesson the first 2 times. Incredibly nice lady and I feel bad giving this review but, man, I feel I have been patient and I don't think I'll ever be back. Went in at 2 pm today (Saturday) and was greeted and sat down right away in a chair. My 2 year old son was the one getting a cut and he hates haircuts. She was very patient and worked throughout his tantrum. I am so glad I brought my son because his haircut is so good! I am very pleased with the cut and the price.. $12?! You can't beat that! I decided to give this place a try since it had a 4 star rating, so what could of gone wrong. From the moment I sat down and told the lady what I wanted I should of got up and left. I told her I wanted fade with 0 on the sides and scissor half length on top, The look on her face when she heard that should of been an indication to get up and leave. She literally told me so you want long, medium or short on top, what in the world I'm I getting a haircut or buying clothes. Also why whenever she was blowing air from the hairdryer to my face to blow swat loose hair was she slapping my face. Worst barbershop ever, wish 0 was an option. She told my 3 year old son not to move or she would cut his ear, really wtf ?! That's not what you tell a 3 year old ! definitely didn't help and just made things worse but wait it gets better ! My other son asks for a fade but gets a bowl cut !! There was literally a line on the back of his head which I didn't see until I got home or I wouldn't have paid her ! Speaking of lines, there was only person cutting hair so each one of my sons had to wait till the other one was finished. Jo Ann has been my barber since my first visit. She's great. Her prices are great. My hair looks great. I couldn't ask for a better person or place to get the cuts I want. I've been to plenty of boujee salons and overhyped barbers, and Jo Ann gives them all a run for their money. She's so genuine, sweet, and nice. The Asian lady cutting hair at this location gave me the worst haircut I've ever had. She didn't listen to any of the things I asked for when I sat down specifically that I didn't want my hair very high and I only wanted an inch or two of the top. I ended up with a military style high and tight that I hate. She cut my bangs straight across and was just overall careless with my hair. I'm usually not that picky and get my haircut at a barber training school near where I live but I was in the area and so I decided to give her a try. Worst mistake of my hairs life. Now I have a buzzed head and will have to wait even longer before I can get my hair back to my preferred style. Also the place has no air conditioning and it was 83° outside. Overall I had a terrible experience and would highly reccommend you look elsewhere for a haircut if you care anything about what your hair looks like. read more
