I had my first visit to this dental office after moving back to California and it was fantastic! I came in to receive a basic yearly cleaning and it went great! My dental hygienist was Laura and she made my whole dental cleaning experience anxiety and stress free! I highly recommend her if you get the feelings of anxiety, fear, or stress at just the thought of knowing you have to go to the dentist to get your yearly teeth cleaned. Laura is not only extremely professional but she exhibits kindness, attentiveness, mindfulness, and uses the up most of gentleness during your dental procedure. Dr. Cho who was assigned to be my dentist was very kind and approachable. When first meeting her she is calm, soft spoken, attentive and mindful of your questions and concerns. Jessica who works at the office front desk was the very first person I interacted with when I walked in the entrance door. She was not only genuine and kind when welcoming me to the dental office for the first time but very authentic and down to earth. The moments I enter acted with her were very pleasant, like I was speaking to a good friend or family member. She made the whole check in and check out process very comfortable. She was also wearing the cutest blouse with red hearts on it that added to her amazingly kind and sweet demeanor. As someone with extreme Dentist and general teeth anxiety, I was dreading having to go to the dentist for a cleaning and what I knew would be a few fillings. Despite me (a grown adult person) crying during the entire process, the entire office staff was SO kind. it was ok at first but then when i was there for a removal of braces, I didnt catch his name but I think is Mr. Muhammid or something, he was taking my braces off and then I know you have to have some type of water when your drilling the glue from the braces or else it makes friction w the tooth and can burn the patient. He did not have any water or any bib on me and I would get burn alot from the drill to later find out when I got home he cut some of my gums. After i was done he juts left me all the way down in the chair like a subspine postion for a long time. When I turn my head over he is over in the corner with his phone. Really bad customer service. Later to get my pictures taken but it was a bit nasty since we all now phones have many germs, I js saw the assistant using their phones to take other pateints pictures and then came to me even though they changed gloves, they didnt clean the phone and they were touching my mouth w all the extra salivia the phone had. I hate this location , they rip you off, if their getting one star it's because their staff is friendly, but Ana the girl in charge of finance or office manager, she rips you off, and Dr. Moon ain't that good either, this happen in 2019, I took my daughter to their location, she was having pain on one of her tooth, they told me she needed a root canal and crown, on her Lower and upper tooth, I had denti-cal , witch Ana has told me. On of the tooth was not cover with dentical, and I needed to pay $1,820 , and that dentical would cover the rest of the crowns. My daughter need this badly so I trust it her , and pay my fee, when I find out they over charge me, and what Ana had charge me was for and infused gold crown, something my daughter did not.need, I felt so stupid for believing her and paying that, well after that I did my research, and saw how the crown look, and what the codes meant for a infused gold crown, when I went back to dentist for my daughter crown , I requested to see her crown, and have them flip the crown for me, yes I knew it they rip me off , it was a metal crown, Dr Moon seem so bothered with me and asked how I knew about the infused gold in crown, google duh!! He just seem so mad at me and my daughter, he said he would would get it fix and I would need to return in two weeks to get the correct one, once I return back I had them show me the certification of the crown, Dr, Moon after. That seem mean , bother and rude... you guys might ask why are u just posting this, well I'm not a person to complain so much, I try to let it go, I already pay for it, and I wouldn't ever be going back afterwards, but this couple days ago , my daughter is having treatment done to her of course in another location, that she loves and finds them to be so careful with her and made her feel important, she told me. !MONEY HUNGRY! I don't recommend wasting any money here they take advantage of a lot of people including my family. It's not right it's messed Taking advantage of the Latino community like seriously. I was told that my insurance did not cover all my wisdom procedure and I needed to pay 2,700 OUT OF POCKET They LIED about my insurance not being covered !!! doesn't it take days for insurance to get approved why'd they tell me no right. The lady that talks about the finances may seem nice and like she cares about your well being but she just wants the money. I recommend getting a second opinion before giving this establishment your hard earned money. Another thing I would like to mention is that they told me that I need to be put to sleep under General anesthesia because it was such a delicate procedure. It was an extra 500 for that. I went to get a second opinion and they told me that I didn't need the anesthesia and it would be no cost because the insurance would most likely get approved. read more

Don't come to this place!! I scheduled an appointment to get my sons 4 wisdom teeth removed with sedation, now mind you we have a primer dentist but they don't remove wisdom teeth at their facility so they sent a referral to them. Anna called me in the beginning of January to schedule at the end of the month and even indicated that they would have the pre-authorization by then now mind you it's almost the end of February. When I called to schedule I specifically said it was for his wisdom teeth and sedation so I walk in on time for his 10am appt filled out all required paperwork/signatures the receptionist even asked questions indicating that they knew it was sedation so they called us in a opened room at 11:18am just to tell us it's a consultation... um what?? How is this a consultation when we knew what he was here for then Anna proceeds to tell us the surgeon isn't in today and the appointment was scheduled for a consultation... why???? Waste of my time. My son and I both took days off of work and even prepped at home for all his needs. I have good insurance (PPO) not Medi-cal or any other freeloader insurance so why waste my time? Absolutely corrupt crooked, and dishonest dentist. I came here to get my bridge re-cemented. First off, their staff has no clue how to x-ray. And they had to take my x-rays over and over again. At one point a staff member stayed in the room holding the x-ray pad in my mouth. I heard them speaking in Spanish and a certain tool was missing. How professional is that?? Then the doctor removes the bridge from my mouth and gives me a roundabout and very indirect story about how he may not able to simply re-cement it. He begins trying to sell me on another bridge or an implant. All while I'm missing my teeth. As he begins his up-sell pitch I begin to get confused. I ask if he's going to re-cement it or not. Again, being very ambiguous he says he doesn't know. He claims I have a cavity and that he cannot simply re-cement it. I tell him I'd like just to re-cement it then he says he'll find out (found out how? You're the dentist??) Then he leaves and this pushy, condescending and rude women comes in and explains I need to pay $4,000. I explain I'm not prepared to pay that much for a bridge that's only one year old. She then explains she cannot help me. So I have to get up, take the bib off myself, and grab my bridge that's sitting on the dental tray and put it back on myself in the bathroom. They took it off but didn't have the decency to put it back on. How rude!!! This dentist takes advantage of the Latino market by providing bait and switch tactics. No decency or consideration was given to me unless I was willing to pay an exuberant price (they wanted $4,000 for a bridge that costs typically between $2,500-$3,000). And worse, they have an attitude and act without any ethics or professionalism. They have 3 stars out for 10 reviews which is alarmingly bad. The people have spoken. I booked an appt under the impression I was getting my teeth out on that appt because that's what I was told on the phone. That insurance would be verified on the spot so that being said I planned accordingly and took a few days off work. Come to find the appt was for an X-ray. DONT MESS WITH PEOPLES MONEY and then shove these unnessasary fees down their throats. If I don't need my top tooth out I'm not paying for it. Done. Also don't add things to the appt without verifying that I'm prepared to pay. You call and tell me my insurance covers my procedure and then tell me I owe $600 when I get there for something I discussed previously. I've had it. Unfortunately I'm still in this waiting room for my procedure. Figure out that people don't make as much as you and a warning on prices would be so considerate. read more

First time visiting this dental office. Parking is easy to find, as close as right in front of the office. This dental office is in a new shopping centre, so it looks quite presentable from the outside. Once I entered, it was just as nice as it was from the outside. The receptionist area was clean work neutral coloured theme with a nice receptionist. The overall experience was good. Despite, I have reservations about this place. We were here for an xray called panoramic. The receptionist required that I sign three electronic documents which I wasn't given any material to read upon. She explained that the signatures were required since we were new patients in this office: FIRST one was allowing them to see my children. SECOND one was acknowledging the materials they use...? I asked what material they used for simple xray, and she didn't have anything better to say other than it was required. THIRD was for the xray. I signed all three with full understanding of we were there only for xrays. It's a good thing we were there only for the film. If they don't even understand the legal parameter for obtaining signatures without giving a copy or even allowing patients to read what they're signing for. I doubt these signatures wouldn't hold water in the court of law: sign otherwise no service? Two stars for the receptionist's friendliness. Otherwise, it would have been a one star. read more

Do not come here. They will take your money & waste your time. I was scheduled for molar removals & wanted to cancel a portion of my procedure because I no longer wished to proceed with it. I reached out to my care coordinator but never heard back. As days went by I decided to call in/make a visit to get that sorted out but was always dismissed. the day before my procedure I was finally able to speak to another care coordinator only to find out that my assigned coordinator was no longer with the company and hadn't been for a while. They then tried to charge me $1,000 cancellation fee which is simply outrageous (they had already charged me $2K for a procedure that I hadn't yet received). they then said they would have someone call me in regards to my issue but never heard back. I had to take matters into my own hands to get this disputed. My dispute lasted longer than three months. This place is a complete scam. read more

Since the last incident, my Ortho reached out to me today and apologized what had happened on behalf of his staff. I guess there was a slight mix-up with their computer system. But the point is, I didn't expect him to give me a little token of apology and that small gesture really made me feel appreciative as to why I continue coming here even with my far commute. I'm not ever disappointed nor question the dentists here, they're all amazing and really make you feel safe. Though, I'm not pointing out at any particular staff but the service they provide to the patients really needs some work. Whatever the dentists are doing, it needs to translate to all the others--being personable, compassionate, and just smile when you greet. You'll be surprised what a big difference it makes because no one wants to see a cranky looking person when they first enter and leave the place. If you don't like your job, don't work there; let another person who may enjoy it more to fill those positions. Also, the new Ortho assistant is awesome! She's just a happy go-getter and I hope to see her more in my future appointments. She's a great example of someone who loves what they do :). read more

This place now goes by the name of Blue Hills Dental. They are still horrible though. Only open 2 days a week. If your child has a problem with their braces, you will have to wait an entire month for the orthodontist to come back to the office. The office manager is rude and does not smile. I currently live in Orange County, but my regular dentist is up in Sacramento. I decided to go to this office to get a routine check up and have a few concerns checked out seeing as it would be a while before I could make it up to Sacramento. After my check up the doctor told me I had 6 cavities!! Never in my life have I had 6 cavities so I was shocked he also told me I would have to be numbed as they were deep cavities. I felt very uneasy about going in for all these fillings so I waited two months so I could see my regular dentist on my trip to Sac. I didn't tell my dentist anything and he told me my teeth looked great and no cavities just one on watch. Needless to say I'm very glad I didn't go through with getting 6 cavities filled! I've been going to this dentist for only 7 months. They are wonderful. My husband's dental insurance through his work is about to change and unfortunately, this office not one of their contracted providers. So I had to start the process of finding someone else. I came here to Yelp to check out the reviews on the dentists that are covered and what I found was horrible! I didn't realize how good I had it by having this dentist. It made me even more upset that this office isn't covered. The entire staff is friendly, accommodating, well organized, they never seem to be overbooked, there's a TV in the waiting room and video games for the kids. I went in with my daughter to get a filling for myself, they offered us both water and turned on a movie for her to watch. The dentist recommended a crown for my tooth and when I explained to him that I would like to just do a filling instead, he did not argue with me to try and get more money. In fact, he recommended the treatment that would be less expensive for me because it was better for my future dental plans. They seem to really care about the patient's oral health and not just about making money, which is what I'm seeing in a lot of reviews on dentists here. Their women in the front desks are rude. I am a sister. This is our second time visit here with my brother. This time they ask for my age. They look at me like am a 12 years old. They said I have to have an approval with my parents. Oh man! I am 21! The first time we visit they didn't ask for anything. They blame me I didn't bring my brothers card. My families are busy, I end up have to call my mom 4-5 times just to see a doctor. She finally send a fax message to them. I want to ask, what if the person who faxed is not even his mom.
