Who'd have thunk that you could get sushi in Bristol, Texas. The sushi was awesome. My husband and I had heard you could get sushi in Bristol, so we thought we would give it a shot. There are only a couple of tables outside where you can sit, so you pretty much need to order it "to go." It was made fresh right after we ordered. read more

We were headed through the Bluebonnet Trail and I had been researching where to stop and eat. Bristol General Store kept popping up as the place to go. So we purposely went the Palmer route to Bristol rather than going further to Ennis. WOW!!! What a waste of our time. My husband went in and the lady working there, not the owner, told him they only had sushi certain days of the week. Then she proceeded to be very rude to him. Best sushi in Ellis County and one of the best I've had in Texas. Definitely not what you would expect from a convenience store in a town of about 500 people (probably less). Family owned and only serves Sushi Friday through Sunday I believe. Very friendly service. Dine in or carry out. read more

Well worth the drive to Bristol. We had our doubts about a sushi place in such a rural place, but the sushi rolls turned out to be very tasty, the fish was surprisingly fresh. We got our orders to go, but saw the dining area was filled with customers chowing down on the food. Sushi is served 4pm-8:30pm Wednesday and all day Thursday through Sunday. Best sushi you can get, the drive is gorgeous and the prices are very reasonable. The other food is great also- I love the orange chicken and my husband loves the Bulgogi. read more

We had sushi twice in this place, year after year, during our bluebonnet trail trips. We were extremely happy with our meals and surprised how in this little town at the gas station you can get such a great sushi. Today's visit was very disappointing. Sushi was not that quality that used to be. Why is, that after a many great reviews suddenly quality of food gets worse? Owners do not have to try hard anymore to keep guests coming?
