Tried the out of control roll. Supposably has 'spicy salmon' and jalapeño. The roll wasn't spicy at all and lacked flavor. The roll is reasonably sized & priced. Staff is friendly & attentive. I would go back to try other options. read more

We always enjoy this restaurant. The food is excellent and it's impossible to have any better service. Last night we celebrated multiple things, one of which was the birthday memorial of a close friend who passed 5 years ago. His favorite drink was A&W root beer and he actually had an A&W tire cover on his jeep, t shirt, etc. We ordered our usual food but then my husband also ordered a root beer (unspecified brand). It took a little bit for the root beer to come but when it did it was in a cold 20 ounce bottle of A&W that I think someone went somewhere to get for us. They apologized for the delay saying they had ran out of root beer. Little did they know it was perfect. We drank to his honor, RIP my friend. An unexpected stop on our drive to Houston from Dallas, we both loved our food at Fuji in Corsicana. The service was fantastic, and they brought out our orders quite quickly. I enjoyed my vegetable roll and tuna roll. I'm limited due to my dairy and egg intolerance but still had many options to choose from. My boyfriend got the lunch special #2 which was a lot of food. He also got an appetizer. Overall, the food was a very good value and definitely exceeded my expectations. The place is very unassuming, but you can tell they put a lot of effort into their sushi. Now I would not say the sushi is better than what I eat in Houston typically; however, it was a great meal, and I would come back if I were on the road and in that direction again. We went here because it received so any 5 star reviews. The service was good. However, the sushi was fair. The temperature of the fish was too warm for my liking. It should have had that slightly cold temp. This was definitely warm which gave the sushi a mushy texture. The menu choices lacked creativity. It was either a fried roll or a roll with cream cheese. This is our second time dinning in our "local and only" Sushi place. We have ordered take out several times and this place is always on point. From the service to the food. If they have a roll you like but don't like an ingredient they will make it to please. We don't like white fish and my husband is allergic to cucumbers and they were very accommodating. The spicy edamame and dumplings are the Bomb. The only thing I could say bad is that they don't serve and wine except Sake. A glass of red wine would be nice. They do have several beers on the menu. Other than that I can't say anything negative about this place. Service and food are excellent. Even thought the place maybe busy- think of that as a good sign. Ok. I am a self proclaimed sushi snob. I'm really picky. I was also incredibly skeptical about a sushi place in Corsicana. I mean...it's Corsicana... Sushi is sketchy if it's done wrong. Well I shouldn't have worried. I ordered a Rainbow Roll to start and it was actually really good. the fish was very fresh and the roll neat. It was rolled tightly and held together very well. Next I had the Spicy Couple and Steamed Gyoza. The Spicy Couple had just the right kick to it and everything was fresh. Great blend of flavor and texture. The steamed Gyoza was slightly bland, but the sauce completely made up for it. I mean I could drink that sauce! Really good. I will most certainly be a regular here. The only thing I didn't like was the seating at the sushi bar. The chairs are too high for the counter and there is a runner board under the counter top that makes sitting close to the counter impossible. No worries though. They have other seating. They were really busy while I was there and my server, Mike was the only server. He was running around like a madman to keep everyone happy. Very very polite and a hard worker. read more

This is an unassuming little place from the outside but it looks like they invested quite a bit on the inside. It's very nice inside for a small town sushi place. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice. He brought our teas in nice big mugs. The miso soup was the best I ever had; chock-full of tofu, and the sushi rolls were big and delicious! We ordered four. The Ifly, The Gulfport, The big hero, and the one roll. The rolls are so big our waiter said that's a lot of sushi! Ha! We sacrificed ourselves and ate every last bit. The person working did not let us know our order was in the to go table which is in part our fault, so will admit to that, but would have been nice if the girl who took the order kindly let us know since there were few people inside to begin with. Sushi itself was okay, nothing else to compare it to really in a small town. Would just order to go next time before getting there, the place is small. I have Aspergers and social scenes I'm fine with most of the time but I was haveing problems today but sushi is my comfort food and I figured going out today was fine since your place has great food and feel. So I brought up can I add chicken and she told me that's fine we will upcharge for more. I kinda felt like I needed a minute to collect my thoughts so I looked and she came back quickly over a course of time where I kinda felt pressured to order just anything so I ordered rice after she brought my friend over food laughing as she left. I also could hear her laughing each time with folks or coworkers maybe about me over by her station after she visited my table, I kinda felt like I wanted to leave but I had already ordered. Finally we left after the meal, but idk if I'll return for a long while, hopefully the waiters will change. I do enjoy the food but service was rough with the lady there. additionally, our waiter asked us for our debt card information due to there Internet being down, but didn't tell us until after the meal, I had to stay while my friend went to pull money out of the atm, we could have been told before hand about this but she did not let us know. we attended lunch there around Wednesday of the 11th around 1pm. read more

I went to Fuji last week for the second time with my mother who couldn't care less if she ever ate sushi. The first visit was phenomenal so I wanted to see if it would meet my expectation again. We ordered the Texas Longhorn and Hawaiian rolls. They blew her away they were so delicious. We also got the refreshing cucumber salad. It is so good. I was so leery when I heard of a sushi place in Corsicana, but after two perfect visits and ice cold Kirin and some of the best sushi I've ever had, I am a believer. And even more amazing, my sushi skeptical mother said that is where she wants to go for her birthday. That blew me away. read more

Stopped here for lunch with friends who suggested this location. We tried the combo chicken & shrimp noodles & a side order of steamed Gyoza (dumplings). One order served both of us & we still had leftovers. Everything was tasty & fresh. The inside dining was clean & spacious. We highly recommend this eating establishment. read more

Great food, fast and friendly service, not much more you could ask for! I ordered a to-go order of 4 rolls right when they opened at 5pm, the women who took my order read it back to me (I could have sworn she repeated back all 4 rolls), and she gave me an order number. I go down there (I don't live here btw, just visiting and this was my first time here), give my order number, and they had only made 3 of the 4 rolls. They didn't make excuses, didn't make it a problem, they just apologized and made the missing roll, the lady who gave me the order was so sweet and nice as well as the sushi chef, No big deal, mistakes happen, within about 5 minutes the roll was done and I was on my way with another apology and a sincere sounding "have a great rest of your day"......If I feel like having sushi while I'm down here, this is the place I'll be going! Prices where also very reasonable for the quality compared to other places I've been, and I've been to A LOT of sushi restaurants! read more
