I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by an uncomfortable environment. During my visit, I witnessed several individuals engaged in negative conversations about others--particularly targeting newer guests or employees. One person named Rosie seemed to be the loudest and most persistent in this behavior, which created a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Everyone deserves to feel respected and safe in any environment, especially when they're new. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way. I hope management becomes more aware of the culture being fostered here and takes steps to encourage a more inclusive and respectful environment. Until then, I can't recommend this place.

Pretty cool chill bar, they only serve beer which it is a deal breaker, but tried their Champagne Mango Peach Schnapps Mango Pure it is delicious We also had excellent customer service from Kristin. We will definitely be coming back.

I roll into the dimly lit parking lot behind the Britestar. Is it the light that enchants this moth? Or the multiple varieties of beer and wine? I have to admit some trepidation from seeing the gloomily illuminated exterior. But how wrong I was! The clean, smoke free interior has the look of a "cheers" type of bar, very brightly lit oh Britestar. "Natty," the charming and friendly bartender, made me feel right at home. I ordered up a fresh tasting Pabst Blue Ribbon and hunkered down at the end of the bar. Sports played on the tv and friendly looking people were enjoying a game of pool.

No longer accepts debit/credit cards as of 2011. Five dollar beers, and "substandard service". Official motto. Service is good.

Amazing…read morebeers, delicious food, a cool hybrid restaurant setup, attentive staff with cool uniforms. The place was the sh*t. I've come here several times over the past couple years and it's more and more dead at the restaurant every time. The waitresses are absolutely dreadful. Every request is forgotten or takes 20 mins to arrive at the table. When we arrived we waited 20 mins for a waitress. We asked for some sauce, they forgot. We ordered a pizza, which was delivered to the wrong table. When we wanted to leave, the check took 20 mins as well. Now I have a crying baby and I'm waiting for them to try and split the check two ways and I eventually give up knowing that the task is too much for them to handle and just pay it all on one card. We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Quality like this cannot be tolerated. Travis, the former owner, would be ashamed of this fall from grace. R.I.P. Congregation Ale House

Gen has that rare gift of being everywhere at once: your glass never empties, but somehow she also has time to crack a joke, swap a story, and make you feel like you're the only person in the room. Her style? Effortlessly cool. The kind where you wonder if she was born behind a barstool with a cocktail shaker in her hand. Smooth, attentive, and utterly unflappable, she manages the chaos of a busy bar with the calm of a Zen master and the charm of your funniest friend. They just don't teach service like this anymore -- it's an art form. And Gen? She's Picasso with a pour spout. If The Wheel Bar has a secret ingredient, it's Gen. This is disturbing considering our matches ended at 11:30pm. That's also an issue, bc there is one table, we can only play one match at a time, so now we here forever. There is nothing special or significant about this bar. The reason I gave 1 star was the bathroom. I kid you not, there was a fucking hole in the woman's bathroom window! The screen was destroyed, literally anyone can stick their face in and watch you pee. This is really unsafe and so fucked up.

The place is smallish, has one pool table, a couple TVs, but no draught beer, food, or Happy Hour. They do offer karaoke on Wednesdays and either Fridays or Sundays (can't recall) and the crowd was thrilled to be belting out their favorite tunes. Parking is available in front, in back, and on street. NOTE: They do allow smoking inside. There's a good selection of bottle beers, but nothing on tap. Of course, you can get shots and simple cocktails, but they didn't have the ingredients to make an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Drink prices were very reasonable ($13 for a Malibu & Coke and a Mudslide). We asked about food and were told that on occasion one of the women working there will bring something in or fire up a grill, but it's not a regular thing. Overall, it's a fun neighborhood bar with friendly service, and an intimate place to gather, hang out, and meet/make new friends. We'll be back.

Drink prices are not any higher than anywhere else, cocktails may even be a little cheaper here, depending on what you order. It's conveniently located right on Grand Ave. I drove up & down Grand Ave for a long time never realizing this was a bar just because it kind of inconspicuous. It's in the middle of industrial buildings on one side & a liquor store & gas station on the other. I personally have never seen any kind of disrespect or "bad" behavior from customers. Everyone & everything is always just chill, having some adult beverages ( or not) , having conversations, socializing. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a nice little cozy place to hang out at.
