I joined under the impression that the gym had a functioning steam room, based on signage posted in the locker room. After joining, I learned the sign was outdated and the steam room no longer operated as advertised. Since that amenity was one of the reasons I chose this gym, I decided to cancel my membership. What surprised me even more was being told that I was locked into a 12-month contract. I had been a member for less than a month, and at no point during the sign-up process was it clearly explained that I was committing to a year-long agreement. Given today's fitness industry, where month-to-month memberships are common, I reasonably assumed this was also a month-to-month membership unless told otherwise. In fact I was told the first 30 days was a free trial. But based on some of the reviews here, it seems they do not honor that 30 day trial period. I requested to cancel because the gym did not provide the service it appeared to advertise, yet they refused to release me from the contract. Being held to a year-long agreement under those circumstances feels unfair and predatory. It's unfortunate because the staff were pleasant, but the membership practices overshadowed the experience. I cannot recommend a business that advertises amenities it doesn't provide and then refuses to let customers cancel after discovering the discrepancy.

That is a good deal if you go every week, for sure. A lesson is usually $33 which is crazy expensive. Had to dock a star because they definitely dock 3 minutes from your 30min lesson. Assuming it's to give time for the transition between classes, but that comes at a cost for the paying customers. I know it's only 3 minutes, but a 30min class is already so short. Wish there were more dryers because there's always a line for it.
