Mary was super nice explaining the history and how her family came to own the winery formerly known as St. Mary. The first three tastings are free and you can purchase additional tastings for $5. Three was plenty for us to decide which glasses and bottles to order. Her special sangria was delicious and the perfect slushy drink for the hot Texas day in early July. We ordered a bottle to go as well. The patio was not bad with a slight breeze and fans. The grapes they grow and make wine on site are sweet, however they partner with another winery for dryer wines. My personal favorites were the C'est La Vie, Cajun Culade, and the Penelope Peach. We wound up buying a bottle of each since they was all delicious and deciding on just one was impossible. The property was beautiful and very picturesque to enjoy a glass of wine by. The tasting room/shop has a patio that overlooks a pond with swans and a barn. Would be great for hosting an event at. We had a 6:00 reservation for ten people. It was 7:00 before we received the chips and queso. It was also supposed to come with green sauce. I didn't want to ask for it because it would have taken even longer. Not to mention that we got two different kinds of cheese and chips. All of our meals trickled out over 45 minutes.
