Crooked Beech was one of those breweries that I hadn't tried yet. I had the Gratitude, an American Light Lager which was okay but not all that memorable unfortunately. Flavor highlights to look for with this beer are watery, hoppy, yeasty and juicy. But to be honest I mostly detected the watery aspect and the yeasty aspect and had a hard time picking up the other characteristics. The beer is also very light bodied so if you do enjoy this beer then it's not too much of a stretch to have another. Excuse on the blurry picture. We had a little weather early on, and they help us flow into the inside space and offered all kinds of help. Fortunately the weather brightened up and guests were able to fully enjoy the fire pit, corn hole, and the live music (solo artist who did great covers!). Great variety of drinks, food truck was perfect, and many of our guests shared how much they loved the space and the vibe. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. It wasn't until I asked for my check because I was ready to leave that she suddenly asked if I was planning to eat. That level of inattentiveness is frustrating and completely avoidable. It's especially disappointing because the location is fantastic, the vibe is great, the food is consistently excellent, and every other bartender and staff member I've interacted with, including the manager, has been amazing. There are some truly great bartenders there who provide attentive, friendly service and make the experience enjoyable. But if I walk in and see her behind the bar, I will not stay. She has completely turned me off from being there when she is working.
